Hello, thank you for the great video. I am practising my first bunny at the moment. I make it a little smaller than shown in the video and have problems with the legs. The legs don't get as tight as they should. I tie the wool tightly around the stick, as soon as I pull the leg off it is very soft. When I roll it between my hands it gets longer and even softer. Is this perhaps due to the wool? I am using carded wool band and it is quite soft white wool. It felts quickly but I have problems with the legs. Thank you for any feedback and help. Sincerely Ingrid

You need to make sure you felt it well around the stick before removing it. A coarser wool will felt quickly, whereas a softer wool will take more time. Ot is important not to twist the wool as you wrap it (make sure it is flat) and overlap the wool as you work your way up the stick. Make sure you wrap a few layers around the BBQ skewer. Are you using a BBQ skewer or chopstick size? 😊

@@thefelthub I've got it! Tried and tried and also tried it with coarser wool I have just recevied today! I still have the problem with the size of the legs and head, but getting better :-) Thank you very much for all the videos. they are so great! I use BBQ skewer.... hmmm, would chopstick be better for this project?

@@perlensinneperlensinne79Wooden BBQ skewer is definitely better as a chopstick leaves a bigger gap in the centre. My top tip is to start with less than you need and build it up. It is really just practice, and technique so just have patience with yourself. This isn't the easiest of projects but you will learn so much whilst doing it; what works, what doesn't. You can email me a photo if you want me to have a look. What wool are you using? info@lincolnshirefenncrafts.com ☺
