This mod has AA studio quality to alot of its additions to the base game. One of the best mods i've ever played, for any game.

Very cool looking, those units, omg! Kinda strange bug though, every time you spawn skeletons the power bar shifts in favor of the enemy.

always interesting watching the perspective of someone outside the warhammer community, being surrounded by ppl who basically knows every unit, every character of the warhammer (both fantasy and 40K) and then watching the contrast against someone who basically knows nothing of warhammer is... interesting.

IRL knights used to be very devastating, like you didnt even need full plate armor to not worry about arrows and that type of nonsense, leather armor was fully capable stopping arrows in bannerlord? rock goes brrr.... there is a historical example here: 'More than 9,000 peasants headed to the castle to defeat the aristocrats, but when about 40 knights appeared with their swords and spears, the peasants lost their fighting spirit in an instant. The peasants were killed one after another. The peasants shouted at the pain of their swords and spears, and the other peasants who saw them panicked. The knights killed more than 7,000 peasants overnight. Only one knight died in this battle. ' theres a major difference between an elite, trained knight and a peasant that at most maybe hunted for a living... that example is 225 peasants on one knight... if the peasants perhaps had stronger resolve or better training or the knowhow to even know where to begin taking down a knight, then they could have won... but peasants dont tend to have that knowledge... or resolve... but in bannerlord 10 peasants swarm a single knight and he most certainly looses... even tho their attacks shouldnt be very effective and all it would take for the knight is to swing into the swarmed up men a few times cutting down 1-3 men with every swing depending on the chosen weapon... hell people claim that crossbows can penetrate a full plate armor and believe that its enough to just put down a knight with a few shots.... however because a crossbow could do that, doesnt mean it would always do that... there are a few requirements first off you need to be pretty close second, your bolt needs to hit just right, if you hit the armor even at a slight angle then suddently the chance of the bolt sliding off rises extremely fast and lastly... when a bolt would penetrate, it would loose so much energy that most of the time all it would result in is a minor cut that the knight wouldnt even notice in the heat of battle....

How fleshed out is this mod? Was thinking of picking up Bannerlord but not sure how playable the base game even is

The current map is like 5 percent of what the entire lore projects so it will be a baddass mod when it will be done also kingdoms of Arda is huge bannerlord mods are just insane

thanks for the nice words about the texture and graphic but actually we don't use higher resolution as the Vanilla stuff we just optimize our UV and Textures better and also we see that we get everything as performance friendly as possible, ^^ so sometimes we are also under the polycound and texturesize then Vanilla XD 16:00 there is a point in recruiting them, ^^ at least when you want to have range troops because they are the only range troops that VC have ^^ 17:00 we have planned a lot of tiers and sometimes units jump over to a higher tier and ignore the tier between it so even 20 points seems nothing there is a reason why we have done it, but also it is a very very very very early version so enough time to also make changes there when they seems necessary ;) 20:02 even that is not a Zombie Horse we actually have Zombie Horses in it as well, higher tier Vampire Units rides on them ^^ 24:50 yes the Ai uses Magic as your Vampire Companion as well ^^ and I also don't understand why the Celestial Wizard is there, XD I thought we had them limit to the factions XD 28:50 would be better when you would have give him more inteligence because of his magic XD 41:00 the Staffs of the Wizards are actually quite powerfull ^^ and yeah VC has also no range Units (beside the few Human that they sometimes use) in there Armees but for that they have other good Units and the Cav is really strong and also they have their creatures that we also will implement when we have think how we want to implement them ;) 48:00 sorry without a beeing super lucky to get one as loot after a battle (or maybe have a mod that makes the chance better) or with cheats you will not get a Demigryph, ^^' its not in the shop and there is also no other option because Lorewise only the best Knights gets the honor to be able to get a Demigryph, they are rare, dangerous and not easy to tame, so we have to see in the future how we do it that the player can get one, maybe through a special high lvl quest or something ^^ 50:00 when you buy a book you can then go on the magnifying glass in the description when you are in a city and then you have to wait in the city and it will slowly give you xp for the skills ^^ 54:40 a tip when fighting against our hightier high armored Units in a tornament, run around them conter clockwise and try to hit their heads, even through the strong helmets you can here and there make 30 to 40 damage hits then ;) the Armor will not get that much of a chance or rework because VC is for one part a swarm faction and the other a tactic faction, ^^ thats why the skeletons and most of their higher tiers a bit weaker and have also less HP, ^^' but for this the Wraith have health regen and 75% physical resistance ^^

Try moving your permanent troops into a different group, that way you can send I the summanded ones first.

