@@2goXD I’ve managed to get down stabwound the stillborn one my guts are okay but I gotta to re learn riffs cos my guitar was out of funk for a while 🙃🙃🙃
*"BROOO!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!"* Is literally what I yelled out when I replayed that just to make sure I didn't miss it, and surely enough, he actually did it, speechless.
This song took a while to grow on me... now it's my favourite Necrophagist song. I can't believe how good this performance is either. Incredible music.
Necro is not my favorite band definitely, I would say after years of listening it's one of the least favorite bands, but this song is a brilliant of technical death metal and maybe my favorite song of this genre. 1:47 riff is something that Muhammed can definitely be proud of.
I hardly headbang to Necrophagist cuz i am in awe every single time i listen to them i know nothing about music theory and all that I don't play any instruments but i am always so fucking mind blown
@@aggelosmanolis5689 understandable. Learn some theory and come back to like the song epitaph and it's even more mine blowing than I was the first time
@@Mahina-Kekoawhat's even more impressive is that Muhammed allegedly did not know much about music theory. He and Jonas Bryssling (Spawn of Possession) were both self taught musicians, which is even more mind boggling for me.
I think it wouldn't be too far from the truth if I said only Necrophagist could play Necrophagist. Such a damned shame that they don't exist anymore Edit: *Is that fucking Marco Minnemann?!*
@@marcelosena8955 no they probably couldn't but they wouldn't need to anyway death is death Necrophagist is Necrophagist both have their own unique sound and both are some of the best bands to ever exist
At 2:43 he actually seems to play this part of the solo slightly too fast. You can hear him ringing out the note slightly longer than it’s meant to, but that’s if you want to be insanely critical because this performance was outstanding.
everybody is saying that but i beg to differ. he plays simpler versions of those drumlines and adds little to nothing to his playing in exchange. feels like people are just stoked when they see marco because he was on that one dream theater audition video
@@kitarajaba9154 I'm on the same page. Not to take anything away from Marco, he's a legend and he's one of the top drummers currently alive. It's just that the stuff that Hannes plays is basically the pinnacle of this genre and requires an unbelievable level of dedication to play correctly. I think that, given more time, Marco would have been able to obviously nail the tracks 100 percent, but he was stepping FAR out of his comfort zone as far as playing goes and you can't exactly learn this style of playing overnight. The level of endurance, precision, technical ability and power required are incredibly high. To even go further with this example of comfort zones, Hannes when playing live (gotta emphasize that) with Hate Eternal and playing some of their older catalog, you can tell that playing for loooong extended periods that are just constant blasts, he almost struggles to keep the power (as most would, only a few can truly play with speed and power like that for long periods) on his snare hand. Marco and Hannes are both god tier drummers but they both have their specialties, as do guys like David Diepold, George Kolias or John Longstreth. You switch any of these guys up and make them play with the other guy's band, there will be a bit of a learning curve for them. We're pretty lucky to have such an incredible wealth of drumming talent in this day and it's so rare to see a guy like Marco, who normally plays Fusion, jumping into a death metal band. I loved watching him play with Necrophagist. I know a lot of dudes are stoked about Marco, too, because of his work with Paul Gilbert #endrant
I can play Epitaph and Stabwound at %125 speed but I cannot even learn this one. Not that it is the hardest thing to play but when you slow down and study with tabs you will be like "how the hell did you think of that?". Anytime I study this song I become more addicted to it. The riffs and timing are so unique that you just dont get used to it.
@@Spaghetti-is-grossyou can't play this through normal memorization, have to play it at whatever speed you can do it cleanly and accurately and burn it into the muscle memory
Found on Wikipedia : "Sami uses an Amfisound custom Routa model. He uses ENGL SE's in Necrophagist due to Necrophagist endorsement deal with the company. He uses an ENGL Powerball in Codeon. Having recently become an Ibanez Guitars endorsee, Sami has started using an RG-Series 7 String on stage with Necrophagist. His RG-7 is satin black, with a Lo-Pro Edge tremolo system and active EMG-707 pickups."
Beautiful song, Necrophagist is my favorite of all. Very sad to see Muhammed eating ice cream instead of a new album, but hey Muhammed got that ice cream well deserved for Epitaph!
Lol I was wondering why it seemed like the group was a little low energy and remembered I still had the speed at .75x from a previous vid. Certainly brings out the cleanliness of the playing.
Sami is now using 7 String guitars on stage with Necrophagist in order to preview songs from their new album. He also purchased a custom neck-through RGD from Ibanez.
Muhammed already made 2 albums guys...he is just waiting the end of his deal with Relapse to release them cuz he doesn't wanna release them with relapse. According to what i heard, the deal ends in 2014...so be patient
Happened to me 1 month ago. I have dream that they have a gig on my high school event. I also meet two of them and talking about guitar, music, and their new album with Sami and Muhammed. Sadly, Muhammed says "Sorry, boy. There is no more." Is this a nice dream or nightmare?😔
Compare Hannes Grossman blast beats at live gigs in these songs and compare this drummer's... We cannot even hear snare drum becuase his hits in high tempos blasts are very weak.
