GUYS OMG do you realize what this means? I have an idea; just let me riff here. A TF2 laser-tag arena. Valve can buy some cheap plot of land in the desert and build some lifesize TF2 maps. You pick your character and put on a character-specific laser receptor suit, and run around and have a good time. Imagine payload IRL.
I will not partake until there is greater punishment in laser tag for getting hit than just not being able to shoot for a while. Honestly, laser tag always frustrates me because it doesn't work very well. The rules are fuzzy enough. But, add on top of that the fact that it's hard to tell when you're hit or if you actually hit people, it just turns into a mess of people following each other around and shooting blindly. Now, if your suit suddenly becomes rigid and you're incapable of moving for some period of time, that would be cool. But then, they would have to do something with you to make it so that people don't just stand around you and wait for you to come back "online".

+Jude Pelaez Funny story, some kid in my school was a fucking tf2 fanatic. So much, sometimes he did stuff you'd do in the game without even knowing until he saw himself doing it. One day in the fucking halls he was turned a corner when he suddenly stopped at the corner and everybody was question what he was doing, and he, unknowingly, replied, "There is a sentry around the corner." He caught himself mid sentence and realized what the fuck he was saying. Few people actually knew what he meant, and started laughing at him.
They literally have only two or three developers actually programming new updates for that spaghetti storm of over 10 years of code, and their business model is actively preventing them from hiring new programmers, and even if they did get some new programmers, they would need to help teach them what's even going on in the games code. Also the last game they published was like Dota 2 or something, which is pretty old by now, so they HAVE to care about their existing titles because they are their only source of income.
well no, if valve dropped the games they would still be swimming in money, their games arent their source of income anymore, its steam, and thats probably why we dont get games anymore because valve are also working on hardware
That makes a TF2 sentry gun and an Appeture Science turret the only thing keeping us from stealing the valve and getting the Heavy update and/or Half Life 3
Man, the game is way too old. It´s iconic and still some fun to some point, but there are new things to try and to do than some good game from a decade ago.
