+Pucadupr well need for speed had the cooperation of speed hunters to help their game. with a big car enthusiast group like, they are sure to be picky with something as important as engine sound, we car guys do love a good exhaust note after all.
It takes more time because you have to model the interior of every single car that you have. All with more detail because it is in the foreground to everything else. in the interest of time, the developers will not put in a cockpit view because it isn't vital to the gameplay.
Fanboys be like.. NFS Fanboy: The crew looks shit, engine sounds like a rice, Get boring too fast after exploring the world. The Crew Fanboy: lol, nfs dont have cockpit view , no day and night cycle, road always wet and map too small. I'm getting tired of hearing this.
+Porter Burkett This isn't true in the least. No matter what you change, the cars still drive on rails. You basically have a drift button and that's definitely not how slip angle works...
+Kyle “SlowSupra” B that's really not true have you even tried tuning in this game? Every little adjustment actually makes a difference. If it doesn't for you, then I'm sorry, you must be doing it wrong.
+Porter Burkett I can agree that the tuning does help improve your cars handling, but overall the game physics are terrible. Driving at lower speeds is a complete nightmare. Drifting and turning response could be a lot better. I'm not saying the game is shit, just the physics imo.
+Michael Smith do I need to say that NFS is an ARCADE game? If you want realistic driving, go for a simulator mate. But actually I like the NFS physics overall, and in the new NFS you can tune your car handling the way you like it, every thing you change will make a difference!
+Scarlo and the tiny map, the lack of tuning parts, the lack of vehicles, the lack of content, the lack of community fun, no bikes, and everything looks exactly the same^^ But at least its lokking good when your driving alone through the night^^
NY to LA = 50 miles.... Yeah... Big. Open. REALISTIC. World... --' :p I remind you that Skyrim was tall like Australia and he turned on PS3 and 360 And cars are not really handy... No joke, i feels like driving a truck with my Ford Mustang Gt 500 lol
+Grumpy Gamer Yes, if you have The Crew you will automatically get the graphics update for free, its included in the latest patch. You can then choose to buy the Wild Run expansion, which has lots of new events including Monster Trucks, Bikes, Drag/Drift cars.
+s kootstra sort of right except on the price. The $40 tag is for the crew with the Wild run expansion included. If you already have the base game, it is only $25 to upgrade and get all the new stuff. (At least for PC, I have no idea how it works on console, but that would be shitty if it cost that much more).
Wild Run has over 6000 miles of open road, over 30 cities, nfs has a dead always raining rendition of Los angeles, wild run has LA with more traffic, pedestrians, and I can leave LA and go anywhere I want. that's a win in my book, especially cockpit view and manual. plus graphics that great in a world that damn big.
+disracenboi336 and then you all are comparing a game that came out for at least a year with a six year development time, to a game that only had 1 year of development time (It is actually NOT 2 years of dev time because the Ghost Studio was in reconstruction and they couldn't make a game during that time so they delayed the game)
+NuclearTeles Channel I played NFS for about a month now and I'm already bored of it. I was waiting for the crew wild run because sometimes I just wanna cruise around. think its time to buy the crew wild run :)
Need for speed has better graphics and better sounds. There's no judge in that. Calling shots like "oh but crew has daylight" Well who the fuck cares? It's still uglier then NFS. Period. Where crew dominates NFS is the map... It's a god dam US. Well its a small version of US but still you have lots of cities to drive through. They both have advantages... The one is uglier but broader the other is smaller but much much more beautiful. I don't know how the gameplay feels like because i'm PC only guy and waiting for NFS to be released on PC. Till then i can't comment about gameplay but i must say the crew driving feels kind of wonky.
drake doucet fuck forza and fuck console exclusives is all i have to say tho even if it wasn't console exclusive i wouldn't play it because it simply sucks.
drake doucet Yeah insane amount of cars with 80% of them being DLC fragments which you have to buy. Also it really doesn't have the best graphics. It's xbone for christ sakes xbone doesn't have great graphics. It has solid graphics i agree on that but best? Not even close.
Yeah but how big is the Need For Speed road? Can you drive monster trucks, bikes, and drive in the grand canyon? Can you go to the most famous cities in america? Can you go off-roading? Yeah thats right bitch.