Holy shit, the amount of effort they've put into the terrain, maps, and random locations deserves a standing ovation!

As a necromancer, i propose he should use either a big scythe or a staff as a weapon.

So for anyone curious about Undead lore in the world of Warhammer, I’ll briefly explain: Long ago, Nehekara (proto-Egypt) had spawned the very first Necromancer named Nagash. He absorbed the power of the Nehekaran Underworld God and essentially became Death incarnate himself. He cursed all of his people to become undead for all time, turning them into Tomb Kings (mummies). Afterwords he created the Elixir of Life, which granted immortality and eternal youth to any who drank it. It worked, until a young queen named Neferata created her own version. This bootleg version of the Elixir did work, but it also cursed any who drank it with a thirst for blood. This caused her and all her followers to become the First Vampires. Eventually the Vampires infiltrated the Empire of Man, establishing themselves as a dominant power and even taking over the region of Sylvania, headed by the famous Von Carstein line. Nowadays though, Neferata is on the run and Nagash has been entombed into a trap of his own making, leaving the remaining vampires to fend for themselves using human thralls and a never ending army of the undead.

Maybe someone can help me guys, do you know why everytime i try to put any mod in my launcher it crashes. I really look into many vidoes about it and dont know why the mods dont go well with their versions, i search into the 1.7.1 and my MCM doesnt look to work. Thank you for advantage. As someone who always loved skeletons and was always angry cause skeletons were always the bottom of the armies power-wise in games (like Heroes of M&M 3) seeing this mod makes me really excited. Also its hard to believe it is "just a mod" and not official content from devs - the quality is amazing :O. I only wish the moder(s) made a deal with devs to make this official cause I just hate the manual mod installations :Z (or at least if steam made workshop for the game with this mode on for easy updates). I would not even mind to buy it as paid DLC cause as I said it looks so good and it is literally my favorite theme - skeletons and vampires :).

Companion do use magic but they have the tendency to kill friendlies too hahaha

Literally just uninstalled Bannerlord the other day to make myself wait a bit further into the EA phase to play again, but this mod is making me re-install it right now.

A bit late but many of the giant skeletal heads, big pointy sharp rock formations etc were made in a time when First Demon of Chaos Gods was one of the most dominating force in the world. By great effort of Lizardmen and Elves deamons all over the world are pushed back but taint of the land left its mark.

Couldn’t you buy humans and if they die they get turn into skeletons? Idk but it’s worth a shot ig if you haven’t already tried that

It would be a nice add on to be aviable to kill the prisioners so you can transform them in skeletons to recruit.

I put a couple hundred hours into the Warband Warsword mod which was a Warhammer Fantasy mod for Warband. I'm really excited for this mod and all the potential it has. I wonder if ut's being developed by the same people

The AI can and does use magic, at least the necromancer does. But they do friendly damage so they will slaughter your skeletons

could be wrong but at the start of the second battle with the necromancer companion, he waves his staff at the same time you summon skeletons and more skeletons than normal were summoned

I think raising the dead, in the faction full of necromancers and vampires, shouldn't cause any risk of relation damage You might also want to look at the better equip mod that lets you auto see what stuff is better than your current items. Big warhammer fan, so i hope you stick to the series

Re: The Skull in the ground - due to the influence of CHAOS and death magic on the world, skulls often form randomly in the topography. You'll see mountains with skulls, forests form into the outline of skulls, etc. This is particularly prevalent in corrupted places like Sylvania which is saturated with Death magic thanks to all the vampire counts and the constant wars.

Okay, I have held off on Bannerlord all this time, but this mod plus the improvements to the game have me convinced. Thanks for showing this one off!
