I leave and back a few time for Manly before becoming fully loyal, but no matter how long it is, his quality has always been amazing.

To my understanding, that's pretty much the best way to gain a following for small creators. There's so much non-niche content out there already and more than likely you're not going to match that quality when you're just starting out. So the trick is to find a niche with an untapped audience.

Some musics distract you, some just make you hard to concentrate, and some help you mellow or concentrate. Thinking back to ace attorney and this is the police, these games’ music helps you enjoy the game. This game’s music is either boring or irritating if you keep listening to it. Music is also a subtle yet impactful way to deliver emotions, and the game could’ve make use of more music to represent different states of mind. I’ve completed all achievements for this game and most of the time I muted the music so I might’ve missed some good tracks but the music is quite unbearable here.

@@wassupwo unfortunately when it comes to streaming that's very difficult to do. Often times it's either you get the really chill fandom who will be fine with supporting in whatever endevors you take, or you just get the obsessed fandom who wants content content content and either don't consider or don't care about the person behind the content and how they feel and their own personally needs. It's rare to get a fandom inbetween and often it's temporary when it does. So a lot of streamers and even people just making videos (such as manly here) will often get incredibly stressed feeling like they owe it to pump out more and more and more even if they feel exhausted and burnt out since they know they run a high risk of losing a large chunk of their audience just by being gone merely a week nevermind more for personal reasons which is scary when you spend months or years only to see half or more disappear practically over night just because you need a small break for yourself...

@@Aeririn A lot of streamers I'm subscribed to make it a point to heavily police their fanbase because of this. Like, you're cool to come in and chill and hang out, but I've seen one streamer I'm subbed to pause the game in order to: A. Ban someone for being a shitlord And B. Firmly warn the rest of his chat against also being shitlords. These guys also have a bunch of mods to handle things for them so that they're not spending the whole stream cracking down on idiots. It's a bummer to have to be so heavy-handed with your own viewers, but like you said, you run the risk of getting a bunch of pricks with no respect for your own humanity otherwise.

I was already enjoying the animation, but you're right Vixen. It must have taken a lot of effort to make it this smooth, while making it look like pixel art. Also must have taken a lot of effort to keep it cute and adorable.

@@Justacheese This game really took a lot of effort. It confuses me how they can wire 20+ different endings and how each little interaction could possibly change what ending you get.

I ended up watching a vid explaining how the code worked in a game called "Day of dragons" The program that was being showcased in the vid, displayed everything in neat little easy to understand boxes. And every single box had lines connecting to each other. Just like a family tree really. By the way. the code itself would detect changes in numbers. So if someone's health dropped to 0 they would die. Basic stuff. I have a feeling a lot of endings in this game are chosen based on how much mental darkness, love and stress the main character has. Hopefully I was able to explain all of that without confusing the heck out of you.

@@Justacheese Oh I understand that basic stat stuff. Most of the endings are affected by that. It's just mind boggling how every comment and interaction was thought about. If you play Genshin, you know what I mean. Genshin usually has 2 options when you have the chance to speak, either one of them doesn't change the flow of conversation, they'll probably say one more unique line but that's it. This game however doesn't have that feel. It feels like your choice has heavier value.

@Zeforas Markiplier was my first subscribe, and that was back when he only about 15,000 or so subs lol I've been subscribed to Manly for about 5 years or so. It's great to be part of the growth of a loving and supportive community.

at least in the end he's enjoying himself while making content for others, its inspiring because it shows he's not rushing to be big and doesnt go for popular trends, it may seem he's restricted to horror games as its mainly his channel he has broken this before so it really shows that he's doing it not just for others entertainment but himself aswell and that may sound bad but it does show he puts his trust in those who watch him.

Doesnt seem too good of an idea, making a little persona, even if its only a fairly small change, can probably help make it feel like comments are directed at your persona rather than you, plus its the truth, probably.

From the very start I felt uncomfortable with the chick. She doesn't nees to be a streamer, she needs a psychiatrist. Clearly the character is suppose to portray somebody whose mental state isn't very healthy, signs of depression, low self-esteem, dependence on the so called P-chan. The streaming is the outlet for these things and is used as a way for her to get the attention and praise she desperately needs as a way to reassure her worth. But at the same time it stresses her out a lot. Definitely one way to bring to light topics of the ever popular streamer/vtuber culture these days

No way, this game has a serious feel to it. At least to me, I mean even from the start it is made clear that the chick isn't streaming for a healthy reason. It's a critique of the duality of the online persona and real life streamer. The split is hella visceral. Honestly this seems to be an overral critique of how trying to use fame and outside approval to fill your lack of confidence will just lead to more problems in the long run as you refuse to face them outright.

Found it quite disappointing though. Was recommended to me by Steam as being "like" Doki Doki, and with that mindset getting into it I was disappointed with how tame it actually is. Sure it has it's weird moments, especially when you begin to use certain substances, but in the end it really doesn't warrant the long warning paragraph at the very start the game gives you.

A game with ***** as option and all the consequences you get for sticking to bad options, it will be weirder to not have the long warning paragraph at the start of the game. While the game is not as glitchy and selfconscious as Doki Doki, it still touch many nasty stuff that do happen in real life.
