The disrespect that urban radio has done to r&b is terrible.. Idk why these programmers think r&b is so evil and scared that everyone will turn off the radio is r&b is played.. Not every song needs to be lit / club music

Oh nah man, I think RED, YOTG, and Because Of You was his best albums. In My Own Words was a good first album but he’s gotten better with each album. To each is own though, I agree his catalog is solid and underrated

Just based on some of the comments I read, I'm convinced that a lot of you forgot or just didn't know Ne-Yo is also a songwriter. He didn't just up and disappear and lost his love for music. He's written songs for multiple people for years...that's all lol.

Adrian JSon -Even in the music video they show an old school landline phone that would have an answering machine on it. lol the video was uploaded on RU-vid back in 2009 but the song actually was recorded and made in 2006. People don’t even use voice mail anymore but he did mean answering machine because you could leave a little message at the beginning before someone left you a “VoiceMail”.

Authentic R&B is dead right now (on the charts) but glad someone like Ella Mai with a clean R&B song is at the top of the charts right now. Which hasn't been done since a long long time ago.

Glad to see Ne-Yo back with some new heat and the album’s dope content wise from what I’ve heard. The problem with R&B from the last few years and currently is that it’s no love or soul in it as much anymore and majority of the people out now aren’t really sangin’ anymore either, yeah I said “sangin” lol; like it’s not believable to me.
