Absolutely love rural TN and have friends and relatives there and in KY not far from Paducah. I also really love S MO and have land in the Ozarks for my tiny home.
This is not going to be an ITH community with lots to rent. ITH will be building a new subdivision so once the homes are sold and built ITH will not have anything more to do with it. It will be a regular neighborhood where you own your home and lot
These homes will be regular stick built homes built on-site that qualify for a regular mortgage from your bank or credit union. We will not be doing any financing.
East Tennessee isn't in tornado alley. They sit down in middle Tennessee often. But the little towns in East TN that are nestled into the Smoky Mountains are sheltered. Nevertheless, it won't matter what size your home is if it takes a hit.
They're for rent, but I don't want to rent, I want to OWN. They sucker you in with initially low lot rent, then hike it up at will, and you're stuck there unless you pay a lot to move your tiny home. If you can swing it, BUY YOUR LAND FIRST and make sure you're allowed to build a tiny home on it without having to first build a permanent structure. But, even building a very small permanent structure on your own land is better than renting at your landlord's mercy.

@@feelosophy1921 I bought raw land in Arizona with a friend. There's plenty of room to grow vegetables. Still in the planning stage for a permanent small house. I like it so far.
