Sticker is an incredibly ambitious song that I personally LOVED from first listen. It's so vocally impressive, the beat is SO weird I love it and the choreo is great. This is a perfect indicator of NCT's "Experimental" tag. They truly can and will do anything. "Sticker" was the title track and was confidently promoted for a long time! It won them their most amount of music show wins as well, NCTzens and the general public were very conflicted and divided on how to feel about the song, but it was very successful regardless. NCT 127 are very proud of their experimental style and this era was a lot of fun lol Unfortunately it's also a song that got ridicilous amounts of hate for 127 and NCT as a whole, so some NCTzens are pretty protective of this song, but most of us understand the adjustment needed when hearing it for the first time.

“As soon as my brain wraps around what’s happening-“ is literally Sticker in a nutshell. There is no predictable melody to the song, which makes it disorienting on first listen. However once you understand the path the song takes, your brain can relax and soak in all the glory 😂

Sticker was very controversial 😂 because of the beat or the flute. It's very trippy and takes some getting used to, but it grew on me, and hopefully, it will grow on you too. It's like a roller coaster ride.

I was so confused by the song until I heard it live. The fans go crazy for it at concerts and their encore stages on music shows have become legendary because they sound so good.

The 26 members includes Wish and does not include Lucas, Sungchan or Shotaro (all 3 are previous members, but no longer in the group so no they are not counted). If you're interested in the trend of members/units over the years here's a little break down lol 2016 (NCT Debut Year) - 14 members and 3 units (NCT U, NCT 127 and NCT Dream). Taeil, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung. 2017 - 15 members and 3 units. All previous members PLUS Johnny. 2018 - 18 members and 3 units. All previous members PLUS Kun, Jungwoo and Lucas. 2019 - 21 members and 4 units (WayV debut). All previous members PLUS Xiaojun, Hendery and Yangyang. 2020 - 23 members and 4 units. All previous members PLUS Shotaro and Sungchan. 2021 - 22 members and 4 units. No new members added, but Lucas's hiatus started here and obviously he never came back. 2022 - 22 members and 4 units. No changes. 2023 - 20 members and 5 units (NCT DoJaeJung debut). Sungchan and Shotaro were officially removed from the group and added to new SM boy group Riize. 2024 - 26 members and 6 units (NCT Wish debut). All previous members PLUS Sion, Yushi, Riku, Jaehee, Ryo and Sakuya.

Omgg Sticker is the boss level of Neo genre lolll 😂. Even the members were speechless too at first 😂. The thing is, every person on youtube who is actually in the music industry, like producers, sound engineers, musical students etc., they all loved it and thought Sticker was genius. So i always see it like Sticker is this abstract painting that most of us just don't understand the beauty of, but to people who know art, it's ART and it's EXPENSIVE. And because, guess what, this era, this album, is what gives them Daesang, like the highest "grammy" award in Korea, and their album sales were also the highest if i'm not mistaken. Sooo....there's that.

Sticker is so fun to listen. The more you listen to it with headphone you will find new elements. Impressive vocal that no one dare to cover, very hard technique. It has a unique mixed beat but so addictive if it grows on you. The rap part is fire as always, loveeee the choreo

Sticker is definitely an either you like it or you don't song. It took me a couple of listens before it clicked with me, but I definitely can understand why others hate it. Even by NCT's standards this was very experimental.

