I’ll do it at some point. Both necalli and casanova are the same company/makers but Necalli is improved quality IMO.

Yes, that Casanova Sports brand is a knockoff by the Pro Boxing frauds. There’s a lawsuit against them for that.

@@expertboxing thanks for the info. I just found an article on the Pro Boxing thing and apparently they were being sneaky with the trademark. So even though they currently hold the trademark in the US, the "Casanova Sports" gloves are a fake.

Glad you like them. Yeah, New Sporting are definitely WAYYYYYYY better than Sabas. Sabas is Pakistan-made to me, doesn't feel Mexican at all whatsoever.

Necalli and Gil are 2 entirely different brands. Gil is definitely stiffer.

James I that’s pretty common for Mexican made gloves. I have a pair of the Everlast MX like and it’s the same way. The end of the finger compartment is not lined. they broke in fairly quickly after a few rounds on the bag.

I think Gil would be better. Necalli is really nice too. TopBoxer would be 3rd and I say that by feel. I haven’t punished my TopBoxer gloves enough to really know.

Yes

Necalli has the edge in my eyes but both are really good. It's just that I don't think you can spar with GIL.

Both are good. Necalli has more weight. Rival feels more modern and comfortable.

They're generally all-purpose gloves. The padding is right in the middle for both.

i would just go with their hybrid, i’m sure they’re fine but i haven’t used personally. i always go pure laces

expertboxing I’m asking because I’m about to order 24 oz custom boxing gloves from Necalli(Casanova). I wanna make sure that they’ll be accurate with my order and never bought from there brand before.

Mexican gloves are usually good for big hands. Some do fit tighter nowadays though but the space is there, it's just the padding that's tight.

hmmm...that's weird to hear, the glove keeps sliding off your hands you mean?

@@expertboxing for example, I put the glove on and I put extra effort to make my fingers reach the very ends of the glove. However, once I start punching for a bit, my fingers slip from their proper grip and I have to adjust them again to get the proper grip (pull the gloves down). They are secure on my wrist just not my fingers. I do have smallish hands fyi

@@expertboxing do you have any in mind other gloves that could best suit me? My hand length is 7-7.3 inches and my hand circumference 7.5 inches as well I've tried twins bgvl3 before and they probably fit the best but sometimes I had stiff fingers because they were a tad maybe too small

I almost never use velcro but I assume it wouldn’t be totally awful.

@@expertboxing actually went with their new special edition cordovan one and ordered some hook and loops apart. Didnt feel right not getting laces on such a classic looking glove haha. Saw them on your IG too and they looked clean! So thanks again lol

Great gloves the New Sporting ones. The leather is the thickest I've seen so far and the wrist support it's great. The only downside is that when I really drop some heavy hits the thumb tends to slip forward and that they are heavier . Mines are 14 oz but 17 on the scale.

this model was from 6 years ago. new ones are better IMO

@@expertboxing tx for the reply, Johnny. So remember when you said Reyes has started to mass produce (compared to other Mexican brands) and it affects their quality control? I got a slighty defective pair, so when I put my hands in it, my fingertips stopped slightly shorter than they should've been. My sister bought a pair and she too felt the difference. So I sold them and def not worth $179. The quality control itself or lack thereof was such a major disappointment.

@@expertboxing oh in addition, I used my sister's for about... 10 rounds-ish? Still hated them. The shape of the thumb, the hand compartment, I hate them all. Never again. I reallly hope Necalli will come through!

22 ounces?? That's a big difference.

I don't think the edge is treated with synthetic leather, it's more like a typical crappy Mexican way of painting the gloves. They paint the leather after it's processed rather than dying it during the process. I think this is because they like to sell in many different colors/customizations and don't deal so much in mass quantity. My gloves definitely do not feel like 22oz. They feel more on the lighter side, that's for sure.

Probably if you don't go hard. They aren't the softest but they aren't the hardest, either.

@@expertboxing one more question, do you think 20oz from Casanova gloves would have a larger compartment? Or same compartment but, more padding in the knuckle area? Because 16 oz looks already very big. Do you recommend the 20 oz of course not for sparring but, only to hit the the heavy bag?
