It’s really good from chapter 8 to 25, I think it got slightly ruined when open world was forced onto the story and then the chapters were changed to other words systems making it confusing, but the experience I’ve had in those chapters (8-25) I won’t get in any AAA game.
QTE in this game isn’t a QuickTime event. It’s just called qte for some reason by the game and it’s basically a fancy way of switching in and out characters. i.e based on certain battle conditions or certain inputs you can trigger this “qte” for an off field unit and they will do some extra action and switch in usually
@@adrianmartinez1587 a QTE in any game outside of Honkai impact requires keypad or keyboard inputs to solve a puzzle/problem/mechanic put on you. QTEs in Honkai aren’t like this. If you are a genshin player you’ve experienced it. In the story mode when raiden shogun slays signora, you get to leave tenshukaku slowly as the traveler and a couple times he gets a headache and you had to spam the spacebar. that’s what a QTE is. Not what they call a QTE in Honkai lol
@whoizrez that's the conventional use for that word yes, but by literal definition of "quick time event" is that its uhh an event that is quick in time? My point is honkai's QTEs are optional QTEs that are short duration animations/abilities that last half a second basically. The only difference between it and the old QTEs in other games is that it doesn't take control away from you.
@@whoizrez also QTEs weren't usually to solve a puzzle they were just fillers in game rendered cutscenes to give the illusion that the player is still playing the game through the cutscene

You press what the game tells you to press and in most cases they aren’t optional without punishment with some even making you need to restart from a saved point if you fail it. As you can see by your very own understanding of what a QTE is, HI3’s QTE doesn’t fit the description

QTE is not Quick Time Event on this game. Its more like Quick Time Entry, because whenever you do QTE, you actually switch characters or use character specific mechanic and then switch characters. There is very few characters who stay on the field (like Aponia and HoRB Seele) when you perform QTE. More traditional QTE does exist on Honkai impact 3rd but its exclusive to Susanah.
Honestly, as someone who started to play HI3RD about 2 months ago, i gotta say this game is hard to get into. This is about both, game and story (lore). If you think that you just try it one evening and decide if you get hooked or not - you will not get hooked. This game requires certain amount of effort and motivation to get used to it. However, once you get into most likely it will be worth it. Also, i have to add that this story is like 50% game and 50% manga's. I had a VERY hard time understanding what is going on in the main story unless i decided to read manga's. It really is day and night difference, so much background and lore hidden outside of the game, which explains almost everything. Storytelling here is different to Genshin/Star Rail. Main problem of the game is age. Old chapters are outdated and doesn't provide great experience (however, important lore is from very beginning), however, it gets better and better each chapter. UI is overcomplicated Frankenstein, very difficult for newcomers, also require some time for adaptation. Also, PC port is trash and no English dub either. Hi3RD is definitely not for everyone, but still a decently fun game with amazing story. You just need a bit work for it..

