Good content as usual:) - Combi-weapons: as you mentioned in passing, the only viable combi weapons are the combi-las options exclusive to Van saar, since they are the only ones that end up costing less than the equivalent special guns, but even then I agree with you assessment that you are better off always just getting the normal version of that special weapon and maybe a backup lasgun/stubgun. - Long las/Long rifle: I like to attach a Las-projector to these, so that my 'sniper' has +1 to hit at all ranges (can still add an Infra-sight to ignore Smoke and mitigate Pitch black and Cover) - Meltagun: personally I tend to get it towards the late stages of a campaign, if I bring in a fresh new champion, just so he can ensure a kill on each shot (due to the Melta trait circumventing Injury rolls), to get the 'noobie' some XPs quickly before the finale of the campaign (generally involving Overseer or some Tactic cards like Bait and switch or Desperate effort, to give the Meltagunner a double activation to run into Melta range and take the shot). - Storm welder: it is a suicide weapon! Unstable makes you blow up on a 1, 2 or 3 whenever you have to make an ammo roll and with 3 Fire dice you have nearly 1/4 chance of needing that ammo check, so altogether you have 1 in 8 chance of exploding every time you fire it; the Reckless trait means you have to randomly chose the primary target from all visible fighters (friend or foe - granted you can have this gunner at the front of your gang so all it sees are enemies, but even then you may end up targeting the one enemy in the heaviest cover, miss and just explode...) - the only sensible way (for me) to field this gun is by hiring the Goliath's named Hive scum Tess 'Arc-up' for 90 creds (or more likely for free from some racket/territory boon), so you don't really care if it explodes. Anyway, keep it up and Cheers!! :)

Grav guns are scary for sure, but the last game I played They didn't do but one wound. It was the mission with the sentry grav gun and I had one in my gang too. The sentry shot at someone almost every activation, and my ganger got a couple shots off too. Everyone kept making the strength checks except for my subtek, who got taken out of action the second time the sentry shot him. The dice were weird that day.

I would also like to voice my support for your work! I'm real new to Necromunda and haven't managed to convince my wargaming group to try it yet (I will break them eventually) so these kinds of basic overviews are real handy to me. It's interesting to see where your thoughts line up with and/or differ from the Goonhammer articles on the game, which has previously been the one main source I had for thoughts on the game. Oh, and I think you might be slightly off about the Graviton Pulse rule? You mention that it automatically pins but I believe that you are conflating it with the Seismic trait, the Graviton Pulse just halves movement within the blast template for the round. *EDIT* And you already caught it and addressed it in the next video, so nevermind! I've been following along with the rulebook as I listen, and I can confirm that Melta does just take you right out of action if you are taken to 0 wounds. :)

Great video. Graviton pulse does not force pin, but It has no save. Seismic force pin the target

Damen, I'm trying to understand how much are we supposed to know about our opponent's gang in terms of abilities and weapons. How much of that meta are we really allowed to know and react to? Like, is it cool to know exactly what a model does, or does that offend the meta too much? Here I'm defining meta as what we know and what our models are allowed to know. This might be a longer conversation...

I'm not entirely sure I understand the question? Do you mean are we supposed to be informed of what the opponent brings to the table in entirety? If so then absolutely everything yes. We normally go through our lists verbally and present the gang to an opponent before play. Does that answer your question?
