I LOVE IT, but I agree that freezing is an exclisive hability of the Polaris, in this tribe could be something like: Fear, Scared, creeped out or Paralyzed.

There should be a tech after Shields: Castles Can build wall: Wall- Takes a full tile, 40 HP. Neither enemy nor your units can enter through it. Musketmen- Unit with same attack strength like swordsmen. Can only attack when adjacent to enemy. Attack unit cannot retaliate.

This would probably be that one tribe that would revolve around their units

yeah i agree only polaris should be able to freeze or else it just gets to complicated, but apart from that this is really sick and would be cool if it could be added as a sort of halloween celebration.

I absoloutley love the idea of using population, my only problem would be on the balancing side of things. I think that it should use stars as normal to produce units and buy techs. It would be cool if you could either decrease the population of the city or decide when you do get things to increase population, it would go into some sort of bank of sould where you could expend them to make other special units. Unfortunate to say, but I think that the mojority of the units you have here in mind would proabaly have to go and most of them being replaced with your standard human units. Some of the ideas you presented in here could be develpoed into an original tech tree or just different variations of what you had in mind. Maybe a Vampirism tech (I have no idea where that would go) that give you a chance of being healed when you attack something. I agree with the comment section: freezing should be exclusive of Polaris. Some one commented that there could be a fear feature instead. As a D&D player, I am familiar with the Frightened condition. I means that you can't move closer to the unit that you are frightened of and have disadvantage on all attacks against it until the effect ends. I imagine it as it can use its turn to frighte all enimies units in a 2 tile radius. These units cant move closer to the unit they are frightened of and this super unit gains the effects of the city wall of all units that are frightened of it. I think it should be the super unit aswell. For my bank of souls idea, I couldn't really think of many units that could be produced, but variations of what you showed in the video could be produced from it. Maybe the bank of souls could be a building placed and you can produce units from that. There is a lot of potential with this, and I really do hope this project will continue on.

Yes, but Like some have said, infection and if the unit does not get cured by a mind bender or something like get back on there city, they get turned into there own Necrosus equivalent

THE DUTCHMAN NEEDS A CAPTAIN

Always had this concept of a tribe: The Britoins. Description- Steam rises over the horizon as strange ships sail towards Polytopia. These ships originate from the archipelago of Brito located on the outskirts of Polytopia. Due to their home being surrounded by the sea, the residents of Brito have mastered the arts of sailing and dominate the high seas with their powerful fleet of unquiet and special ships built only by them. A strange explosive powder found on their homeland also give the Britoins special powerful weapons not found in the other tribes. Though apart of Polytopia, living in the outskirts has caused the Britoins to develop a unique and slightly different tech tree unknown to the other tribes. This tribe starts off with a huge capital, in addition starts off with “Sailing and Navigation” tech. The standard units they do have: -Warrior -Archer -Rider -Swordsman -Catapult Special Units: Land- -Officer (in place of mind benders) -Cannon -Musketeer -Grenadier -Cavalry (in place of Knights) Water- -Frigate -Cruiser -Steamboat Special Technology- •Naval Development- Unlocks special naval units and shipyards •Officer School- Unlocks literacy and Officer unit •Small arms- Unlocks musketeers and grenadiers •Artillery- Unlocks cannon Scorch Earth- Unlocks the ability to burn forest and allows the destruction of enemy buildings

This is an amazing concept and I would love to see it in the game but a there are a few too many special units for a special tribe if you know what I mean. I love love LOVE how they use Pop instead of Stars to produce units and how they can only be produced from necropolis. Love it. Can’t wait until the next one.

Interesting and very unique tribe with a lot of interesting mechanics maybe rework the population system and the lich king is a bit OP but I guess If he can only turn one unit at a time and it uses a turn then yeah but otherwise great work 👍

Being able to instantly produce a battleship, Knights that can hide, troops that completely negate defense, and giants that can convert troops into your own troops. Not to mention a mind bender that is actually useful.

Necrosus are the undead scourges of the Square. The tribe that used to inhabit these lands, the Lassarole, have all but been extinct or been forced to exist in this living hell of a state. The Necrosus are capable, fierce, and slave warriors. The Lassarole plains is where they flourish, but they have dwindling resources and population. Necrosus starts with the "Resurrection" tech.

I love the idea, don't know about freezing, I feel like invisibility is enough... But the zombie idea is awesome!

You should replace freeze with infection or curse that damages every turn

really good job on the concept, but i personally feel like the replacements for some units like archers, swordsmen, and other more basic units dont need special abilities. i feel like those should be reserved for the super units and special units whos primary use is for their ability not their stats

Interesting idea. But using population in lieu of stars would require an overhaul of the game code. Also, what happens if someone captures your capital? Does that mean the entire popu-star chain collapses even if you have other city/villages?
