Journey, Steve Miller Band, and Tower of Power just hit the road on a huge summer tour and we got Journey guitarist Neal Schon to dish about how he discovered the band's current lead singer Arnel Pineda.

And arnel got me because of his energetic stage present like you have to follow him around the stage rolling your eyeballs captured of how much this Arnel could jump around while still singing like Bryan Adams like Steve, like Michael like who ever he wants but still so good. YES !! Finding Arnel is the real deal !! Look at that? Journey ( Schon ) recruited Arnel in December 2007---and in 2 months' time--(see below..) Pineda debuted as the lead singer of Journey on February 21, 2008, at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival held at the Quinta Vergara Amphitheater in Viña del Mar, Chile. ***FAST FORWARD now that it is Feb 2022--- it is AP's 15th year as Journey's frontman !!!WOW ! ****** And bashers out there still looking for what???? AP has an incredible tenor voice, of course, has to sing Journey song as instructed to keep Journey's legacy, alive, he's exceptionally versatile &talented, the man is humble and full of humility, would not mind stepping aside if SP decides to rejoin !! BUT SP is not rejoining-!!! SP publicly acknowledged AP-- the 2 singers are on good terms ! ( I love SP and AP ) So, let's just enjoy the songs of Journey--life is too short to be bitter and spread hate, move on -- after all, Arnel Pineda is doing a wonderful job !! Try to watch AP at Live Concert-- he's an amazing performer !!!
How can anyone hate Arnel? The first time I heard him sing faithfully I cried. The man makes you want to be a better person. The Philippine people make you want to be a better person. My philipena girlfriend makes me a better person. Love you Philippines 🇵🇭 💖

Maybe they can find another guitar player. However, he is the last original member of Journey, and he is the band's soul. His musical composition made Journey the band we all knew. His riffs and chord choice made their songs more emotional. That sets them apart from other bands. They are good as a dead band if they can't find a replacement for neal. Take note arnel is getting old too.

Neal Schon discovered him but in the end he is also the one who is gonna drive Arnel away from the band with him and his wife's drama and toxic bullshit. Arnel is now ready to quit even made a statement on twitter telling Neal to fire him anytime he doesn't care and once Arnel leaves the band then the band is finished
No, Neal hired Arnel co'z he has a dinstinctive innate singing voice. Professional musicians have good ears in identifying voice timbre. See he did not get the british singer(his first choice) coz his voice was so Steve-alike. He chose Arnel instead.
Arnold was chosen because he has his own voice and it is as good as Steve Perry and Mr Steve Perry loves Arnel and he knows the man sings his heart out every night at every show and he knows what it takes to do it

Very true americans belittle the cover bands don't they know how good the vocalist of cover band. that is much better than original frontman of any band.i will give you an example steven styler of aerosmit his good for singing his own original voice in the band but he can not sing jon von jovy songs in same way jon von jovi is good when he sing his song but he can not sing aersomith spngs but arnel pineda he can sing both aerosmit and von jovi songs almost the same with the way the sing,so stop belittling frontman of cover bands because you dont know how good they and its not easy to adopt or to fit your voice to the original singer that their coverin that is why Neal Schon he couldn't believed what he had seen the 40 clips of Arnel Pineda covering any bands.
Why who don't want money? Who can live with out money? That is his work/job ,of course they need to pay him! Why when steve singing with them, he was not paid??? BTW he's keeping journey alive and rocking! Arnel is the best thing happened to journey, next to Steve!!!