I Love The Crew its not your average arcade racer lile nfs, i mean like, i love nfs 2015 too, but think abt it,its SO Similar to older nfs games. Sorry nfs fans im not hating
I have both, while nfs is a beautiful attempt at reviving the past it feels empty compared to the crew. That is the only thing the crew has over nfs as well as the map, nfs dominates in everything else. Both still great games in their own right
Need For Speed 2015 is the clean winner here the graphics realism, Speed effect, style effect, customization ,Crew racing and outlaw (all icons) are best in Nfs 2015. The graphics in Crew looks like Cartoon to be honest it just has an good open world but to be honest Need For Speed 2015 is the clear winner here!!!
The only bad thing with the crew is the draw distance and some bugs... But if you ask me The crew is better because we have more cars and customization.
Master Epic but the graphics really sucked ass tbh... And the sounds were horrible, but the sounds in NFS was pretty much like a vacuum cleaner too, driveclub FTW
Honestly, I like both, but my money is on The Crew. Yes, it doesn't have the eye candy of NFS, and the sounds do actually suck compared to NFS, but it excels in that open-world aspect and the Wild Run update has improved the graphics and also the handling. Furthermore, they added monster trucks and dragsters (albeit as DLC), so you can have some more fun. If you don't want to spend money, they also added some new cars and some more PvP stuff and other goodies for all players. But really, while I like both, I personally prefer The Crew mainly due to that open-world aspect. And I have a game. Hit me up if you play the game on PC. UPlay: D13H4RD2L1V3 I'll be driving a performance spec Subaru BRZ.
Hey all. For anyone interested in seeing the graphical differences between The Crew (Old) and The Crew: Wild Run (New) on PS4, check out my latest video on the Racing Video Games channel!
Need for speed ? - no day time - it's ok if you lose the race - stupid AI - you can finish the game without upgrading your car - small map - only 50 ( i think ) car - ghost city - the same buildings in the city - no special places to visit But that dosen't mean the crew is better , it's worse ! Let's wait gran torismo and see ,,
How you going to compare a simulator to an arcade racer you idiot 1. Ghost city? Well obvi its night time you idiot not much people drive at night and makes racing funner without recking into stupid traffic 2. AI are being updated to be better 3 51 cars actually and thats because of all the customization parts are fot every car and more cars will come soon in dlc 4 map to small.... Map dlc expansion 5 no special places to visit..... Ugh you have no friends or your a complete idiot
Need For Speed has some crazy insane tuning features but the crew has a huge map and you are able to go off road Need For Speed is more for street cars
Crew Fanboy: Need for speed map is small, no cockpit view, no landmarks, less cars NFS Fanboy:....were saying the truth..the cars sound like vacuum cleaners....
but the crew is making shitty map it just big size but map is shit nfs map is good better graphic and superrealisc of map but it small i know it the crew not have police!!!!! Nfs not have daytime i know it real but i like it and if racing on daytime car is so many!!!! You crash the car!!!!!! More police you are like this? Use you mind and think ok?
+Matt Cole Funny you say that because it's not true at all. Look at the timestamps in the description for example, every situation is the same length give or take 1 second. (Except for The Crew with the Mustang, because I decided to add some extra cockpit view gameplay of that)
Just to be brief about the graphics: The Crew has an IMENSELY HUGE world that has absolutely NO LOADING TIMES when you go from region to region, while NFS has an area that is just a fraction of the world of the Crew. THE SIZE OF THE WORLD DOES NOT MAKE THE GAME BETTER OR NOT, however, making an imensely huge map look beautiful is A LOT harder than making a relatively small map look beautiful. (And if the world was as beautiful as the one from NFS, it would very probably require to be loaded from region to region, not to say that the size of the game would be HUGE [I mean size like in GB, not physical size]) Just an extra: Even though it does not seem to make sense, games usually look more beautiful during (in-game) night, as lights are then accentuated by the darkness of the environment, there is not much need for reflections, nor too much color nor to do a sun that affects the player (i.e. "blinds" you when you look at it or influences the shadow of your cars) and some other stuff. So considering the effort put on the graphics, in MY OPINION, the Crew wins. Honestly, I abandoned NFS after Carbon (although I played a little bit of Undercover). I don't know why I just dont have as much fun on the modern NFSs and for some reason I got a heck ton of fun on The Crew (I am still considering buying this new NFS). THAT'S WHAT MATTERS: FUN! The game may look great and always receive great reviews, but if you do not have FUN playing it, what is the point of playing it at all??? Peace! :)
Although I'm a The Crew player, I have to admit NFS looks more photorealistic. The reason I chose The Crew over NFS is the giant fucken world and the customization available.
ZeroByte Customisation is way better than in The Crew. I play both games and I love both games but Nfs has better tuning (parts, optical tuning, engine tuning,...). You can make designs and share them with others and so on. But I think The Crews Map is cooler and also the feeling.
