@@pazuzu-gb7ok Of Corse, everyone loves Kane Hodder, and his Jason did look awesome, but I prefer Jason to look simplistic and hide the zombie elements of his look, but you can tell there there, that's how like my Jason (Kane's still the best Jason actor tho)
Man this figure is great, just ordered it. Think about this :Jason lived in the woods he did not cut his hair or there was no barber who wants to cut it,, so the hair thing it is realistic.
Although I could not stand the NPC’s in this movie I thought this was the most terrifying Jason out of all of them. I was hoping the figure would do him justice. That guy got the postal egg salad that was mentioned in your live stream. How you psychically tie all these together is amazing. I did not know of the initial release and I am glad I didn’t because the Ultimate colors are amazing and the articulation…wow. The original looks like it was done using concept art. The hair is so different and I am not clear how movie accurate it is. The screwdriver is a really nice touch. I already own the Freddy vs Jason NECA and would get rid of it for this one but luckily I wont have to because I can get both. The mask IMO is movie accurate because when he finds it, it is in almost pristine condition. On the hair front why would he cut his hair? I mean who would cut Jason’s hair? I mean the townsfolk seem pretty much accepting of having a known serial killer living amongst them but I dont think he would have the vanity to walk into a barber shop. Which Jason do you consider the best Jason? I want a Kane Hodder but I cant get past how great this Jason is. When I got to the end of the video I was happy to hear you agreed with me about the remake.
@@mrmesserjr The Ultimate line uses the old molds, but adds more articulation. Just like Remake in this video, the old one did not have knee joints, but the new one does.
Tbh it’s my favorite Jason, only things I would change about it is the hair and the size of the machete (I feel like it’s more of a sword if anything lol) other than that I love it! And the sack head looks so good.
Looks great, with nice updates. Very happy to get mine soon. And I'm thankful NECA has rereleased it. My teeniest gripe is that I wish one or two of the weapons had some blood on it. Otherwise fantastic! Thanks, Spot, for the review!
I’m just thrilled that this figure got love from the ultimate line. Derek Meats is the nicest guy and instantly turned into my favorite Jason actor. Check him out in swamp thing on dc right now too! It’s a shame it was canceled before it got going. It’s an incredible show.
Great review! I'm a fan of NECA sculpts, what keeps me from getting more are the QC issues. I do not have many but is not an exaggeration that 50% of the NECA figures we have have some kind. Mostly bad joints.
Ive only noticed the joints on their more statue type action figures all the ultimates that ive bought i havent had an issue but i also apply heat to all my new figures
I just received this figure and I agree for the most part that it is a good upgrade from the original Neca release. However, I also have the original Neca 1/4 scale version and although the legs do not move on that one as well the paint job is great. Much better than the original 7 inch version. Granted it’s not fair to compare the two because of the size difference. I still prefer Neca’s original 1/4 scales over their highly articulated 1/4 scales because the old ones actually stand without needing a 1/4 scale metal doll stand. So in that respect the semi posable statue for the large scale figures is still better. I’m old school I feel tons of articulation is overrated. I mean unless you constantly re pose your figures regularly or do stop motion photography it’s really not that needed. Those extra joints can cause quality and stability issues for displaying. Just my experience
I heard a rumor that NECA lost the license for Freddy and they wont be making any new Freddy figures in the near future. I hope its just a rumor because I really was hoping for an ultimate Freddy from Freddy vs Jason

I don't want to jump the shark here but I think it could also have something to do with TOTS aquiring the rights to make Freddy masks and the shitty gloves they are having a scam artist make. Again it could have nothing to do with it but I was really hoping for an ultimate vs Freddy
I love this figure though I am a bit pissed that I bought it on amazon (very few stores in my area reliably carry these figures) for $40 and then recently found it at target for $27. now with the roy burns figure coming out soon (you can actually preorder it from gamestop) they just need to do ultimates for parts 7, 8, 9, and X.
i ordered mine today tnx for review :) i found jason with hair more creepy somehow and it's different compared to other neca jason figures they are all bald and the same...head without mask reminds me on hills have eyes movie :P...nice figure now i need diorama too.

Grosvner Mcaffrey That's incorrect, though. Harry Manfredini, the composer of the series, has maintained that it's always been "Ki Ki Ki Ma Ma Ma" (which is meant to represent Jason telling Mrs. Voorhees to "Kill, Mommy") and he doesn't know where people are getting "Ch Ch Ch Ha Ha Ha" from. Seems like people heard it wrong, and the mispronunciation stuck. Kind of like how people constantly misquote famous movie lines.
The machete for this Jason figure that I have snapped in half trying to put the machete in his pocket holder or what ever it’s called. That’s just perfect 😂😂😂😂
One of my favorite Jason portrayals was Derek Mears, but it's also my least favorite look because of the amount of hair he had. I like Jason to look more bald. Part 3 was the best look.
Little late to the party but I just started collecting the ultimate Jason figures recently. Got all but 2 figures as of today. Remake Jason got delivered today and he looks awesome.

I do wish NECA would give us figures from other franchises instead of the never ending parade of Jason and Freddy (and also the new Pennywise) figures. I know we’re getting Sam from Trick r’ Treat but I’d love Leatherface from Texas 2 and 3 and the Tall Man from Phantasm. Just something new and different.
salty dogg That Candyman is a retro cloth figure, though. It won't be a 7 inch Ultimate figure like the rest of these are. If you like the retro cloth figure line, that's good news. But if you don't collect those, then it's kind of disappointing.
wow amazing figure great remake neca jason figure comparison yeah i think the ultimate jason figure is better but i prefer the lighter shirt on the orginal jason figure than the darker shirt on the ultimate jason figure i prefer the orginal sack mask than the new sack mask but i prefer the ultimate jason hockey masked head and the ultimate jason unmasked head but i dont like that the ultimate jason s long balding hair is blond itshould be a dark brown or black anyway i think its best to have both the original & Ultimate neca remake jason figures
Awesome review as always, but seriously egg salad? Ugh BARF. I agree with the measuring part of the video but you need a new caterer. Seriously though NECA has made some amazing figures over the last 5+ years. Spot actually showed me just how great NECA is. The Ultimate Friday the 13th III and Nightmare on Elm St. III figures were reviewed and I amazed. I ordered both and they have become my favorites. Besides the figures looking Dead-on to the movie counterparts the accessories they included were awesome. I have 100% faith in NECA when it comes to their Freddy and Jason figures. NECA is the TOP horror figure company there is..PERIOD. Although early NECA did not have full articulation in the legs as you showed. That did bother me. Kind of forgot about that. Another reason to watch the entire video before commenting.
