NCIS: Los Angeles || Why In The Hell Are You Doing This To Eric|| Eric & Nell 

Penelope has NEVER raised her voice to Henrietta. Hell, I can't think of a time that she's ever raised her voice to ANY of her coworkers other than when she called Callen, Sam, and Deeks in for the op to go rescue Kensi. Penelope was hurt, scared, and angry ...... and she dropped all that out on Henrietta. and STILL contained herself more than pretty much anyone else would have.

@@j.c.t. I think they will be fine. just like Densi, Neric does have to deal with "real" relationship issues. at the end of the day, they love each other. I'm more ... concerned ... about Penelope's relationship with Henrietta.

It did not happen though.

I honestly don't think Eric WANTS to be a field agent. the times that Eric has gone in undercover (with the lone exception being the couples retreat that Neric went under together in S8) .... were computer-based gigs. shit that literally is right up Eric's alley. Hetty even said that herself. Knowing Hetty ... she probably started setting this scenario up during S10, knowing that tech companies like this one had been courting Eric for years. If Eric truly wanted to be a field agent ... I absolutely believe Sam and Callen would have trained him, just like he's had firearms training.

Because its a TV show.

@@wgnd1614 I think they're OK with him NOT being a field agent, just like they're OK with leaving Deeks as a LAPD liaison.

in that line of work, you're right. but it doesn't make it any easier. the mission Eric was on .... he was the most qualified to take it. and Hetty probably knew it would be hardest on Penelope.

Love the Rookie until last night. They are now turning everyone gay. It is not needed.

They've been progressively changing Penelope since she first got there.

She haven't changed, she have evolved.

She can be selfish at times but Hetty trusts her life with them and so do they. Hetty knows what she is doing which is why she is still in the position she is.

To say Hetty is "not a good person" is unfair, and inaccurate. Hetty has had to make brutally tough calls for the agents under her command for a LONG time ... often putting them in danger and putting strain on her relationship with them. most of the time, it has worked out. on some occasions (like with Lauren Hunter), it hasn't. it is the one part of her job that Penelope literally told her she can't do ... the part of Hetty that she can't be (which is so accurate about Penelope) ... and Hetty knows Penelope is right.

I've already been questioning her supposed wisdom. Keeping things from family, by blood or by bond, is never a good idea. She strikes me as arrogant and a hypocrite.

@@Steamblade14 Callen knew what Eric was doing. if you listen to a conversation he had with Sam while they were in SF ... and the one he had with Hetty .... he KNEW. I suspect Sam knew, too .... and that's why she only had them two go to SF.

I am positive Hetty told him NOT to talk to Penelope about it ... and considering they bugged his place, that probably kept them off his trail long enough for him to get what he needed to get. Her methods are not a perfect science ... the op's with Lauren Hunter and Kensi Blye are the two most obvious examples of that. I get the feeling Hetty is gonna retire at the end of S11. the last two episodes, plus the upcoming one (maybe two), are giving me enough bread crumbs to lead me to believe her endgame is coming soon. and Hetty wants to name her replacement. She wanted Lauren Hunter to be it, but she got blown up. We all heard what Penelope said. so that leaves Callen. I believe he WILL take it, tho he doesn't really want to.