This coming from a person who has both and has been raving for months about the Crew: NFS killed it. Even with Wild Run, the motorcycles in WildRun feel so disengaging... but I'll still give it a try. After all, I spent real money on in-game stuff in The Crew. Funny that, because I haven't spent anything on NFS. Another thing is that NFS has this music that I just CAN'T get out of my head. Sure, so did the Crew at the beginning, but once I downloaded the music -- which I also shelled out for -- it got old fast. I'm not downloading the ones from NFS in hopes that it'll keep playing in my head at work -- which compels me to want to rush home after my shift so that I can get onto my PS4 for NFS. I don't hate the Crew... it's a different game, love the dynamic night/day and the map... but the rain on the ground looks like a hot mess.
40% of here are idiots they say the better game because they only have it -.- 30% in here to choose what to buy tc or nfs? 5% of here are making fun of each other 5% are scoring the games That's the comment section only tells about -.- Who cares XD
Ive never played both so im not being biased - NFS obviously have better graphics. Every droplet of rain on the window can be seen, and the lighting is just so damn crisp and perfect. But then again, graphics isn't everything.
Forza was never only online. The Crew is forced to do that due to map size and how it's always requesting data off the servers to feed the map continuation. Need for Speed was made always online to try and break piracy, but EA are fucking idiots and ruined the entire game so no one wants to steal it anyways.
One thing thats driving me nuts is 2:40 - HOW CAN THERE BE RAIN (even if its light rain) WITHOUT A CLOUDY SKY?!?!?! I know that its possible, that there can be rain sometimes on a sunny day with a few clouds, but that is just SOOO UNREALISTIC. I LOVE The Crew, everything about it! But PLEASE make the friggin sky cloudy when its raining.. wtf...
i have both and i like the customization in need for speed but the raining most the time gets kinda boring real fast. i like the crew just for the open world.
+Stone2D3D Played the NFS beta and found so many flaws with it which is why i chosed the crew wild run over NFS. Dead open world, no manual transmission, lack of visual customization on some cars, no weight reduction to make them faster, have to drift around every freaking corner, constantly raining, no day and night cycle, very disappointed with it.
if need for speed is way better then why dosent it have a camera inside the vehicle as the crew wild run has alot of camera options tbh my opinion on this vid thats best is the crew wild run. need for speed is a joke and not very realistic
Wasim i couldnt agree more and you can have massive long stretch of roads to max your cars top speeds and test them out and also alot of tuning and aftermarketing on most cars you dont need nfs its really bad and if it was good they shouldve added more to the map and had a first person camera view of the inside of the car and the crew wild run and nfs will be a tie but im with the crew wild run here as its more popular like the whole entire USA as a map ;)
+wasim ... u gotta be fucking kidding me... the crew looks better???.... that game looks like utter shit nfs on low looks better then the crew on ultra
+Liudas Pocius tbh with you need for speed was nothing the speed compared to the crew is nothing realistic and it's like trying to hit top speed whilst everything goes by like your doing 50mph at 200mph in a supercar but the crew is more better as the faster you go the more effects at high speed you'll realise the difference
The Crew da best!... look at that tiny map of Need for speed xD so less activities! and the car sounds is way to softy! maybe the graphics are a bit more sharper but thats THE final! no reason to play Need for speed (only if u want to know how the gameplay is thats all) ALL MY OPINION SOOO... Know ur terms!
The Crew on the Xbox One and PS4 looked like a last gen game, it had shocking graphics, but played decent. The latest version can be picked up new for £20 on the Xbox One and PS4. At full price (around £50), it's not worth it. Ubisoft games always seem to drop in prie pretty quick. The lastes Creed can be picked up for £25. Anyone who's not played The Crew, it's worth picking up the latest release for £20 or under.
you know the crew still gonna lose with the grapich and the sound cause you all know if Nfs Dev have been making a race game since 2007 i think.....xD anyway the feuture the crew still win that cause nfs idk , thats my opinion
so many people are focusing on the graphics comparision of the 2 games... a game should not be judged on how good it looks, but also on if its fun! in my opinion, the crew has way more content, a lot more to do, and more reasons to return to it. after beating nfs, what do you do afterwards? yea im sure there are alternate endings, but will you want to do the same things just to get a few different endings? the crew has so much to do even after finishing the story, and has multiplayer! and you dont need to have online connection to boot up the crew at least.....