I never seemed to hear what everyone else did when they said this was hard to understand or didn't flow, for me it just makes sense. Whereas Chain and Firetruck took me ages to like! Chain is like asmr to me haha

Well this one is quite the Neo sound... It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea , as a NCTzen I still can't get into it ,but hey this won them awards and is well liked by many. The flute and some vocal mixing sound kinda wonky here and there but it's NCT they do what no one dares to 💚

1) I love “Back Door.” It’s one of my favorites. 2) Apropos of nothing, at one point during your discussion of the mv I felt the need to look up the word “discordant.” People aren’t kidding when they say you’ll either love or hate “Sticker.” It is hands down their most challenging single. All the same, ambivalence also seems to be a common reaction. Me, I like it, though it doesn’t make my top 5. I actually listened to it recently without watching the video, and boy, the instrumental arrangement is weird! I knew it was odd, but it really does scramble your brain, and I say this as someone who loves the piano on it. There’s even a video of the group listening to the demo, and you can see most them wondering if they could do it. Which brings me to my point: This is one of the very best groups in K-pop. All due respect to the other fine groups out there, but NO ONE ELSE could have gotten away with this one, their most successful in terms of music show wins.

I will always be queen's Sticker biggest defender but of course my brain is very Neo wired indeed. When we went to see 127 in Thailand with Unity, my only regret was that Sticker wasn’t on the setlist 🥲💚. The only bigger regret about the setlist was that Gimme Gimme wasn’t there also (my fav 127 song) so I would love to see your reaction to that! Ah, Sticker, the masterpiece that you are 👏🏻.

Sticker is a HOOD track. Culturally it encompasses what I call a nikka night of chaos. Every instrument sonically takes me to a era in music, it's remnants of a era lived. This track is a journey in life and sound. The instrumentation causes confusion if you can't find it's placement. Demjointz has placed the 1800's, 50's, 90's, 00's in one song. It's a piece of art because he wrote a story rhythmically. Great reaction guys. Many have a hard time with Sticker but the nostalgia is beautiful.

also - they got this great thing called "uncuts", where they show the behind the scenes of the recording of songs/albums, or them learning the dance. Great way to get to know their talent and personality! (the recording behind for sticker actually shows them hearing the demo for it for the first time 😉)

I would highly suggest listening to this song with Headphones. This song heavily divided the fandom. It literally still gets brought up by antis to this day as well. Whenever you hear "Incominngggg" in the beginning of an NCT 127 song (and EXO) that's the producer tag of Dem Jointz, FYI. Him and NCT are a match made in heaven. He really understands and executes their Neo sound well.

Yeah, they barely did live with this song, because i guess it was sooo technical and quite hard. You can watch the recording videos and see just how much effort they put in this song and they completely nailed it. But they did do the live singing for the encore on MCountdown (music show) which i think is hands down one of the best live encore songs ever. They sound EXACTLY just like the studio version, because there's just so little instrumentation on the background and minimal autotunes i guess, they just sound sooo goood

When I first heard Sticker, I was so disappointed for them because I thought it was going to be a big flop and I didn't like it. The joke was on me - they won music shows with it 10 times and after a few listens, I loved it. Now I can't live without it. 😂

Nct 127 is my fav Nct subunit not only are they all amazing dancers/singers and rappers but my 3 nct biases are also in the subunit. sticker is quite a song fr its ambitious and kinda experimental. And bc of that not everyone liked it, it lacks of a supported instrumental base and its in constant change, also with all that sounds coming up w/o any pause seems too much for a first listening. So harmonies and vocals are the main character here, its a fun song if you're open to songs with that structure but yeah, its confusing and thats why i loved it since day 1

I loved this song on first listen, and I think it's a combination of 1) I honestly don't listen to background instrumentation very much?? like my brain catches on to melodies, and 2) the vocals are SOO good. Doyoung growling 'baby' in that first verse sold me, I didn't care about the rest.

HAHAHAHAHAHA you both should reac to their reactions. Its hilarious. HAHAHAHAHA Anyways, they did an encore for this song, love, without any backtrack. Funny thing is, whenever there's an encore controversy, a lot of people, or knetz in particular are going back to their Sticker encore, bc they did it effortlessly.

I cannot listen to this song unless its one of the live versions. For me, it's the autotune. They pitched it too high and it was not necessary because their vocals are wonderful without it. I have the same problem with many 2nd gen songs that overused autotune but is amazing live, SuJu and Shinee especially.
