I wanted to say that you and Rob make the internet a better place, I specify because I have the pretentious impression that you answered me (with "keep it troll"), if not, I apologize for my impudence.
Wind instruments are perfect for the arpeggios, since the notes are so separate when a good player like this plays. A guitar being a stringed instrument has a lot more noise to worry about and yeah there is distortion and many other effects/EQ going on. Biggest thing is the sweeps, I would assume. To do those arpeggios on a guitar requires sweeping, and even though Suicmez and Muenzner were gods of sweeping, it still has a certain percussive and noisy sound that wind instruments just don’t have. Guitars have what we call “attack”, and tons of it.
Classical/metal guitar are my main instruments and I just started playing clarinet (8 days in rn). Someone told me to learn a Necrophagist piece to start off my clarinet repertoire. In the past 8 days I've learned some scales and arpeggios, the main riffs to Sunshine of Your Love, Smoke on the Water, War Pigs, some Grieg, some Stravinsky, and P Diddy's "Bad Boys for Life". I took the Necrophagist suggestion as a joke. Now I see that my man wasn't joking. That's awesome! But I guess for doing Necrophagist, this guy's been practicing the clarinet for at least 20 days...
I showed a friends son who plays clarinet your talent and not only was he amazed, found a new love for music he wouldn't dare care for lol thank you so much bro, can i make a suggestion. . . Revocation. . Possibly the song "conjuring the cataclysm" anyway keep it up friend, sheer talent.
stringbenderbb strictly speaking if one wants to play all the notes/articulation and still maintain a good sound, it's about a 9.5 In terms of the verses and stuff, it's about a 7. The solo, definitely a 10/10. It's just borderline too fast to keep up with while moving all the fingers around.
I have some of Calebs other stuff on my phone. Once an elderly lady saw me head banging and asked me if I was listening to "That heavy metal stuff" So I said "Kind of ..." and when I let her hear it she said "The melody is wonderful, I just don't know why the singer sounds so ..." "Metal" I told her.
=))))))) only 2 days in the new year and I feel like I've been dragging for 6 months and this made me lol at work! this is amazing! Please do The Faceless!
