The older you get, you find you have more physical limitations, and your priorities change. You become more and more "the Sheepdog", where your primary goal is no longer just accumulating stuff, but instead it's to keep your family (personal flock) alive and safe, and do your best to get them to Heaven. Everything else is secondary, and no politician or guru can do it for you. It's all on your shoulders, where it should be. Nobody is coming to save you, but you.
Jack of all trades, Master of none. Much better than the expert behind a desk. Society puts down blue collar tradesmen, but after an SHTF they will be the heroes that rebuild society, even if it's just their own neighborhood. And they will lead the way to building community by helping others.
The regular people of the world do not want conflict. The people that we've relinquished our sovrenty do want conflict because they've never had to struggle for anything and their lives are empty. Its time to isolate them. We don't need them, they need us. Turn your back.
Regular people (particularly in the west) want comfortable lives that had been enforced by external conflicts. Its been like this for generations. They're also responsible. Some of the population are no different than the ringmasters - 1 percent versus the 99 percent is a false meme. The 'sheeple' are wicked, some are evil. Sometimes no different than the so-called 1%. In the tale of jesus, the vast majority of western sheeple adopt the role of peter who denied jesus/Judas/ etc. I'm not saying I'm exempt from this observation, but it holds true. The westernised ringmasters dont need us(or even each other). They own our supply chain of foods and goods. We're internally a discoherent society with low internal trust, who make nothing, with an offshored goods supply. None of us produce anything of any real value, and none of us are needed to the rest of the peoples of the world.
Most people in western society adopt the role of Peter who denied Jesus or of Judas. They sold out for generations. A good minority are no different than the top ringmasters - the 1 percent versus the 99 percent is a false meme. And soon its time to pay up.
I concur, we need to train and I’m always at work, I’m trying to get in to a different line of work that way I can get more active and in the outdoors with the family, driving trucks has a lot of mental fatigue and low physical fitness I have started walking/rucking with 50+lbs at truck stops before I hit the shower/Bed. Hopefully I can keep this up plus loose weight.
Why do I train? Several reasons: memory refresher, developing new skills and to test my mettle. Every time I follow through on an intention or plan I’ve won a victory, if not over something over myself.
Very interesting point about a victory when you follow through and accomplish a goal. When I made a 48 volt solar emergency power cart it felt great knowing I had done something that was useful and helping prepare.
Reason to train?.... Two reasons... The first is that when bad things happen you won't have time to think it through...but you will react. When you train on a task there is a greater chance that you will default to the training vs panic. Second, is physical. Done correctly, training works. You'll be surprised at the difference it makes. I've spent years since my retirement volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. All to often I'll grab a sheet of playwood, bundle of shingles, tools, etc. and ask others to help. Inevitably I see the same thing happen over and over again...six grown men will pick up the next sheet, etc. and wonder how I can manage it alone. Not bragging. Just pointing out that after years of hard training it can sometimes be easy overlook the actual average level of fitness in our youth. When tough times come that strength may mean the difference between saving a life and failure. So go train. Best of luck, Phil
I have 30 acres and walk the fence lines in full kit and gear with my rifle, during the evenings after getting home from work, check on the cattle and sheep and look at the fences. I am in SE Georgia.
I wanted to add. Nobody makes stuff in an industrialised western society. China makes stuff. India makes stuff. Asia makes stuff. South America makes some stuff. Africa is a source of minerals and stuff for batteries. We NEED those people to live and for a meaningful living standard. Humanity DOESN'T NEED everyone else who might be considered to be a 'problem'. Western industrialisation is dependent on foreign materials and components. Foreign indentured servitude. Even a western working class person until recently often enjoyed a middle class lifestyle by the standards of the global working class who make the resources etc, and westerners still enjoy some middle class goods and services. They're not really working class. And now it seems they might deemed to be not needed at all in a game of musical chairs with the number of chairs reducing at speed.