Gonna have to go with the crew by far. The crew is a much bigger and more diverse game. 1.Much bigger world with a wide variety of terrain and sights. You can take virtual road trips in it pretty much. 2.Cockpit view 3.Different types of races and can change the spec of a vehicle for that type of race. You have 2 types of off road racing, 2 types of street racing and circuit racing and with the expansion it has added bikes, monster trucks, drag cars and drift cars. 4.PVP lobbies 5.Endgame content is plentiful 6.Day time :) 7.manual shifting ( if you are into that) That's why I vastly prefer the crew over NFS. I own both games.
LOL haven't you been to the harbor? You can drive offroad and in back alleys and in between houses and in industrial area which actually HAS NO ROAD SO SHUT THE FUCK UP BITCH
+TrophyT_RC I'm a fanboy of Need For Speed since I was 5 but that's not the reason I said that! I said that cuz he was talking some stupid talk about open world LOL I was just saying that to let him know that he shouldn't judge before playing :)
you're a kid or something? and yes you are right it is a bit of free space but is very very small space compare to TC :) very good option is don't compare nfs and TC ^^ litle bit of shitstorm less :) btw my english is bad :/ You must forgive me that :)
+Ded Red I'm actually 16 now mate... And yes we shouldn't actually compare them cuz Need For Speed is more like a story-based game while The Crew is meant to be be played to have fun and wonder around so pretty much TC will have a bigger map but there is no need for hate towards any of them. By the way I didn't insult TC in anyway in any of my comments so if anyone says I'm a fanboy, I'mma kill 'em cuz I actually like TC
The Crew wild run is as good because it's gives you very good gameplay with excellent graphics and effects and first person which need for speed doesn't have I play both though
i hahe crew but something isnt right with this game ...i like it but something is wrong....nfs has very good graphics but its crap cause you have to buy plus to play it (its only multiplayer)so if someone hasnt got plus he cant play it
the crew has the worst engine sounds possible, right next to test drive unlimited 2. is it that hard to create proper engine profiles like really??? its next gen and still these stupid problems exist.
I own both games, but for me the crew is the worst racing game. the car sounds are awfull, the way the cars control is weird AF and it has worst graphics than nfs.
I think everything else is fine in the video man, but The last one about the damage the need for speed the Aventador hit that concrete pillar quite hard but yet, it had hardly any damage maybe a few scrapes in the dent or two but The Aventador in the crew only had a few bushes and maybe a tree and I had a lot of dents in the window was even cracked.
I bought the crew wild run a week ago and i think i done right choice to buy the crew wild run but i was confuse what to buy crew wd or nfs 2015 but i bought the crew wr so i played it 30 min and the graphics handling rain damage was insane and coooooooooool
Massive upgrade in the graphics, unfortunately it also came with numerous other bugs for the game. It also bumped up the system requirements so that people who used to play the game just fine now have issues or cannot play it at all unfortunately. Since the graphical update was added onto the base game, even if you didn't buy the new expansion, you are forced ot use the updates which has angered a lot of players.
Come on, Crew has cockpit view, big maps nd rivers also nd the damage is more realistic nd the real fact is that it doesn't stuck at only one time(night) which makes it better than NFS
the very first impression from the video : the NFS has much better and authentic sounds. haven't played either yet but this video surely tips the hat for NFS
okay came across this and am really pissed off. the crews update for graphics changed the way every paint job looked making them all nearly the same no matter what finish and in built up city i now get massive lag (WTF) this is on ps4 - no haters please i have a good pc as well just racing games should be better on console - the engine sounds are the same for most cars and also just sound plain wrong as well as random pitch changes for the revs. you will only know what i mean if you have heard it for ex at 5000 rpm in street skyline it can sound like higher or lower revs, hard to explain. the cars also handle like complete shit (i went into GAME and the salesman said it handles like a heavy wardrobe on trolley wheels XD. dont get me wrong i like the game and will be purchasing the new expansion whatever its called cant remember atm, but has nothing on nfs. nfs has stunning graphics way better handling and much nicer engine sounds. only issues i have with nfs are 1 wtf is up with there being no daytime, i mean come on really!? and 2 why oh why does it have to be online much like rivals, not only does this screw over singleplayer lovers with no internet but if you have a very slow connection (AKA me down of about 0.1-0.3 XD) it shares my much hated 'nitro lag' with rivals. for example i hit the nitrous when needed but no it gives it to me 3 seconds later when im going round a bend hitting the brakes to avoid oncoming. nfs mw on ps3 is the best one of the newer nfs shame it wasnt quite burnout paradise 2 but it was close enough ;) sorry for the rant here have a potato --> O
Need for speed has some really beautiful graphics, but I can run the crew at high settings with a 50€ gpu, so if you don't have a powerful pc you can enjoy the crew anyways, I can't tell for nfs too, playing it at medium settings won't be worth the price I think
Hello! I am interrested in buying one of these games, and i really can't decide which game is better than the other. Can you help me, i am not willing to pay for a game that will get boring very fast, and i want some fun while playing with friends. Please help me ;)
All these forza 6 comments. The game and your system is trash. Moving on. I played the crew, also NFS. My daughter came into my room while I was playing The Crew and she said "Cool racing game dad". I bought NFS a week after release. She came into my room and said " What channel is that movie on?". Even a 7 year old can tell the difference.
