You know what? Watching NCT Dream from chewing gum until now is like raising a kid. From a baby, toddler, teenager and an adult My kiddos is an adult now🥺
A lot of people actually don’t like Go, which I found surprising (many said they dislike it because of the chant chorus). but personally Go is one of my favorite Dream title tracks 🙇🏻♀️ to answer your question, I remember being really excited seeing the teasers for Go because I just wasn’t able to get into any of their songs before besides My First and Last
I was one of those people, which was confusing since Go has some of my fav Renjun parts. The chant gave me flashbacks of a highschool pep rally (cringe). It still went on my playlist and after a few months it became one of my fav Dream songs.
In this era, 127 and Dream kind of switched their concepts. 127, who used to have hard and dark songs, suddenly released "Touch" which has a bright and cute concept. Meanwhile, Dream, which used to have a bright and cute concept, suddenly released the song Go, which was hard and dark.
When "Go" NCT DREAM came out I was confused for like 2 days (even if I expected more mature concept), because in the same time NCT 127 released "Touch" and it was like those two units switched 😂 It felt like being in an alternative universe or something, where NCT 127 are the cute ones and DREAM are badass haha
also, i’d say We Go Up and Don’t Need Your Love are the two comebacks that are more on the brighter side, though they haven’t really gone back to that super cutesy vibe. both are more of a brighter, youthful, but not overly cute sound! i think you’d enjoy them a lot as well :)
Being around when this first came out. We definitely knew there was going to be a jump in title track sound as the boys were getting older. But even then no NCTzen was truly prepared for Go. We were also insanely excited to have Jaemin back with the boys and healthy as it had been SOOO long since we had seen him. It was an immediate addition to the library
Before the MV dropped... they actually released some teaser photos and videos.... They were a very good give away. Very effective to know things had changed. You actually should watched them on your own time, they were quite something. Even if I absolutely loved their bright concept, NCT DREAM concept was never just being bright and cute, they are all about growing up, progressive evolution (even from Chewing gum to My first and last, it's not the same kind of cuteness) so instead of mourning like some fans did at that time (probably the fans that still don't like GO), I was so happy about that. They were finally acting like teenagers. GO is all about rebellion so it was really a perfect progression. I feel like for their future comeback... they will probably do something that shows they are all adult now and this is quite scary but this is a way for them to continue to grow and try new things too so I am curious to see what they will have in store for us (when they will do/announce a comeback). Also the ones rapping in during the second verse are Jaemin and then Jeno.... they just.... had grown a lot (imagine what was everyone state when Jaemin came back after his one year and a half hiatus looking like that and also rapping... a real shock)
omg i loved this reaction!! glad to see you appreciate dream as they’re so underrated in the states!! the guy rapping at 10:51 is jeno, the lead rapper. i love how you said he looks like a face you’d never seen before- jeno is actually known for his duality! he has the most adorable eye smile and quiet (relatively) personality but on stage he is COMPLETELY different! his faces just changes (and he’s also the muscles of dream hehe) (by the way, his name is pronounced jeh-no, not jee-no, and chenle’s name is pronounced chun-luh, not chun-lay). jaemin and jeno are the primary rappers other than mark, but hiding sometimes raps too. hope that was helpful!! excited to see more dream and nct content :)
just for help pronouncing some names chenle is said like ch-ahn-luh , jeno is said like j-eh-no , renjun said like r-ahn-jin. for further help i recommend watching how to pronounce nct dream names by k splash!! a lot of their names aren't said as they are spelled. hoping you read this comment :)

Yayy nct also in "go" Jaemin was back he was the first one you mistaked for Renjun in "go", also the 2 rappers in dream besides mark are Jaemin and Jeno in "go" the first rapper is Jaemin then Jeno and then mark can't wait for more reactions and thank you for the content:))

