When Ripley killed the Hybrid child i was actually feeling so bad for it i teared up i couldnt help but think that as a baby it was still an innocent and truly was not an evil creature but a scared oversized baby lashing out at percieved threats dont forget it sided with Ripely against the other Xeno's had it been taught and educated it might have become a monster hunter like Hellboy in the future !
I love the both of you, You know a masterpiece when you see one...... Unfortunately Masterpiece never get the respect it deserves. An yh it's Death was truly heartbreaking, I don't think it's evil at all. I totally agree with what you said, it's very possible that it could of learned to control its rage. Even became a human companion, who knows what it could of learned. It's a shame it never had a chance to Evolve, such an amazing creature. It really made the movie something special, I don't give a fuck what other people say. I think it's the best film in the series's, put that's just my opinion.
@@spartanxdarth201 same, i always wished it couldve been educated and couldve became a human companion, its sad and heartbreaking it died the way it died, man i feel so bad for the oversized baby 😥
NECA really needs to do homages/reimaginings of each of the faction units from the Aliens Vs Predator Extinction video game (2003). I feel there’s a lot of potential there
The NECA Alien Resurrection Newborn figure looks pretty good. It's definitely a unique piece. My favorite part about it is the head, which has been sculpted quite nicely. I like the wet appearance that's been given to the skin. However, it's unfortunate that the figure doesn't stand by itself. Head articulation could've been improved, which would've hid the visible gap. Otherwise, thanks once again for another great video. I really appreciate it!
You are right and correct: the NECA Newborn Alien IS a completely brand-new mould from head to toes and was created specifically for this figure release. I will however disagree about NECA using even parts of the Newborn Alien for a Pumpkinhead figure. NECA would NEVER do that for many reasons: 1) Pumpkinhead is a completely different creature altogether, different arms, different hands, has a tail, different legs and feet and completely different head, face and body from the Newborn Alien. Yes, the creatures might be similar in appearance or look, but they really are different. And NECA prides themselves in getting down to the nitty-gritty of a creature's accurate sculpting design from a film. 2) Pumpkinhead deserves its own figure and not a rehash from any other creature. Once and if NECA decides to get the license for Pumpkinhead, you'll see what I mean when I say they'll do a full on new sculpt for it.
My biggest complaint with this toy is its eyes aren't the shiny, beady eyes that were very creepy in the movie. These eyes look more evil than unsettling/disturbing.
Love this video. Love the figure and love NECA even more for having the balls to give us The Ultimate Newborn Action Figure ever made. NECA really went all out into making this figure w/the utmost respect to detail in sculpt and to appease the most demanding articulation fans. You gotta give NECA every credit for this amazing release. From concept, to sculpting to articulation. They went all out and hit a homerun. Knocked it out of the park. The figure is a beauty!
The newborn alien figure looks amazing. The wet sheen skin looks cool and the sculpt is really nice. Pretty lame that it can't stand on its own. The ratcheted stand is really nice. The head sculpt definitely mimics a human with sunken eyes and notched nose and amazingly sculpted teeth and inner mouth paint work. The translucent green and cream color works really well and the veins and muscle and skin wrinkles really are well defined. The legs are almost insect like akin to a grasshopper. Posability is obviously limited but understandable. NECA did a great job on this figure. Thanks again Spot!
I really like Alien Resurrection! I'm also among the few who liked AVP,! Fabulous review and I'll be certain to add this one to my collection. Thanks again for all the fantastic previews of these figures, you make this hobby even better!
@@Tricker-the-licker Idk what's with the hate on AVP especially requiem. The acting was meh, but the Alien infestation and the national guard fighting against it felt very reminiscent of Aliens, which I found thrilling. Plus the predator was awesome.
@@Nightmarc369 The only reason AVP: Requiem shouldn't be erased from existence is because of Wolf (who's mine and many other's favorite Predator). It's an absolutely atrocious movie. You can't even see anything that's going on and the filmography is trash-tier. The characters are all horrible and annoying. The story's pacing is horrible. And it's all shock value. I'll NEVER forgive the director for having pregnant women used as spawning points by the Predalien. It's absolutely f***ing despicable and it pisses me the f*** off every single time I think about it. AVP though is good.
