This institute has existed since 2003 by an act of parliament. To be a full-fledged university, it must undergo an apprenticeship for 10 years under Ghana's 3 top universities. It is about to become a full-fledged university so the parliamentary select committee for local government used DSTRICT ASSEMBLY COMMON FUND to expand its existing infrastructure to turn it into a FULL-FLEDGE UNIVERSITY. This expansion is being undertaken by the PARLIAMENTARY SELECT COMMITTEE FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT. AKUFFO ADDO nor the NPP has anything to do with this................
His excellency has done it all. Schools, Roads, Rail, Airports, Hospitals, Interchanges, Astro Turfs, 6New Regions etc. Ghanaians are deliberately refusing to acknowledge the facts or they are simply blind.
Good job Nana Addo and Dr. Bawummia. Only fools believe that NPP under Akuffo Addo's Administration has done nothing for the nation. Good many of Ghanaians would praise Nana Addo if he would tell every Ghanaian to go and line up for free money every day. If he could do that, he would be branded as the best president because Ghanaians love free money. But there is a saying in America that " There is no free lunch anywhere". Well done Nana Addo.

All these infrastructural projects are laudable, but our bane is maintenance. After commissioning these projects, there should be a very strict routine for ensuring regular maintenance, or else we'll come back to the same situation. Then the waste syndrome continues.
My brother please stop making noise about digitization, are you not ashamed over 6o years independence still taking about digitization? Education ...roads... hospitals are basic things that all the leaders put in effort. Let talk about developments over 60 years independence all our cities are still looking like villages, look at ur capital city Accra? You can't even compare to just one city in south Africa. You are living in the country that if you walk hundred meters you have to polish ur shoe, and you have to wash ur car everyday. PNDC/NDC is not 16 Years!! If During the PNDC/NDC era there had been this same volume of development, do you not think Ghana would have advanced further!! Nkrumah moved Ghana forward but during PNDC/NDC era they sold most of the factories and companies Nkrumah chalked for Ghana which had created jobs and brought in foreign exchange from exports. Between Kufour and Nana Addo's governance- Major transformational policies such as NHIS, LEAP, School Feeding program, Ghana card implementation etc has moved the Nation forward. Ghana After experiencing Free SHS, several interchange constructions, Road and Hospital Infrastructures etc Ghanaians will no longer put up with any government who doesn't perform. It will not be business as usual for any government going forward.
Ndc has ruled Ghana over 30 years but because of none of them has sense empty headed,which head of ndc can provide digitalization?.ndc is Ghana problems 67 years of Ghana independence ndc has ruled half of it but no development,because of Ghana we're fools so we vote any fool to be come a president,we have to vote for those who have head to come up with something people like npp,if npp stays in power many years as ndc Ghana will be far develop,
Ashanti region is not just limited to Kumasi that’s what we all should understand. I think Ashanti region in general is nit lagging behind at all when it comes to development my only concern is that these projects shouldn’t be abandoned midway down the road. We are all Ghanaians and we shouldn’t forget that other regions also need to be developed too.!
