Definitely not just yours. These are beautifully detailed figures but neca sacrificed joints to give a highly accurate figure. You definitely will want to purchase a stand for these guys. I’ve had 5 of them including the sdcc ones and each one was plagued with floppy limbs or stuck necks. That said they are in the top 3 designed aliens neca has done in my opinion. Absolutely stunning to look at.
That’s how the Alien from the movie Resurrection had always looked like. AVP Aliens took the look of those Alien from Resurrection, but changing the legs.
@@larryweatherspoon2531no, to call the drone it would have to have a completely different build. Just because it has the domed head doesn’t make it to drone
I got this figure a few days ago and it is very highly detailed. I got it for $26 at Target which was a great deal. I’m thinking about getting the Alien Isolation xenomorph next.
ME TOO! just got mine unfortunately mine is also having leg problems and I am very concerned I do not want it to break and be a waste of money , Any Vidoes that can help me?
I have this NECA. The right leg (the left when you look at it from the front) has a weak joint at the knee and causes it to lean over in certain positions, but other than that it's a great figure. It's the first NECA in my collection, and I'm definitely planning on getting more NECA Alien stuff!
To start, I love your videos. I've grown up watching your channel. In regards to the problem with the leg, try heating it up and removing the pin. then reinsert the pin and make sure both sides are in the holes on either side of the leg. Also, it appears that the right leg on your figure is also a left leg, which only makes it more confusing as to what the problem is. I hope this helps. Keep up the great work!
I actually have the rhino alien and the original alien suit, along with the movie poster version of the predator, you know the one that has the thermal vision appearance like how the predators in all the movies have, I think with some exceptions, when they use their mask to see the heat coming from the humans when their hunting their targets
This one's a must have to me even though I have several ultimate warriors. Neca is better in so many ways than any other company out there. There is absolutely nothing I think any company could do to do a better incarnation of a great monster based on HR Giger's fanfuckingtastic design work. Work he somehow mysteriously pulled out of mankind's deepest, darkest nightmares. Somehow crossing the barrier of something that might have existed during the earth's prehistoric emanation, and something that might exist due to man's lack of foresight in the world of terrifying technology. Great review. Keep up the good work.
Giger didnt have to dig too deep ...he was into hallucinogens. I spent time with him in his apartment in NY . The WHOLE time he was either on LSD or mushrooms.
To bad about the left leg but the figure looks good. I love the dark to translucent head dome it's a really cool looking design. By the way, wow!!! 3 reviews in one day you're spoiling us.
I have a problem with a neca alien warrior but from Aliens too, some figures come with problems in the legs. They need to check that maybe is the tight package.
The loose knee can be easily fixed. The issue is the knee peg isn’t pushed all the way thru. Heat it up then PUSH that peg right thru. Then squeeze the knee together while it’s still warm. Then pop in the freezer to harden the plastic again 😂
@@HR-yd5ib Hairy dryer or some boiled water. For something like this, I would do the boiled water. Just microwave a cup of water, then dip the knee into the water (if it won't fit in the cup, pour it in a bowl, whatever works), just keep it in the water for say, 30 seconds or so. It should make the plastic extremely rubbery, allowing one to squeeze the joint back together or push the pin through, etc. You can then douse the spot in some ice cold water to get the plastic to stiffen back up. Otherwise just leave it alone and it'll cool down and be back to normal.
Just got this figure a few days ago and the left leg was strongly bent to the exterior (I guess there wasn't much communication between the box and figure designers or one of the teams was bunking the weekely Monday meetings). I've tried to straighten it by hand and it snapped without much effort. Luckly, I was able to send it back and got a full refund and purchased another figure (from a different vendor) with exactly the same left leg issue. This time I've placed the left leg in hot water and fixed the issue easily. Same problem as yours with some stiff limbs and the inner jaw. P.S. I think the back tubes are called "bio ports" or so I've heard. Keep up the good work!
I can't choose between this one and the Ultimate blue Neca one. I prefer this sculpt with the dome head, especially since it is somewhat transparent, but does not show the skull, I hate transparent Alien's heads that show skull. But on the other hand I would have prefered a black / blueish tone, I'm not a big fan of that brown, eventhough it is faithfull to the Resurrection version. This one is also cheaper.