More NCT dream, thank you😭 Jaemin was absent during the two songs after chewing gum (which is my first and last and we young) but he came back in Go(so the change was too extreme for me back then lmao) he went from chewing gum to Go. 8:40 this dude is Jaemin btw not Renjun. This first guy rapping was also Jaemin 10:35 (the one with the beanie. He unfortunately ain’t smiling here lmao) the next one is Jeno 10:43. And you already know Mark. Seeing grown up dreamies dancing to we young is... an experience. Like I could not see the old dream seeing how jeno is built like a freaking boxer now
"Go" was released leading up to the NCT2018 project. So idk if it was intentionally done by SM, but they essentially had NCT Dream and 127 "switch" concepts. Dream had this darker look while NCT 127 had a much brighter softer look in "Touch". You'll see where it goes with Dream's next concept :)
Very happy that you're continuing the Dream reactions!:) Jaemin was the one who rapped with that deep voice at 10:35 which was craazzzy when the song came out since this is the first thing that was heard of him since Chewing Gum! This really took me by surprise back then😅
I used to really dislike dreams songs as it was too cutesy for me but then one day we young came on my shuffle... like a lot and then it started growing on me and I would see along to the Korean lyrics and it became such an ear worm. Honestly I thank we young and Nct dream for opening my perspective on cute concepts.
Go is like the turning point for NCT Dream since dream is comprised of all youngest members and they had a youthful & energetic concept, they can't be kids/teenagers for the rest of their lives. As Go was released last 2018, members are turning mid teenage already and 1 member became an adult that year, so it must be a head start for the fans that NCT Dream will be taking more mature concept in the future. Fun fact: NCT Dream & NCT 127 swapped the concepts giving Dream a mature song & 127 doing a cute & bubbly song. (Go & Touch, both songs from their NCT 2018 full length album: Empathy).
It's really awrsone that you did the research, like looking at photoshoots of different eras, so you can more easily recognise members 👏 Love the effort! 💐 We really appreciate it 😊💚 And that you read and remembered that JM wasn't in We Go Up and they went harder/different concept than before with Go. Yeah, the We Go Up video has a Petr Pan theme/feel with the crocodile, lost shaddow etc. and yeah, is a bit trippy, but yeah, the instrumental slaps! Super Summer hit! 😁 And yes, believe the Go mv was filmed in LA. Yeah, we saw the teasers so we expected it, and Jaemin was back! Their title tracks have been a bit 'harder/mature/hype' since Go, but many of their B-sides are still lighter and has a Dream sound 😊 Some help with pronouncing the names since it's different than Western pronunciation. In China of the 'e' in the middle of a word/syllable has more a 'u' sound. Like Chenle is pronounced like Chun-Luh. His Family name is Zhong, 'zh' makes a strong 'j' sound so his Family name is pronounced like Jong with emphasis on the 'J'. Renjun is similar so the 'e' has more a 'u' (uh) sound so It's 'Run'/Ruhn but the 'u' in the Jun part is more a soft/short sound like 'ea/i' mix so Renjun is pronounced like Run-jean/Run-jin (the second syllable/part of his name is a little faster/shorter?). Jeno is not Jeano, the sound from the first three letters of JENnifer or GENtlemen - so it's Jen-o like that. Hope this kinda helps...? The others you pronounce very well - your Korean names are good 😊👌

I think you should watch a lyric video. Also, Jeno, Jaemin, and Jisung are all rappers(along with Mark obviously) and Chenle, Renjun, and Haechan are all Main Vocalists(don’t ask. 127 has 4.)
For me when first heard this song I hate it because of the sudden change in their concept, I felt like they grow up so fast and I wasn’t ready yet to see my chewing gum kids on their way to becoming adults 😂 but later I loved this song much and now it's one of my top five TITLE songs by NCT DREAM the lyrics are so beautiful and their voices and the dance are amazing everything is perfect.
i personally love this...i m like you...127 is my unit...but from this onwards i love it...the boys r fantastic singers and dancers and i enjoy d the more grown up vibe.
we don't really know who is gonna have cbs when but i'm pretty sure all three units will have comebacks soon, everyone is waiting for dream's full album so i'm guessing this could be up soon. if sm is smart anyway lol
Love your reactions :) The one you felt you have never seen before (rapper) is Jeno and that was Haechan's vocals near the end that you liked. Have you ever checked out ASTRO? They have some great music. They did start off with a cute concept (still fantastic) but have evolved into a mature sound. Blue Flame is a great song to start with if you are interested :D
I understand if we young remind you of txt's. I think its because their concept creator is the same person(?). She was in SM for years and make great concept gor sm artists.. i assumed we young is the last of her works. then she quit and move to bighit. Thats why....
the rappers in go are jaemin and jeno, u prolly cant recognize jaemin anymore cuz he stops smiling like a baby starting go and becomes this hot guy that's every girl's crush now
sm only started putting subs very late, i don't remember when exactly but i think early 2019? or maybe at the end of 2018? either way they were really late to the game with that and sadly didn't go back and add subs to their older videos