The Crew is a great game I can't choose between NFS or The Crew but I without a doubt play The Crew alot more often then NFS... The Crew is a game where you could just play for hours on end but Need For Speed is more of a game I would play for the completion of the campaign and collectibles side of things... The trailer for NFS when it first came out was amazing BUT they hype up the game a bit too much? especially with the customisations of the cars.. Majority of the cars have body kits too big for the car of the spoilers are bigger than a fucking ladder but on The Crew... That is the true meaning of unlimited customisation on any car you choose... The Crew may not have as good graphics but they're not the worst I enjoy the graphics of The Crew and NFS. I enjoy both games but if I had to choose I would definitly choose The Crew everytime why? Because it's explorable everything changes each time you visit a different location, the graphics are stunning, not the best graphics but great
I am getting a more serious feel from Need for Speed. I can't help but think that the handling is more forgiving, but the areas are more prone to being tight and cramped, making people have more awareness. The Crew does look like it has more of a learning curve to it, which is interesting to me personally. The handling looks like it can be able to bite back if not done right, but then again, I am making this judgement probably from the wet conditions.
4:05 thats crew for you guys. a piece of crap game.. it honestly looks and feels like an iphone app. might as well spend 3 damn dollars on driving simulator on the app store rather than crap crew. but ooooh it has a big map. gta is for exploring a big map driving super and off roading cars.not a racing game. i dont care about exploring diffrent cities. i care about getting to the finish line with good physics and thats pleasant to look at, thats why i like nfs 2015. and the customization in nfs is amazing also. i want my own unique car.
+Alek Mcdowell NFS made some strange gameplay choices. Only able to have 3 cars in your garage is strange. The always night mode I can understand why they did it but it should be an option to turn it off. The no cockpit view is a bit disappointing. Again I can understand why but it should be in the game. I would always like it if they made it possible to have private games so others cannot ruin your game. I own both The Crew and Need for speed rivals how also made this game. I enjoyed Rivals even though it can be a bit buggy on the pc. I have enjoyed The crew. Las Vegas you can actually drive by the Luxor hotel. Its the pyramid hotel. Fun but yeah not the best graphics.
Alright, some people have not fully compared everything into deciding into what game to buy.So let's look at the pros of NFS. -Beautiful Graphics -Amazing Car Customization Options -Extreme Engine and Background Sounds -Epic Theme Song -New Cars(Like Lamborghini Huracan) -Gymkhana Courses, along with other Courses. Now the pros of The Crew,Wild Run -Open World -Professional Physics -Car+Mid Air=Awesome -Realistic Locations -6000 Kilometers Of Road -Day/Night Cycle Now the cons of NFS. -No Day/Night Cycle -Expensive -Only Around 40-60 Cars -Always Wet Roads -No Offroading -The Cop Car In The Second Clip Of The Outlaw FW2P NFS Trailer Sounds Like An Ambulance. Now for The Crew Cons. -High Pitched Engine Sounds -Cockpit View Needs Improvement(Gran Turismo Wins That One too.) -AI Traffic -Dirt And Damage Physics -Graphics(not all areas) -Sound And Audio Please take the time to look at these features if you're about to buy one of the games.Look at the features and take the time to decide which ones you care about,I hope this helped. Also, with the Cons,I'm not trying to be offensive in any way,It's just what I see from game play and trailers.
I don't get what you mean by NFS being "expensive"? But anyways, The Crew also has ridiculously priced cars and tunes/setups, maybe not all but still. Screw Ubisoft, they have done nothing but shit for these years I just hope The Division and Ghost Recon Wildlands do what I expect.
+Brian Pinzaru I don't agree with the "No Day/Night Cycle" this new NFS was made to bring back the nostalgia of Underground 2 and Carbon, but both of those games were set in night only! And that's why this game is in night too!
