Spot on Mark, these youngsters could be our Class if 92 equivalent. If only we had the ownership and forward planning to encourage that to happen. These are once in a generation players 2nd only to City across most metrics.

1. Just the mention of an ACADEMY player and rising star Lewis Orford being part of a player exchange deal is SHOCKING on a MAJOR LEVEL. 2. I would REALLY like to know what Mark Noble’s position is on this as SPORTING DIRECTOR and the overseer of this ACADEMY Led / Red Bull project. 3. Isn’t this project part of the REASON the club dismissed David Moyes. 4. The CRUCIAL part of Lopetigui’s CV is his success with the Spanish national squad's U21 team. These rumours have shaken my understanding and belief going forward 💯 Maybe Villa (like many other clubs) can sense our weakness and desperation, as when it comes to negotiation, we seem to be at the bottom of the class. I was hoping that all of this would've changed after we employed Super Tim?

MARK you say its a running theme of losing prokising youth players, cant think of one we've lost at youth level thats gone on to do anything in the game since Ray Houghton which was probably before you or i was born. Can you name some of the players weve lost that we would regret?

Hi mark when you say we have done well so far this window I reckon that is putting a very positive spin on things. We have bought a young very raw player who may do well, we have brought in a 33 year old goalkeeper and we have vastly overpaid for a functional centre half. We still have no striker, left winger or right back!

Hopefully the Lopetigui era will bring about cherishing our academy players better. Better pathway to the first team and pressure from him via Noble/Steidten to improve contracts for the players we see as having potential.

Orford is good at a certain level but is he good enough? West Ham don’t think so! All the young players that left West Ham haven’t TURNED into stars. This rant is ridiculous, Ben Johnson won the lottery going to Ipswich and hopefully he’ll play v West Ham, we’ll take advantage of him for sure
