oh I definitely think Mark wrote that part. Idk if it's because I'm Mark biased too but there are always certain parts in nct lyrics that really stand out to me poetically or metaphorically and it's almost always something Mark and Taeyong have written. It's like his writer self coming out and doing his thing. Did you know he wanted to be an author when he was younger? Being an idol is something so different from that dream but it feels like he still satisfies that part of him with writing lyrics. And he writes A LOT. As far as I know, he currently has 56 songwriting credits under his name. And this is just for the works registered under the Korean Music Copyright Association. I know there are other tracks that he's also participated in writing for, like their song with Marteen, or with Ava Max

OK! is at the top of my favs list too, practically from the very first listen The music of OK! sounds mesmerising and enticing indeed, but also has a swirling, dangerous, and perhaps tragic feeling to it too. And the way they repeat the same lines over and over and over... hypnotic, also no resolution I am actually impressed by any person who can get to a hard patch of a relationship (growing distance and Jeno's lines mention lack of trust) and say that they still have faith they can work through things if they both want to, get past just being together all the time to living well together while also having space. However, the desperation in the lines "whatever you want, I will change it" is when you are tipping into something harmful perhaps... As soon as I heard "she wants to dance with a ghost" I started thinking about the long tradition of ghost stories in Korea... Ghost= someone/thing dead and gone. They can also haunt and pull energy from the living... But if you are stuck in the past, leaving who you are with presently to give your mental/emotional energy to something dead and gone... people leave each other all the time this way x

I got the impression Ok was about how the ghost was their old self and the girl wants them to be how they were. But they’re a different person now. Then saying “I’ll be different” meaning they’ll try to be how they were.

There’s a song I really like by St. Vincent that has this lyric: “slip my hand from your hand / leave you dancing with a ghost.” That was the first thing I thought of when I heard OK! Like you said they’re begging the girl to stay, but I imagine the girl being like let go of my hand, I want to dance with your ghost. I don’t know, it doesn’t really make sense but if Ade can suggest twerking girls, I can put out the idea of ghost NCT.

Know Now is my other fav from the middle section of the album. It feels so optimistic and like a new beginning, like starting off on a new journey. (And the fact that Mark wrote his lines, I love his writing style) This lyric vid doesn't have my fav translation but just listen to these words encouraging someone to shake off the loneliness and move forward: "If you are secretly hurting on your own Stop trying to hide your broken heart And don't stand in front of a barrier" I feel like they are saying- yeah, the mess ups and hard times of the past are real, but you don't have to dwell on them, you know more now and you can move forward, move forward with me. And the way Mark ends with: "Think you know me now, huh? I still have so much more to know about myself I'ma take my time with you" (He did say in their livestream this was his message or summary of the meaning of the song) So much optimism for the adventure of the future

I love how you react to them, some reactors just forget that these boys are professionals and literally has more than half a decade of experience. I also like how SM lets them use the singing tones they're comfortable in unlike some companies who force their artists to change their tones