@@ultralink17 Let me explain my position. UI is both, visuals (UI) and structure (UX). You can maintain pretty much the same interface with absolutely different visuals, just by changing design code, but not touching the structure. My biggest complain is that an actual visuals of new HI3rd UI are just copycat from star rail. I'm fine with the structure, just use different skin so this feels like a different game.
Honkai Impact 3rd’s core gameplay will mostly retain it’s style after that big update and it is mainly a fast-paced in-depth combo action game with big emphasis on team synergy (the fighting feels like Devil May Cry). Each characters has varying amounts of depth to their gameplay, some are straightforward, and some are so complex that pressing the wrong button at the wrong time can ruin the team’s rotation (mainly in higher level Abyss). But while the combat has more depth than what you’re used to in Genshin, there isn’t much depth in terms of character build variety other than a few exceptions. Most of the characters are made to only be played in certain ways and some are more flexible than others, at least as of right now. I don’t know who told you about the whole “there’s a lot of QTE in the game” but that’s a terrible way to say it because it leads to misinterpretations since the term QTE in this game refers to the character switching system. Where if certain actions are performed, a character’s switch-in skill will be activated upon being swapped in during that moment. For example, character-A knocks an enemy unit off their feet > conditions for character-B’s switch-in skill is when enemies are knocked down > then right at that moment, switching in character-B will make them do a switch skill instead of just being swapped in place like Genshin. I’ve been a fan of this game ever since I got curious of it’s connections to Genshin and decided to try it out. I personally think It’s got one of the best stories(Part 1) I’ve ever experienced in all the Hoyo games and in general, and I know that because I unfortunately am playing 3 of their latest games. Although it is not without some rough edges here an there in the first few chapters but it does continually improve after each chapters. The game also has mangas that helps expand and establish the world-lore and some are even loved by people who don’t even play the game. The main reason it’s not very popular or mainstream compared the their other games is that the game feels very dated with certain aspects never gotten modernized after so long, which has made it quite hard for new people to stick around or give it a chance in the first place. And that’s why they are doing this big update next year that will modernize the game and hopefully it’ll be much more accessible. I’m super happy that you seem intrigued at the very least, although Part 2 will introduce a new arc and a change to the whole cast for the story, I hope you will get to experience Part 1’s story someday if you will.
QTE =quick team entry if the conditions meets u can swamp characters making other entry with skills or something, no need to press nothing else apart of swamp in the correct moment this game endgame is about to make combos with that basically the combat on part 2 was always implemented is bascially a hi3 dlc called apho 1[wich relase before genshin] and 2 but now they put that combat system on the main story hi3 gameplay was not the best but not bad, its decent with newer characters, but the story is one of the best on any gacha and even better that most AAA --hi3 its a full story focused game, so thats the main content, main story, story events and dlc story, theres other game modes but updates not rlly focused on that --its not open world or whatever, it works for stages... but the devs are adding instanced open worlds everytime and the comunity is mad for that each time so xd --so again, the story is the main focus, its like 200h of intensive reading u can consider it a playable visual novel, thats why the story is so good, its not a self insert, its an actual story of kiana, sadly part2 adds a self insert like aether/stelle, or looks like so i consider it a VN with VA and hq cinematics at the end of each arc, there's also mangas and mini animations on the oficial channel to complement the story. characters are a few cast that got develop thats why they are simple desings as new characters, they were get more battlesuits in the future, unlike centain massive waifu production that never will got develop games but also thats why its not so popular ppl dont like to read new players ran away bc the gameplay with kiana white comet at the beggining, is so slow and bad bc its one of the olderst characters, the story get the true beggining in ch8 so u have to eat 7 ch of "prologue"? if they wanna remake the game i rly hope they remake that part only, its rly a bad first impression for new players you have to dig 8 ch deep to find the gold, so not everyone can do that
Quick time events aren't specific to "interactive cutscenes". That's just what they're most commonly used for, and what most people think of. The QTE in HI3 is still QTE. You have a brief period to react to an on-screen context-sensitive prompt.
No the game don’t stop gameplay and tell u to press a button it’s more like DMC where u have to time your attacks to change the attacks/ combos/ skills instead of button mashing.

