Necromancy 1-99/120 Quick Guide [Runescape 3] 

I wanted to post and pin this comment as I've already seen multiple comments saying its unfair about my knowledge of the skill: Just to let you all know, I am literally using all of the information in which Jagex has given everyone in newsposts, livestreams, twitter, reddit etc. This is not because I playtested the skill. I didn't even attend the 2nd playtest btw... 90% of what i playtested when i visited Jagex has been changed and the things that haven't been changed were revealed in newspots shortly after regardless. They revealed all the info in this video to the public, plenty that was not known by anyone, even the playtesters (like the XP scaling by HP rebalance for example, wasn't spoken about at the playtest). I'm ahead of the curve because I've dedicated literally all my time to researching the skill leading up to the release to help with knowledgeable content and for going for 200M myself. TL;DR; I'm literally basing this video off the info everyone has access to. Even if i didn't playtest I could have made this video by doing all the research and theorycrafting I've been doing on stream with my viewers for the last 3 weeks... So I wanted to make this to help people who haven't had the 200 hours of theorycrafting time I've had with all the public info/reveals over the last month.

Honestly, I've been using your spreadsheet over the past week and updating my own. I have my POSD filled and I have monters ready for when I progress in level. I have ghost hunters and am using Akrisae augmented. I also have gizmo extractors when required, but I'm set until T70. I am so excited for this that even the prep was fun as hell.

question do you think it is worth doing kbd or arch glacor post change for exp? KBD especially is extremely fast kills per hour and has a high amount of high. Also theres some tricks you can do with gear already in the game to kill him super fast with necro

good luck on the race I sadly am planning on taking it easy on this skill as I got work mixed with also alot of planning of travels to new home in a month or two then got alot on my plate but so rooting for those to reach 200 Million!

Can you use reinforced dragon bones for every ritual, even when you first do them at level 5, or do you unlock higher tier bones to use as you level?

Do you have any recommendations on what rituals to do and at what levels? I know upgrading the default necromancy gear requires ensouled materials via rituals. Also, I don't have the Slayer Helm everywhere unlock from Anachronia, so for Banshees, would it be better to just wear my Slayer Helm in that case? Thanks for the guide!

Thanks for the guide! I haven't really done any research yet (which I should've been doing while using my 28 day golden cape perk to get 120 Arch). Not racing myself, I just want to get Max back as quickly as possible. Do you think people will be hitting 99 day 1?

Just wanted to come back and post that I got Necro Kiln cape with your help on what waves to kill. This can easily be done 54 Necro (you unlock Soul Sap and Soul Strike) with full T50 gear as long as you have done Kiln before.

Is there any slower and more consistent method for early levels where you're not competing for spots if you don't got pod? Seems like rush to 90 and then ed3 skeles is the way to go but it's just getting to 90 if you haven't done prep is the issue.

Quick question. You said stay at rituals to level 70 and unlock the 5 tier but underneath it says 8500 souls which is needed for the 6th tier. So should I stay to 8500 or just go do cb to level 80 and then go back to rituals

the crafted armour, can we augment it? I can't find any source that it say it will or not - when the choice happen for power armour or tank armour will that be augmented basically

What a banger, a 1-120 guide BEFORE the skill release? That's insanely helpful, btw I compared your talent order between the spreadsheet and this video and it's a bit different, swapped threads of fate with conjure putrid and spectral scythe t1 with command putrid. Is this initial order not that important? Thx :)

Might be a stupid question, but how do you get adrenaline bar up while standing in front of the Well of Souls in order to unlock some of the skills? I'm not 84 herblore yet so I can't make the adrenaline pots.

What perks do you have on your sliske?

wait where do you get melee banshees for posd?!

I still have master of all title yet no necromancy pet in inventory, bank or in customization. Seems to be a bug or maybe title was given a grace period?

Ironman with no akrisae or Sliske's armour here. I did the Hanto armour from the Arc. It's augmentable, just as good as Akrisae, but not RNG dependent and it cost only 2m to reclaim.

I have the T30 weapons, Ghost hunter, Salve Amulet (e) and I only have 79% accuracy vs the banshees?

How many souls of the creatures you posted would you recommend to capture? 3-4? Or can you do 5 of em at the levels in the posd?

aren't the safe spots removed with armored phantoms making it impossible to kill one at a time?

Great guide and good luck on the race. Would like to suggest that it was not really clear to me how to get the talents. The guide says combat but what is really needed is the lesser communion ritual which is the only way I found to get souls into the well. So have to do the lesser communion to get credit for souls to then get talents. I know confusing.

What perks do I put on my tier 70 necro gear?

Am I wrong in thinking that we can just craft and wear the t70 armour straight away since armour goes off def level ?? Or do you need the necro level to wear or craft ? Thanks

Thank you for this all Maikeru! I wonder how you found out the new LP on mobs? The shadow warriors with new LP are better than for example fetid zombies? The fetid zombies look really good in my eyes, but apparently I oversee something?

Sorry if this question has already been addressed but I was wondering if bosses such as DK’s who have high defense in certain combat styles will also get a high necromancy defense too or can I just roll into DK’s and own them with necro?

What's the best ritual setup to get 3000 souls for the quest?

For those that think they might have it, but are not sure, make sure to check your armour chest via the bank to see if you have your ghost hunter stored. It does not show up when you search it simply via the bank. I had mine and I saved so much annoyance farming another set as I thought I had destroyed it long ago.

it took me 11hrs straight (today) to get full ghost hunter doing spiritual warriors in personal slayer dungeon. i can now rest before necro

Awesome video. Definitely taking a bunch of tips. One thing though. I know you mentioned it in other videos, but I don't think you showed what perks you were planning on using

I don't think people should rush this skill. I think that's the issue with RS3 at the moment, everyone is in such a rush. Can't everyone remember the days when we would just chill and take our time skilling, having fun with the game, relaxing and talking with mates. Now its all about min/maxing and grinding as hard as possible to get things done super fast. We should be pushing back on this mindset

as a player who just started should i do this rn? My cb stats are about 40 on all. Or should I wait a bit and do it later when I have access to better gear and training spots? Also is it viable to train this with slayer?

Or - hear me out - you can take it slow, discover the skill for yourself and enjoy it, instead of rushing and burning yourself out. Just a thought.

so if 2 people damage a monster you both get exp respective to the damage delt? if so will make busy spots a little less aids

Do you really need all the souls for the tree? I just want to afk stuff and get 99 so i can go back to slayer which is what im doing 80-99 cause rituals are slloowwww

Why ghost hunter gear and not the necro armour?

What do you reckon the xp/h rates will be for the bound skeletons, risen ghosts and armoured phantoms?

2:30 there is also high guard of hanto gear to augment

Why wouldnt you use 2 Multiply 2 for an extra 80% instead of just a speed 1 and 40%, makes no sense.

Why can't I afk abyssal savages when I have tier 90 gear?

Taking into consideration that all monster spots will be packed upon release i think i'll be using only rituals to level up so i can use all of my parcels of the dead bones. It might be slower but hey, i don't have to fight other people for mobs
