I have checked and the power cab has 6 when you go to set cab have to hit enter once to get to set # of recalls. And it can be set to 6 then hit enter and then escape.
@@arthurhouston3 Thank you. I looked at NCE's website as I have an older firmware version. If you have firmware 1.65 or newer on the Power Cab you now have the 6 loco recalls, but Power Cabs that don't have that new firmware still only has 2 recalls. That is why mine only has two. I will have to do a Firmware update so I can now get to six. Thank you.
Ah the beauty of. Jmri. Wifi throttle aka back up system for these issues and I'm 100% digitrax for this reason as digitrax now can diagnose issues via a loconet monitor (built into jmri) and they have it where you can do firmware updates on your jmri also
Thanks for sharing this. I will have to utilize this on my throttles. I have a NCE 5amp ProCab for my personal layout that is still in the building phase. I am curious if I need a booster as I keep building and go to a total of 10 amps. I am only planning to have up to 3 people operating trains simultaneously. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated! - Jason
Have to check how many recalls it is set to. Option is 1 to 6. I set all of mine to 2. Road engines and a switcher. First select a loco and enter. Then hit recall then select loco and enter. Then hit select loco again. If zeros come up on loco hit seclect loco 4 more times you should see one of the 2 locos you selected appear. If so then you have to decide how many you want and program the system. Think it same on power cab and master pro 5 amp system.
Do you operate with anyone in your area. There is a group called op sig and they have a meet in the Co area each year. If you are member you can sing up and if get a spot may get a slot to operate on it. Usually John has open house on Sat night during the event for all attending to visit.
Thanks Arthur! I will start using the recall feature soon. NCE is still the easiest DCC controller out there. I also have the Loconet system. It is used for other feedback and telemetry systems that do not pertain to controlling locomotives or turnouts.
