A long-defunct PYL fan page said that Savage Steve Holland did all the animations on a very early computer animator (which used a laser pen); he was paid $10 a frame for the animations. That said, wow, it is nice to see most of the Whammy animations in the clear! :D Thank you, Buzzr!

One of the highlights of my afternoon as a little boy was the anticipation of which whammies would be used on each day's episode of Press Your Luck.

Not every single animation, but still great to see a good chunk of the original master tapes of the Whammy animations. Nice one, Buzzr!

I like the one where the whammy is taking a picture using an old-timey camera. "I want to get a picture of you losing your money! Say 'cheese'!"

Thank you, Savage Steve Holland, the legendary cartoonist/animator/director/voice actor who created the Whammy. BTW, Executive Producer/Director Bill Caruthers supplied the voice of the Whammy (if I'm not mistaken).

I like that they remade some of these for the new version of this show.

That Lawn Mower Whammy will always be goddamned hilarious.

The Umpire Whammy at 2:19 and the Cruise Ship Whammy at 4:27 are both what I would call "Game Over" animations that play when someone hits four whammies and is thus out of the game.

This isn't _every_ Whammy from Tomarken's version, but it's a dang good collection & made better with no background noise other than the Whammies themselves. Perhaps a Part 2 is coming?... That being said: Dear RU-vid, don't EVER recommend me a Beechcraft Bonanza video in your 'up next' mini-list with a _Press Your Luck_ video playing ever again... Even 13 years later "The Incident" still hurts! 💔

This. Is. INCREDIBLE. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! It’s so cool to see and hear the whammies clean & uncut! Can’t wait for the revival!! And I’ve always been partial to the Jackhammer whammy, for some reason! That & the band w/cymbals! (Though... in all fairness... it’s not *every* Whammy... 😉 Almost, though! Part 2, maybe? 😂)

i have always liked the Michael Jackson whammy. The Umpire whammy was more appropriate when one picked up the fourth whammy.

Surprisingly, the new ABC version of the show is doing the Whammys the same way as this version of the show.