It feels like preparedness has been an ebb and flow. It's definitely an ongoing battle with "I need more ammo just in case" vs "do I really need 10k rounds of ammo" and generally try to sit somewhere in the middle. Also, living in the area I live in and having moved here with no "pack" to rely upon aside from my wife, changes what I prep and how.
Dang now I have to go do stuff.... Wood to chop, electrical repairs, lawn mower seasonal prep, dog poop to scoop time to teach the Grand kids how to do stuff while I sit in the shade. One of the best ways to learn stuff is try teaching it. It's called the Feynman Technique named after Richard Feynman a world renowned physicist. I learned the technique in Boy Scouts, 4-H, FFA and the US Marines in the 60's and 70's. I didn't know it was a learning technique until I was in my 60'. If you want to get good at something curb your ego and join a group and learn to interact. Don't get too offended by someone with different political or points of view..... I should mention that my kids think I am actually a Troglodyte. It's in the Dictionary.
I agree about the generations always talk smack about current generation byt in all fairness our generations did say men can be pregnant, a person can change their gender or identity as a cat, we didn't think its ok to have gay porn in schools either and so much more. It my be a regular stereotype to knock the next gen but this crap is on a new level and the criticism I believe is justified.
Somebody once suggested hormones in the water, contraceptive pill usage etc may be affecting behaviour and mating choices etc, so mabye some of ther stuff is reversible. Older generations also are pretty poor if you compare to eastern/central europe peoples - you'd have to go back in time to the 1900s (pre WW1 and 2) to get the kind of people humanity wants and needs.
@@ahnidabeejay i agree with that completely, I'm not saying it's their fault at all the train wreck of hormones and mental illness and lack of proper up bringing all play a part. I was just stating that the criticism of the new generation is justified not necessarily their fault but justified. As far as being poor we all the reason for that the overreacting government taxing us to death it's extortion and theft.
@@mortem-tyrannis Ah I see. Fair enough. As for saying 'poor' I meant the standard of general behaviour in eastern and central europe that I had observed amongst the general population on thinking about it and having lived there was far higher than in our western societies that I was born into, and some recent migrants retain this behaviour (though it is lost by the second generation and thus such positive survival and human social behaviours don't filter into the society at large). In my humble opinion (though I asked others who agreed with me). I'm not saying I'm objectively right.
@@ahnidabeejay I think you're absolutely right when it comes to behavior as a whole, people are rude and entitled they lack Faith in God Almighty hell they don't just lack faith they know nothing about it. Our schools indoctrinate, our media indoctrinates, our government our music all lie and promote a evil disgusting way of life.
This video is something everyone should see, and HEAR. It is great for motivation. I live by never allowing myself to get comfortable for too long. You both are right. Also, I really appreciate the networking tips. I needed that, Stoker.
I loved Jason's 40 mile in the desert challenge. Good job on trying it and finding out what you can do. A suggestion, electrolyte. You sweat out salt as you move. I'll bet that that is part of why you hit the wall.
Solid video. I’m still looking for a network in my area . Finding those with some common goals isn’t as hard as finding those with the work ethic. Y’all have a great evening
News is t really a new thing. Im 40 now but i remember my grandfather long gone now R.I.P. only watched the weather and fishing forecast due to it being so negative
Training is important and requires time, money and energy. We also cannot predict or train really for what comes ahead, no amount of training will ever be enough (and a lot of the training might be irrelevant, or we come to our end by other means). Training increases your odds from 0.1% to 10% (if even that). And mabye that's why people train. Its kind of like the lottery really - a mixture of necessity and hoping you will be a 'winner' in some way (or at least not suffer too harshly in comparison to had you not trained, like other people).
I live in a very small town, when I say that I am not talking like 3,000 . I am talking like 300, so a group/ team is definitely something I am lacking. I am not a trusting person and tend to take care of things myself and I know if when SHTF this will be a problem.
Great video guys. I agree. Jack of all takes and a master of none. But I know the masters. So that gives me a leg up. And I know the master of all. The father.