I really liked alien resurrection, especially the set design. It also featured my favorite alien design with the smooth dome and brown skin color. Neca made a figure of that as well which was a good figure, and this thing is just as creepy looking as I remember
What? If you're going to spill 40 bucks on something like this then why wouldn't you want to know the dimensions? And he wouldn't be much of a product reviewer if he didn't include that information? Some people, pfff

I notice a pattern for alien films alien is a horror thriller and aliens is a action film and then alien 3 a horror thriller and alien resurrection a action movie
As cool as this figure is, the Newborn scarred me as a child and I'll always despise it for how much of a horrible abomination it is. It's so disturbing. It's hard for me to even watch this review.
Yes, but mostly for physiological reasons as part of the hybridization of the creature. The "super-vulva" has a different & more Xenomorphic reproductive reason to be there: inside of the bulbous tummy hides a proboscis that comes out to insert an embryo in the throat of a victim/host. That's the original purpose of the design but the producers & studios decided against showing in because it would've been too graphic & sexual for audiences. So they just kept the design but never showed its function. That's why this creature's design confuses many fans who don't understand why it looks like it does.
@@multiverseoftimelessness4391 thanks for explaining that! I thought it couldn't be coincidence lol. I appreciate that you answered the question. I was honestly asking in good faith :)
Austin Powers denying the family origin of the Alien Baby. " it's not mine....Vanessa it's not my baby I'm telling you I never Shagged Ripply." It kind of looks a little bit like the Ghost Rider. more demon like without the fire around it. also like Gremlins and Mogwi that's why I want Warner Brothers to bring merchandise back.
They could have easily recessed the head a little further no problem, would limit movement, however wouldn't restrict it enough that all realistic head poses wouldn't be possible.
I've had it for awhile. I've got all of them in this series. Canada is really far behind on neca figures. We already have the kenner bull alien hitting shelves.
The gap ruins it for me. I wish they'd used something flexible for the head surface so it could have the articulation but still move. If this gap is the only option I think i'd prefer the head was fixed in place.
A vulva-like opening that contains a proboscis that implants embryos in its hosts esophagus. That was what it was supposed to do but the film couldn't show the purpose of the abdomen/crevice cause it was considered "too graphic, too risqué for general audiences" even in a rated R 1997 gory film.
I always thought the creature was horrendously stupid looking in the movie, though I must give NECA props for giving you a damn accurate looking figure. Ain't their fault the design for the thing was as goofily dumb as it turned out. Bizarre to me someone as visually brilliant as Junet eagerly encouraged them to construct this damned silly monstrosity.
Because of the weird animal like shape of the legs it's very hard to balance. Other aliens have those similar legs too but they have a tail that can be used as a 3rd leg.
Great video, can’t understand why they haven’t done Cronenberg’s The Fly and Chris Walas’s The Fly2, both creatures are legendary crafted by Chris Walas and his crew (no CG) I have the McFarlane “The Fly” but he never did “The Fly2” which was actually the cooler looking of the two.🖖
Cause the Newborn is made by NECA toys, they don't have the licence for The Fly 1 & 2, McFarlane Toys has that license. NECA has the entire Alien Franchise License.
I'm a huge Alien fan (since 1979) and I do enjoy watching Resurrection from time to time, but this figure is a pass for me. I just don't like this thing! Ew!
Alien3 is the worst and most disappointing one imo. I absolutely despised it when it first came out. I still have a hard time watching that disappointing, depressing bore of a chapter. I ONLY accept it cause it's canon and cause it Sigourney is in it. Also the special fx are so bad w/the rod puppet green screen. 😏
@@multiverseoftimelessness4391 Alien 3 is a depressing mess but it fits more with the first 2 movies than Resurrection did. As dark and depressing as 3 is I feel 4 is just too goofy sometimes. I can't take it very seriously especially with the scene where the general gets bit in the head and just casually picks up little bits of brains and stares at it. I still enjoy the movie because I know it doesn't take itself seriously and I can get over that because the characters are good. The problems with the Alien sequels often start by the fact that each movie was made with no regards for the next possible sequel. It was never one big story cut into multiple movies. For Aliens they had to use the excuse of losing Ripley in space for 60 years to justify the new base and all the aliens. For 3 they magically had eggs appear on the ship and killed characters off screen. For 4 they had to resurrect Ripley. Those forced settings greatly limit the direction they could take to keep continuity.
Ilhan Tele yup! The figure looks accurate, but The movie is horrid. This newborn is easily the worst creation in any Alien related film. After I saw this at the theater I wanted my money back.