@@TheKING1579 Well I ordered the AVP Alien Warrior Serie 7 (black) instead, this is the same sculpt but in black, perfect for me. However there are many fake chinese bootlegs, the seller assured me his wasn't, hope it's true !
I ordered the two prior versions of this alien from the DC two packs (the purple one that came with Superman and the Joker Alien). While they're technically not the same release, they still share the same mold, and I have not had that problem with the leg joints on either. It doesn't seem like a universal issue.
I use the tail to support the weight of both my xenos. Of the two ridged head Xenomorphs, which one do you prefer, aliens or avpr? Would would be your favourite xenomorph design be overall (queen not costed)?
I know the feeling Spot! I had to basically push his toe joints in because mine and both of its toe joints not fully connected it took me an hour with hairdryer to basically force them in and boy my fingers were sore afterwards too. >:C I luv NECA I really do but my god they have alot of QC issues lately! Is it their factory in China or what?!
i am getting my 1st neca alien ( the classic design with bald aerodynamic head). which version with best built quality that u will recommend? thanks for the amazing & extensive review!!
This figure is the same mold that the NYCC Joker Alien and the Superman vs Alien figures used. In my opinion. The (Resurrection) mold and color that was used for the Alien vs Superman is waaay better than this brown one.
I don't know, that warrior sculpt looks absolutely awful to me. Neca is always great with the screen accuracy, but this one looks so off to me. The resurrection aliens always looked like the most streamlined and sleek evolution of the design to me. Not that I think it's the best design, but they always looked sleek and elegant. But this looks clunky af. I hate the way the dome awkwardly ends in a straight seem right above the mouth, when I feel like the smooth gradient from fleshy lips to the aerodynamic hard dome is one of the defining features of this specific alien. And they kinda blow it here. I also don't really like that exaggerated upper lip snarl. The overall dome shape also seems pretty awkward to me, too squarish and bulky. Idunno, this one's a pass from me.
it can be an unpopular opinion...but for me THIS thing looks alot betet than some of the ultimate alien xenomorphs from neca..man...just look at THAT FUCKIN TAIL...great review bro :D
Mine came out of the package with a very bent leg and loose joints on both legs. All my NECA Alien figures have had problems with the legs out of the box. It does look great tho.
I always had this burning question when I saw Alien Resurrection and AVP, did the producer use the same Alien warrior from Resurrection to AVP? They both look alike.
The reason why the Alien Resurrection alien looked much more different than the typical xenos was because of the splicing in their DNA with Ellen Ripley's, just a hunch. And I'm guessing the reason why they look similar to the ones in AVP was most likely to reduce budget costs for film making if the originals were near impossible to obtain or thought that this design was cooler, which I didn't think so.
@@Bionic8J I'd chuck it up to them probably preferring the more slicker design of the resurrection design as it's more practical. But story wise it could probably be the predators manipulating the xenomorph to better suit the hunt
The figure is okay; but the torso isn't really like what the actual Resurrection xenomorph torso is supposed to be like. They just used the AVP alien body. I hate that honestly.
Does anyone know what happened to Nicholas Hostetter's channel!? He was covering figures, mostly Alien stuff for many years and the channel suddenly "isn't available".
@@TheReviewSpot I apologize. But how and who could I ask, if not people with the same interests? I was wondering if there were people knowing about it. I didn't mean to disregard this channel's work.
@@TheReviewSpot Ok, thanks. Well, I followed his videos for some time and I just can't find his content anymore. Maybe he deleted his channel, who knows.
I got this and less than a day afterwards the 3rd leg section broke off and most of the joints were super stiff and its tongue cant come out because it is obstructed by the teeth
That's disappointing! My original dog alien came crazy loose out of the package and he's so hard to pose. Particularly his head is so loose it just droops down. He looks so good otherwise! Thankfully my other Neca aliens have been fine. Well, mostly...the ultimate Aliens fig has somewhat floppy knees.
That might have been caused by the way it sat in the package I've had some like that and others just fine. I actually just got this figure from my wife.
@@sociallyresponsiblexenomor7608 I thought it came from their genitals?? Do they even have genitals?? Do they have a butthole cos they sure eat a lot when they get the chance!
