I feel like if I saw the intestinal incubation solo live, I'd have cried. I hate it when bands improv solos, so bless his heart that he nailed the solo exactly as recorded. One of my favourite solos in metal.

I saw Necrophagist in a tiny club in 2006 with 20 other people. One of the best shows I've ever seen in my life. So happy I got to see the death metal enigma before they disappeared forever...

everyone always talks about how tomas haake has excellent limb separation on drums, but seeing muhammed suicmez do vocals and play some of these bananas riffs is truly a sight to behold.

Crazy to think that Marco Minnemann is playing on this. HE plays for Guthrie Govan now! Such a versatile drummer.

During his solo, Marco incorporates some signature elements and flourishes from (at least) four famous live solos from some of the best drummers in history: - Dave Weckl (see the legendary Colaiuta/Gadd/Weckl ensemble performance from the Buddy Rich memorial concert, AKA the best drum video on RU-vid) - Virgil Donati (his both-ends-of-the-stick flourishes; one of Donati's Stockholm clinic videos shows that technique pretty nicely) - Mike Mangini (his "crab armed" crossover lateral fills and that seven note closing riff @41:26, both from the legendary live solo from an Extreme tour on the green Pearl kit with the remote hats) - Terry Bozzio (his double kick patterns from the _Baby Snakes_ era Zappa tour which Marco plays a modified form of @41:17 right before the solo's sign-off)

Seriously the most talented band by far, nothing I have ever listen to has made me feel even remotely close to the way Necrophagist does. It's actually chilling.

Saw these guys on this tour with my girlfriend at the time who had NO IDEA what death metal was all about lol. Intestinal Incubation, Seven and Extreme Unction will always be death metal classics in my book.

It's cool too see how they recover from minor mistakes and stay tight. I never understood just how hard their stuff is until I tried to learn how to play it last year. On top of that Muhammed sings while playing it.

Right literally every band in the tech seen wants to be nercophagist Muhammed was such an amazing gutair player to me is the most influential to me out of any other musician out there I wish I could play like him in every way shape form and so many bands literally take the blueprint to what nerophagist was doing so many try to replicate but never actually make it happen some have got close to capturing the sound but not so much long live necrophagist I was thinking in my head when I seen the title untill I read all of it like no way could it be no .....is it ...no way ....and yeah fail not new material to bad he works for BMW now but you know makes you wonder he has to be still playing as a bedroom shredmaster and the Ibanez xiphos the original is hard and rare to find the 27 fret it's expensive as well if you do find it that rig iconic if you ask me I wonder if you can find that exact model that muhammed played for so many years ohh that rig would be legendary and I would not just let it sit in some case or display fuck that I would be playing the shit outta that jank bud
