5 lbs of sticky rice, soak 2-3 hours and strain 2 cups of sugar (can adjust to your level of sweetness) fruit in syrup (I like red mung beans!) 19 fl. oz coconut cream shredded coconut 1 tsp salt sliced bananas Boil approximately 1-2 cups of water in a pan (this is me guessing on the water). Boil with coconut cream and salt. Add sugar and stir. Add rice and stir until most of the liquid has evaporated. Make sure rice is not too mushy or too hard. Add red mung beans (or other fruit). Add shredded coconut and stir. Wrap in banana leaves (or tin foil or corn husks) with sliced bananas. Steam for 40 mins to 1 hour. Enjoy! :) UPDATE: I think I read in the comments that it was one cup of water that was boiled in the pan. However, I tried that and my rice was not as "soupy." I bought an extra can of coconut cream/milk, which I added so it turned out fine. I would go with 2-3 cups of water for the right consistency next time.

Omg! Your conversation with your son is super cute!!! He’s such a handsome baby, and so loving. I love it when you ask if he loves you he said “Hlub os”. I want my son to tell me that too.
Looks very good!!! I will use this recipe in two weeks for a funeral, thanks for the great recipes. I really enjoy the way you cook especially the measurements not a lot of Asian recipe comes with time or measurements only eyes
Sister, how did you prep your banana leaves? Is there an extra step to take for the banana leaves besides washing and wiping? Mines are always kind of stiff but yours don’t look stiff
Sister, How long should you steam the frozen one so that it will not be too sticky or overcook? I plan to do this for a party but have no time the morning of the party to make everything all together. Was thinking of making them the day before and put them in the freezer so the day of the party I could just steam it again. Do you think that would be a good idea?