idm if he doesnt stream the game, and tbh it isnt a stream-friendly game in the first place, but i do hope he still plays it, but if he does i think that the parts he must stream in their entirety are yk, chapters with cutscenes, the most impactful dialogue scenes, chapters 26 onwards, and ofc every bit of the open world expedition segments and elysian realm if he does stream the entire thing, thats most appreciated ofc
Hopefully part 2 is kinda open world I guess cause I think hoyo will try to make it stream friendly as possible in my opinion. Yeah alot of people play the game off stream because of that issue. You have to focus on the dialogue(honkai mostly dialogue during the story) and chats at the same time
here’s a part 2 explanation for who doesn’t understand what’s happening: Hi3 part 1 concluded, Hi3 part 2 has a new cast on a new Planet which is Mars. Part 1 and 2 are connected so we will eventually see the old cast again. What did the update do? - New Combat. From now on, all units will have aerial combat. Before, only some units had it. They also added joint attacks, previously only available in APHO, a hi3 Open World. (hi3 has small Open Worlds) - New UI/Menu. The menu was redesigned so it’s easier to find what you’re searching for and is more aesthetically pleasing. - New Cast. We have a new Protagonist. Differently from the previous one this is a self-insert and you can switch genders whenever you want. - New Feature. Not confirmed by Hoyo yet but looks like previous events are now permanent & replayable. This might include tons of Minigames like Fall Girls, etc. - New Open World. This is not confirmed yet but they should have probably redesigned the old Open Worlds and APHO 3 should be coming soon after the update. - New Home (?). From the looks of it, the mall might be the new “home”, in other words “the place from where we access the menu, story et cetera”. The previous one was the spaceship bridge. They can’t remove it, so it’s probably still in-game somehow. The update is in February 2024. We still don’t know for sure if the MC is a Self-Insert or can speak, the ability to gender-switch was confirmed. Part 2 takes place 5 years after part 1 while APHO’s Story (A Post-Honkai Odyssey) takes places 8 years after part 1. There are only two Playable males: Adam in APHO and MC in Part 2. If you don’t like that, well, me too but 70% of the hi3 community really dislikes the idea of having playable men and finds it weird, some even get angry when you say it 💀
There's been no evidence that part 1 would be getting the engine update though, since they pretty much confirmed that you can play part 2 without prior knowledge of part 1. New main cast, switchable MC on the fly, new story, new locations, there's perhaps a possibility that part 2 may even run parallel to part 1 in terms of time frame.
I think it would be better for Necrit to play before the engine update to experience the difference between new and old versions also the old version has no jump outside very specific scenarios

Wow, i know i shouldn't be really surprised about it when someone watches HI3 stuff while streaming Genshin...The chat in your stream was so full Honkai haters with so much bullsh...comments and misinformation about a game they actually probably never even really played. But what is new... Just hating it for the sake of hating it, or just because they are not happy and satisfied with their own favorite game and blaming it on HI3 or HSR or whatever. If you REALLY interested in the game, about what is going on in HI3 and whats about to come. You probably shouldn't ask people in a Genshin stream about it. Also, when i read that Honkai players are very defensive, aggressive and gate-keeping when players said the game is crap and bad...i wonder why that is?! Since Genshin came out ...whenever there are bigger news or updates of honkai you always get a lot and i mean A LOT of people complaining: 'That this game it crap and dead, that they should finaly drop it, that it only sucking on Genshin money or that Genshin is in a bad state because they waste so much resources on a dead game'. And it's getting worse and worse over the years. Until 2-3 years ago, the Honkai community was always very chill, helpful and welcoming to new players. Nowadays, i know from a lot of players that they are already rolling their eyes when the see Genshin players starting a 'Trying out Honkai stream'. Because almost everyone knows by now, that many of those just 'trying it' for the sake of bashing it to please their Genshin fandom. But even so i'm really happy to see also a lot of people who are genuinely interested in HI3's story and gameplay and i'm even more happy to see the community supporting them and helping them out. And yes, we finally get a BIG update that was long overdue. Even if HI3 will never get as big as HSR or Genshin and it didn't create that much profit, many people now how much HI3 means for DaWei. So, i'm absolutely hyped that they will bring the game uptodate as much as then can and continue it's positive and wholsome story xD. PS: If your afraid about starting Honkai because there is much story and events that you have to play first, you actually don't have to worry about that. Part 2 will have a complete new story and cast. There will probably connections to the story of part 1 and and it's cast to some extend. But what we now so far is, that new players can probably start direct with part 2. You can play part1 later or in between the story updates if you're interested in it. I personally would highly recommend it, because the story and the growth of the main cast is one of the best i've seen in many years of gaming.
Honestly, with release of HSR, Honkai 3rd players are aggressive, annoying and then they get defensive when you call them out on their non-stopping spoiling tyrade. Because that's what they've been doing consistenly so far. You can't discuss a single piece of HSR story without HI3 Andies barging in and telling how HI3 is so great and how everything is so canon as if they treat HSR as a sequel to HI3. Btw did you know Himeko died? I don't know the history behind Genshin and HI3 clashes, but I don't think I should know when I can fully see how HI3 players behave towards HSR fandom. Also, seeing how HI3 fandom doomposts everything about part2 because it's not about Kiana anymore is just an icing on the cake. You claim yourself as welcoming yet you can't shut up about how everything is so bad which drives people away. How ironic.

