Except there are no lower class cars? If they are they can still keep up. No body mods are on this game, performance upgrades will do next to nothing to keep it 'fair' and cop chases will be stupid because of the Criterion crashing.

But I want both. I want to earn them. So what? You want a game where you have completed it as soon as you buy it?

I played it at Eurogamer and am a HUGE fan of NFS. But it's about to die and I don't want that.

many people think that Underground was the first Need for speed. We need more people like you that actually know what they are talking about.

The actual list isn't out yet I'm afraid, not sure I can believe the list I said in the video until Ghost come out with one. Marcus told me all the cars are high class.

I can only have a body sticker, or a sticker that is text on the side. I can't move it, change it's colour or anything. Everyone will still look 90% the same as most of them will suck except the full body ones.

They don't need a story, but they are nice to have. They give a reason to play, my main complaint is there is no progression. No need to play recently.

I will never stop. I want the best NFS possible. A game where we start with little hatchbacks and earn the money to get and upgrade our exotics to the exact way we want. I want a reason to play. I want Need for Speed.

Not to start an argument, but Hot Pursuit 2010 sold less on every platform than Underground 2 on PS2 alone :p

My first NFS was Underground 2. But when I played High Stakes, I fell in love.

Yes. A majority of the 9 million units of Underground 2 were brought for the PS2. For Hot Pursuit, the units were sold just about evenly between PS3 and Xbox 360.

I think they are creating need for speed to a whole new level! I am a fan of the old need for speeds but you just have to work with the present! And in reality, I'm impressed in what I see in their new additions to the game. ;D congrats Criterion and Welcome, Ghost Games!

There is no car list and there have been no cars of lower class seen in gameplay. You upgrade your car by about 10mph at most, the story is very basic. Introduction and ending, personalise my car? Change the colour and wheel colour? Add a single sticker on the side I can't move? Yeah fantastic. We are really moving backwards now.

Looks great! I just hope they bring back customization like in the original Most Wanted game where you had to buy your vehicles and buy engines and visualities.

2nd the amount of customization in Underground 2 was mind blowing, i raced online a lot and never once did i see a car that looked anything like mine even when it was the same car :O, this let people feel individual and unique as opposed to lining up on the start line with everyone in the identical car. 3rd the nice amount of race modes, drag being my fave. They gave a variety in the experience as opposed to laps of the same circuit over and over. [cont]

Oh and those games sold REAAALLLLY well didn't they? Remember how the series declined after Underground, Most Wanted, Carbon etc? Yeah went so well. Stories aren't required but are nice, the main thing I want is a reason to play. I want to have to earn money to buy the expensive cars. The Run was fun but they didn't have long enough to develop it because EA planned to kick out Black Box and they had developed Skate 3 and NFS world around the same time. Undercover was better than recent ones.

It's really rewarding to finally buy a car you wanted since the first time looking through the shop. You end up spending a lot of time customizing too. Even though bodykits on a lambo are pretty out dated now. But I liked the customization in MW, even looking at it today. At least it's not as silly as in underground. And I guess 2010 HP was good. I was really excited at the time for NFS going back to it's roots, but I haven't played it in a long while. Better than the other new ones at least.

Yeah,the end has those lightnings that are similar to the intro of Need For Speed High Stakes! :P

I never payed anything while playing it and still had fun. It's really possible to get enough money to buy cars and other stuff. The only things for speedboost are the newest added cars and a wider selection of bodykits, rims, spoilers and such. Maybe some other exclusive things too. Actually, you get rims, window tints, lowering kits, neons, etc. by either speedboost or after finishing races by lucky draw. Which you get quite often. Also performance upgrades are lucky draw only.

Yep, I remember playing HP with my father on an old PC on split screen. Good times. But I recently installed it and it's just.. nostalgic, but not as fun as I remember. Guess I need someone to play it with. It's not really the story in MW, but the progress you have to go through. You start with a simple car, do some races, upgrade it, then start saving for a better one while taking down the blacklist people that have enough story for you to feel like beating them. Hot pursuit was before Underground.. Just because Underground games were the first NFS games you played it doesn't mean that they were the first.

NFS Rival is technically Underground 3 because personalization is back, Hot Pursuit 4 because of the weapons and you can be a cop and a racer , and Most Wanted 3 because of a similar open world.
