Thank you for joining me in part two of my Valais blacknose tutorial!💜
Both the adult sheep and lambs are created following this method.
Make your sheep as chunky or as slim as you like, or experiment and create multiple!🤭
Remember to have fun and I hope you'll join me again in part 3 💜

You really have a knack for making shapes and using them to form the sheep. For examples, the triangles to finish out the back legs. Fantastic! Well done

Thank you so much for sharing this. It's very generous of you.Ive learned loads of new techniques for building up the body shape and legs. Im in the middle of making a fox with armature and will transfer some of this to that. I'll then go on to try your sheep. Thanks again 😊

Top tip, when working with black wool, use a felt sheet in a lighter shade so people can see what you’re working on. you can buy a large multi pack in various colours, then the used bit of felt can be used as a background in a 2D landscape picture because it will be covered over. also it keeps nice clean light coloured felting mats free from blacks and browns, hope this helps! love watching you create. where are you from? your accent is familiar. 😊 😊

Oo thank you, I never thought of this! My usual felting mat is a pure wool, lighter coloured one but it's seen better days 😅 ..hence using the foam mat in videos 🙈. But I'll definitely keep this in mind for future!💜 I'm currently living I'm Lincolnshire but originally from Doncaster 🤭

@@fuzziefiberart I kind of thought you were a Yorkshire Lass, I have relatives in Lincolnshire, about 9 miles from Boston or skeggy depending on the way you go. Take care, I’ll look forward to all your future videos. Keep up the great work you are putting out there. 🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

What needle number and shape are you using for felting the core wool. What type of core wool are you using? Thank you in advance.

Hello! In this video I'm using a 38 gauge star needle. I also often use a 36 gauge triangular for core wool too 😊. The core wool is mixed breed slivers from simplyfelting.co.uk 💜

I enjoy your videos. Unfortunately, I cannot see what you did for the face. The dark matt made it impossible to see. The black face of the Valaise is really hard to know if you get it right.

Hi Karen, I'm really glad you enjoy my videos!💜 My apologies, I understand that it is quite difficult to see with darker wool. (I'll be creating a new (lighter coloured) mat soon for future videos :). If its any help at all, the head is made in pretty much the same way as the mouse in my previous tutorial- with just a slight difference to the nose. The head may look a little slim at this point but don't worry, more wool and curls get added which really fill out the face 😃. (This will be shown in part-3 🥰)

You deserve so many more subscribers than you’ve got, you really do teach well, it’s easy to understand and no boring bits of just stabbing the needle into a project, you fast forward it, that’s what i would do if i had the nerve to do any felting videos. you are amazing. thanks for sharing. 😊
