Environment textures are looking low res on mobile, s23u is definitely capable of doing higher res textures. Sad that mobile games are going downhill with quality because midrange phones are not improving as much as the top end

Freaking truth. It's like the first time I've seen someone in the yt comments actually having common sense. This is the same with A9. That game was visually gorgeous with high resolution rendering at launch but was heavily downgraded and now we got a low resolution, ugly mess.

@@ray4493 Its all true because even the mid to higher end phones are using mediocre chips and they are all focusing on cameras, display etc. Even budget 300-400$ phones come with the same chip on 700-800$ phones. App developers cant improve the quality of the game much because only like 5% of the people use phones with the highest end chips right now and most phones that use prior gen chips cant handle that high res textures/graphics. Phone makers should prioritize the chips more but thats not going to happen as "gaming performance" oriented smartphones exist and the selling point of these phones are camera and such.

Mobile graphics have stayed the same for an entire decade if not longer. We have the capabilities of advanced graphics on mobile phones due to technology improvements.

Nope, there were no open world racing games on mobilr until very recently. Your phone isn't as powerful as a ps5 or ps4. And phone games have to take up less than 15gb. Of course it won't look as detailed.

@@thekangaroo1880evs simply would alienate a big chunk of players by making things too high end Take fortnite mobile ever since it got banned they've cared less about it and after the engine switch the games performance tanked to shit on mobile even though it's already optimized They simply don't have a large enough player base to make a full fledged game like that Games like genshin impact are stylized enough to look the same on pc and mobile but to have proper engine graphics Which I think is frostbite the ea engine used in battlefield It would simply be too daunting to do that Besides for a mobile game it looks good enough and for a beta all it really needs is functionality Games like car x street launched in a broken state and it still is

Actually mobiles are extremely powerful these days. Take S23U or iPhone 14 series or the powerhouse M1/M2 iPads. It's people's bitching about battery and heat forces devs to make ugly games. Heck even 8Gen 1 is extremely capable. It depends on the devs too. Grid Autosports, Alien Isolation, Wreckfest etc look phenomenal on a mobile device. Even the A12X in older iPad Pro is almost as powerful as a PS4 if used correctly.

Nice comparison! At which resolution the mobile version is running? I think it would be nice to compare the ipad version which runs at a higher resolution with the pc need for speed heat

Thanks Some of the graphics settings are still locked because the game is still in beta but I played it with Galaxy S23 Ultra at the highest settings.

in this video, all three cars in nfs mobile have the same engine sound, perhaps the most important minus of the beta, while in normal nfs heat they have their own sounds, muffled, ringing, and not in mobile, a high, sharp sound

Things that'd actually make the mobile version fun: A beautiful rain system. Rare to occur but gorgeous to look at. More traffic cars on the street. It was same with Heat. That's why everything looked so dead in Heat. Increased draw distance and shadow casting. Object popping is pathetic in 2023. A little more static reflective planes to make everything look actually good. Grid Autosports like optimisation. That game runs great as well as looks gorgeous on my S22U.

@@xeno1358That's the problem right? Phones are so capable and yet we are not moving ahead because the mid rangers and low end phones aren't moving ahead as fast as the top end ones. Top end phones are even capable of ray-tracing now and yet we don't get to push them to their max.
