depending on how old you are, not even made yet. speedflexes were first made in 2014. Im 18, freshman in college and even my youth years were before speedflexes were made.

It’s not always on a parent. We forget kids are human as well. They have their own emotions and feelings. At some point, even as a child, you have to learn self control. Whooping them is not always teaching a lesson. Remember that.

This is the referee literally not doing his job. It’s unsportsmanlike conduct on green for stepping over him (taunting)… it’s the coaches job to pull the kid aside and talk to him. Sports prepare you for life. In life you shouldn’t be taught it’s okay to break rules with zero consequence.

@@josephmother2659 idk if I really have to explain to that throwing a flag teaches the same lesson without teaching them there aren’t repercussions for bad behavior. Kids don’t need to be coddled. Rules and penalties exist for a reason. The problem with our society is too many kids are raised by people like you who think making them feel good is better for them than teaching them right from wrong and tough lessons like breaking rules has consequences.

Now that's a great referee. Bringing sportsmanship back in the game. Technically the block was all sound but when the offensive receiver stood over him that's when the referee stepped in instead of just throwing a unsportsmanlike penalty on him he was trying to teach him a lesson in sportsmanship great job ref

Awesome job by the official! As a HS football coach of 19 years, I want to say a general THANK YOU to all officials for taking on what is often a thankless job - even though officiating should be more revered. Also, I hope #2 keeps blocking like that and then learns to help his opponent up after the whistle. Finally, I hope my WR’s block with tenacity & ferocity during the play and then act with class & respectability, again, after the whistle.