I'd be a beekeeper if I wasn't in an apartment. You can sell honey for a good price. 40 miles is quite a distance. I've never walked more than 25 miles in one day.
8:21... *Secrecy is #1 mandatory pillar of Prepping.* I know so many people that get robbed , because they tell others about what they have. @13:22 is a perfect example. 9:30...I agree...developing healthy boundaries with connections to like minded people is another Prepper Pillar. I never see the second most important thing discussed after spiritual faith. Which is trust. Trust is social capital. All the preps and skills in the world aren't going to help you if you're enemies with the almighty or if you have a horde at your door, and some of that horde are also well-prepared, organised and have resources. Should western societies fail completely and the top level people lose control, you can bet the chinese, muslims, indians and nonwhites will not only restrict logistical supplies to western societies, but will be pulling security as a joint endeavour ASAP. But in this era, people will betray each other. The top people even if hiding in a bunker will turn on each other in internal power disputes. The only thing that keeps them in check is being semi-part of a greater society, despite having their own communities. Trust isn't being a so-called 'leader' in your local community. That's more of a 'management' position, knowing how such people talk of each other behind each other's backs. Even true at the national level. Even people who could live together harmoniously pre-collapse won't be able to do so post-collapse necessarily, so whilst having a team is important, the team might not gel well when things get spicy in a collapse kind of way. I suppose in a western society the vast majority of people might be considered untrustworthy, and yet trust is a necessary component of human society. Ironically, poorer third world societies are more resilient and internally coherent societies with higher levels of internal trust than western societies. Balkanisation doesn't necessarily help lighter skinned folks apart from concentrating the most suspect peoples in one location and painting a huge target on their backs for enemies foreign and domestic. I don't like to say the answer to this problem is God/Christ/insert-your-meme because by definition in an era like this, people like this are rare, and most humans are in opposition to God/Christ (with some individuals and groups more wicked than others). God/Christ/etc will save you(the elect or whatever). God/Christ/etc won't save you(everyone else). I'm sure some survivors will remain one way or another and they won't be doing well. Particularly in these western economic zones. Its why I've come to hate living in this era and wished I had moved elsewhere when I was less savvy to these things, mistakenly thinking people were rehabilitable. And I'm not claiming to be the most holy person either.
Try and squeeze in 30 minutes of exercise 3 times a week. Start off easy walking perhaps. Step it up to a jog. Then add some calisthenics and later on some weight training. Consistency is the key. Start slow. Intensity can come later.
At this point it’s hard to go about things normally and pursue relationships. And having kids right now seems impossible. Something is obviously about to happen. So it’s just myself. I don’t have the family to take care of. Sucks.
What's coming is whatever circumstances you may find yourself in (think about this) during a negative economic event. A full collapse like Zimbabwe's is unlikely as the US financial system has tools in place to prevent it - as were activated during the pandemic. However - again remembering the 'panic' and government 'reaction' during the pandemic - it may get much worse than that. Supply chain issues, job loss, fuel shortages, losing your home or vehicles, etc. The 2nd most likely negative event would be a massive cyberattack on our energy grid. The US has installed safety devices for such an event but they're always playing defense from behind. Seriously think about what you would need to do and have in the event these circumstances become real. For GOD sakes keep an eye on our fed-gov. They have a lot to do with what will happen. God Speed -
Community is good... but.. espionage, being something every branch is trained in and already emotionally comfortable with, in regards to its implications already in use on the communities of our country.. you're really not going to know who the snakes are unless things get real. Why is it that ex service members always fail to point this out?
first and foremost developing a relationship with the true living God Practice fire 🔥 skills , medical medic skills, first aid ⛑️ , understanding cartridges and there ballistics and limitations , hunting 🦌 skills , 12 volt systems solar collecting and storage , basic vehicle maintenance almost all mental learning and becoming mature in those skills not just physical preparation and logistics.
