I think the fireworks didn't work well tonight. There were long intervals without the fireworks as compared to the rehearsals. On TV, they inserted scenes from rehearsals to make up for the missing fireworks

Exactly. I was at the Fullerton area and the fireworks were just SPORADIC, pathetically sporadic. This 4G gov really CMI. Even fireworks also mediocre standard. All the onlookers were like "huh? No more? ZZzz...."

It was a total failure given they practice so many times before NDP, but yea no a single media outlet reports on that, not a single thread on social media about it.

Agreed, I went to see most of the rehearsal fireworks, compared to the actual ndp, I must say the rehearsal fireworks was way better than the actual day.

Love this year NDP very much ❤! So musical, all songs are beautiful and many thanks to all the performers that put in all their efforts & heart! Super love this year theme song, so touching ! Although I could not get a ticket to attend, I feel the warm, joy and happiness from everyone and the performers. Happy National Day, Singapore. I am so proud of my country and always be proud to be a Singaporean ! 🎉🎉😊

The live audience actually cannot see the fireworks in full at all. They have changed the parade venue so many times over the decades but there was never a perfect venue to this date. Space constraint have always been Singapore biggest flaw and limitation.

The venue that NDP is always held at is currently undergoing redevelopment. When completed it will house permanent stage and grandstand for large-scale annual events that can accommodate more people.

The government has given the best viewing spots to all the best hotels,condos and office towers already. This is a fact. You can have a good stadium but you will never have the best panoramic view of everything by now. It's too late already by this late development stage.

Man..These fireworks aren't even good. They're terrible? Just google any video of japan's fireworks festivals. Heck even random malaysia kampung ppl set off better fireworks during cny