Je to free to play friendly hra. Všechny A rank (4 star) postavy jsou zdarma a A rank postava má několikanásobně zajímavější gameplay než 5 star v genshinu. Na S rank postavy je šance 1.5% a není tam 50/50. Tento nový gameplay nevypadá ani zdaleka tak dobře jako aktuální Honkai Impact 3rd. Nový gameplay a hlavně character design je hrozně generic. Nechápu proč bych hrál toto, když bude vycházet project mugen nebo wuthering waves. Fakt se podívej na trailery předchozích verzí. Kdyby ses nebál spoilerů, tak i na cutsceny a chronicles, ale to by už byla škoda.
part 2 doesnt feel like the honkai we know especially with the overhauled ui, completely new characters (not even from houkai gauken), and designs that look like a honkai impact ripoff. Not to mention the self insert MC replacing Kiana is an insult
Are you going to at least give it a chance? Kiana and their story is over, that's why they call Part 1 'Version Kiana.' They've done their thing, now let them rest. Or did you revolt when the story and characters shifted in _GGZ_ ?
They stated they reason why they want a new cast, Kiana and the others had they ties in GGZ and could not change they path much so it restrained the writing team to create new stories for this already stablished characters Adding a GGZ character would just repeat the problem and unable the team to work on something unique here, the MC is not a problem because it never was in any game besides Genshin

I can't keep up with HI3rd lore anymore so I'm not really that interested, like I used to play this game back when only the Chinese version was available and I did have fun, it was a fun game kind of like a beat em up with a bit of rhythm with the rewarding dodge system, this to me looks like a completely different game from the HI3rd I'm used to although it does carry on the fast pacing, I just don't think I can get on board with it now
And here I am full embracing this update looking forward to a whole new storyline. The players are split on this. Some are loving it and some think that it’s no longer HI3. The sad part is, aside from the graphics and the new UI, 100% of this is already in game as is and for some reason people don’t get that. I understand being upset that Kiana, Mei and Bronyas major story is over, but 7 years of storyline tends to have an ending, and all three characters are still around and doing stuff since this takes place before APHO
@@MrShamus22 hey props to you man but I wasn't exactly complaining about the ui and all that, I'm more so talking about the fact that as a returning player I would no longer be able to keep up since I missed a huge chunk of the game story wise and event wise, well that and certain banners no longer being available since this is a hoyoverse game and for some reason they can't have multiple banners running and changing at a healthy rotation so players could grind or whale for certain characters they want at any given time and not having to wait an entire year for their favorite characters to come out, I'm looking at you Eula you naughty b1tch
If the last time you played was when it was CN only, then obviously it looks completely different. Lol. That was many years ago and the game has changed a ton since then.

@@himalkanwar77 they should skip, part one is outdated and I love it, we don't know if part 2 will be better in story but it will definitely be better in gameplay and presentation, a lot of people that I tried to get in too Honkai impact jist quit because the gameplay in the start is not good and the presentation is awful, Hoyo should let people jump on part 2 right way and easy people to play part one when they feel like it by referencing part 1 characters in part 2 to entice people to check it out, if they force people to play part 1 we will run on the same problem
I do hope he plays it some day. Its their best written game ... until it... well uhh... yeah the ending was god awful... but like a solid 75% of it is gold.
