Comparing this new LED lighting kit to some older Square Perfect softboxes I've had for 10 years. See the Neewer LED lighting kit on Amazon here: amzn.to/2LudlRT
Finally a useful video on lights!! You are spot on man, showed me what I needed to know about these lights! really great way to demo them. No fuss, not strange set ups, or lots of pre/talk, just direct comparisons! More video channels need to be like yours.
finally found an actual review showing the usability of the brightness in a room. took me forever cycling through all these other RU-vidrs showing what the light looks like (the least important part) also got to another RU-vidr who compared brightness pointing the light to a wall and filming that, well yeah that was helpful, didn't really want to know about the spread of the light. doesn't really matter when using barn doors, or reflecting the light. then I came across this video which shows the power in a small room. a lot better than the others.
Thanks for this review man. Been looking for an actual demonstration of exposure for these. They're so small. I didn't really think they could output that much light.
Thanks for this. I've been debating whether or not to move onto led panel from softbox and you helped me make My decision. I think that I will be investing in the Neewer kit.
Thank you for the informative video. I'm deciding between the two. Which would be apt for recording art videos on the desk with minimal shadow? Would one need two led lights vs softbox?
if he wasn't using the diffuser on the LED's that would be why. The softbox on the other one is diffusing the light more not making the light as harsh. Had he taken the diffuser off the "old ones" the light would have been a much harsher light and created more shadows.
Thanks for the review! It's helpful. Could you please say how far, approx how many feet, were you standing from the neewer led lights when you show a sample of it's lighting, towards the end of video?
Thanks for the info 👍 I’m most definitely going to order these for my channel. Man this video hobby has been expensive. It started with the $1,200 drone, then led to cameras, microphones, lens and now lights? Hopefully this all pays off 🤔
autobotsNdecepticons yeah I have the gvm 480 kit, and it’s absolutely incredible for the money. The soft filters or diffusers do a decent job at softening the light, but to be totally honest it just isn’t as soft as a soft box. But the led lights are infinitely more versatile
