When I first moved to Hawaii, I went swimming my 2nd day there. I was in chest-high water but very close to shore as there was a drop-off. I kept seeing this long black shadow in the waves about 10ft in front of me. I ignored it at first but then saw the top fin and realized it was a shark. Now I hardly ever go into the ocean in Hawaii unless it's the shallow tourist beaches

That boysenberry ice cream looks delicious! Fun fact - the boysenberry was developed over a century by a man with the last name of Boysen, not far from where I live in Anaheim, CA which is near Los Angeles. You might know it as the home of Disneyland. Anyway his plants were dying so his friend Walter Knott took his plants and revived them and started planting them on his farm. Every boysenberry in the world today can be traced to these original boysenberries. When the Great Depression hit, Walter Knott’s wife started selling fried chicken and boysenberry pie from a small restaurant they built on the farm near their home. It became so popular Walter Knott started building rides to entertain their guests while they waited to be seated. Eventually the farm turned into an amusement park. You can still get fried chicken and boysenberry pie there to this day.

That is a Beautiful Beach, We have Beaches here in Florida that are Similar, wide Beach to the Water and We even have some Beaches with Shade Trees.

I couldn't find Matarangi in my World Atlas, but I was able to find Whitanga. Probably the closest I got was Auckland back in '87. After that would be Rotorua, where I attended my first and only hangi, which is similar to a luau, but different at the same time. Both were wonderful experiences. I also got down to Queenstown, Te Anau (southernmost place I've been), Milford Sound, and over to Dunedin. You've said many times how beautiful the US is, but I can throw it back to you when it concerns New Zealand. In closing, happy birthday. I won't say how old I am, but I have 21 years on you. : ))

I know this is an older video but I've been trying to check out some of the videos from before I started watching. Last time I was at Crystal Beach Texas I had a juvenile blacktip shark bump my leg. The guy next to us caught a one. Needless to say swimming was over for us but others stayed in thankfully no one was attacked.

The Water NZ is So Clear, Similar to the Bahamas. The water on the West Coast of Florida near the outlet of the Tampa Bay going into the Gulf isn't as Clear, but Nice. Mid 80°F or 26.5° C in the Summer. 60°F or 15.5C in the Fall too Spring.

As this is a family video I'll watch my mouth... That beach at 6:00 is absolutely amazing and definitely not the kind of thing we have in Canada (your Canada video is how I heard of your lovely family and it is a lovely family). Edit was due to me always hitting the i when I mean to hit the o.
