@@starshape6650 well, at least it's actually here. In Payback they didnt even bother to have the countersteering as a effect, which I would have taken over nothing. Got on my nerves a little.
PrinceNaim exactly. Never heard of a world record time set by a drift car in real life. This is the nfs I’ve been dreaming about since most wanted 2005.
idk why y'all are hating on vtec. vtec aren't the engines that ricers use with the crappy sound. vtec actually sound good. or do you guys hate sr20's too?
Dont like that engine sound. Sounds like it was recorded in a Pringles can. Also i dont think those rims are the factory rims. Those are American Racing wheels.
That's the "Metallic" slider part of the Exhaust Tuning. It's basically just echo, adding a little bit on some engines does give a little extra flare to it, but in throatier engines (like the Mustang's V8) it's way to noticeable. Yes, you are correct, those are the all-famous American Racing VN615 Torq Thrust Mk2. In Payback those were also it's stock wheels.
I just want to say that it is fully possible to slide with a grip car, look at F1 and other racing series where grip is everything, and yet they slide from time to time, that is just how atleast a rear wheel drive car handles
That was the worst thing about the last two games. I just wanted that, but either the car just didn't want to drift anymore or weirdly started to slide on its own, no matter how I set it up.
That is how I enjoyed my Skyline in Underground 2. Grip everywhere but only at the limits did it step out when I wanted enough to get around some spicy corners.
In carbon, some people said the suspension tuning is reversed (put understeer to be more oversteer, put oversteer to be more understeer). It make sense if you win it.
Another way to eliminate sliding while using full grip is to go to live tuning and turn on traction control. I saw Domestic Mango use a grip build of the the Testarossa and when he turned traction control on, the thing would not slide, it was just glued to the road.
Looks like none of the youtubers opened the live tuning menu and saw the "stability control" option. That thing will stop you from sliding no matter how hard you try, it even was in Payback and had the exact same effect back then.
Yes! You can spinn out while drifting and you can break traction in race! I am so glad to hear that. I was worried that grip would feel too much like you were driving a slot car or that it was understeer simulator.
I wouldn't say the grip build sliding under heavy throttle is really a bad thing. If you smash the throttle in a rwd car with a lot of power in real life it will probably oversteer even if it has sticky tires and track suspension. Especially a front engine car like the mustang, so that bit to me is leaning towards realism. Nevertheless, I'm still happy to see the new handling model and can not wait to play the game. Great content btw
@blackpanthaa thank you for making this video...Ive been wanting to see this side by side comparison on handling. Now i feel more confident in NFS Heat. I'm a big fan keep it up bro!!
That ending race in Nfs2015 where you race cross country with all the characters from the story was the closest thing to epic I've seen in a racing game. I would love for more of that. Story and characters should actually be an important part of nfs in my opinion
If you hop in a rwd car thats set up for grip only, cut the wheel and drop the clutch, it will still "drift" or at least break the back end loose. Something like an f1 car can easily spin out with slightly too much throttle or too little brake. but it still has crazy grippy tires and downforce
I like hooning around, drift and stuff - you know, it's fun. But I'm glad to see a good grip physics behaviour. I mean, it's really hard to drift in a way where you can get faster and as precise as a grip handling, but in the last games the grip vs drift handling just doesn't made sense. Now we can get it right, I suppose. I gonna hoon as hell in Palm City, of course, but I finally hope that I will feel good with a good grip car (like at TC2 hypercars).
I think what's cool about this is you can choose what parts you want to be drift or track or whatever, so its not set to be one type like you see in this video.
I absolutely LOVE the charger with speed cross susp and drift tires with speed Ross diff. Please give this bad baby a try in your videos! And make it green 😝
Drag Racing has to make a come back in this game, cars like the Ford Mustang 65 are the type of cars I could select only to build it up strictly for drag races, nothing else, it was my only drag car in Payback.
lol I don't know how you do it, but you're one of those guys that can make something very boring sound not only interesting but exciting xD. You're so funny. Subscribed
I am pretty new at nfs heat, and i dont know that much about cars but i went for the kind of "middle ground" as was said in this video. i put mostly track and on road parts in my car so far and its feels great to drive my 180sx
You do realize. That drifting is just a style it's not real racing. A car set up to race versus a car so that the drift is two different things. Any drifting car would get smoked in a regular track or street race
Blackpanthaa is happy about sliding and so am I maybe the cars might feel a little less stiff than before like I mean unrealism is cool but realism is a bit cooler when done in the right way without overdoing it good shit GHOST 😂
It's just physics, in real life it doesn't matter if you got glue on your tyres, if you go to a corner to quickly and turn with too much speed the car will lose traction bro Need for Speed nailed it
Yea exactly, i think these people think that all grip or all drift means the car will do all the work for you for some reason, no you need to be the smart person behind the wheel working with the car. They really did nail the grip very accurately.
Finally someone that compare three handlings with three times ! So Grip is way better than Drift, and the stock drive can not compete against full drift or full grip. That's some very good news in my opinion !!
It just looks like, Race, is tuning for Understeer, like stiffer springs in the front then back, then the normal front/rear ratio, and doing other things to create Understeer, more stable, but harder to turn. Choosing parts, that move the graph more towards Drift, is doing the opposite. Giving the the rear stiffer springs, more rear tire pressure for less grip, slower shock rebound so it will skip over tiny bumps, slightly higher ride height then the front so there's less weight on the rear, and other tuning tricks, to create Oversteer tendencies.
Did you get my tweet Mr pants about stealth tee coming in and thank you so much for stickers too. I’ll be wearing once heat goes live soon. Legend keep it up
Hey BlackPantha, kindly provide the below feedback to the developers: 1. Include more traffic on the roads. (An option to control traffic density) 2. Include Dyno tests.
Finally, a modern NFS I'll actually be challenged in... After the boredom that was Payback I was literally about to snap. Also seems like I owe Straightuphippo an apology...
I'm surprised that nobody does not comment on the "Grip cars should not slide" line. Track cars slide all the time, especially the high-powered ones. You need actual skill to keep them tame on the track, even F1 cars with all their mighty downforce. This makes NFS Heat unexpectedly realistic for an arcade racer with physics for the 90s.
The handling is better than the other games had,i mean its clearly a difference between drift and grip, which is good, cuz you now can make drift cars for drifting and race cars for grip,i mean i know there are other race types and settings but let's talk about the main two,so its either one or the other and you can't use a grip car on drifting events and vie-versa,and that is good, that difference is what missed from both Payback and specially from 2015,so yeah finally NFS has progressed,Ghost Games finally nailed the handlings a little, small touches and fine tunes and the handling will become even better
Yes. You go off line quicker. When you went showcase. Because it was road based. Meaning more road grip. So not really comparable to the stock. Shoulda done just mid way between off and on road
*2:09* This car with this sound from these exhausts, at around 6.000RPM and above, it reminds a maxed out Mustang GT from MW and also a Ford GT from MW too. I don't remember which other cars sound like those.
Kenneth Sev I mean I agree with everything about how the car sounds awful and typically he ruins cars but if you hate watching him then why......watch him
