Great video, thanks. Enabled me to remove & check mine. Ordered a new catch online (£34.97) which arrived in 2 days airmail from Germany. Fitted, adjusted and now perfect. Saved me calling an engineer for what turned out to be an easy task as opposed to impossible to work out!

Another challenge for you - my own catch was probably just defective & needed an internal tweak / adjustment so you could take the catch apart to see what wears. Shame mechanical design is not what it used to be. Once again many thanks - Just how youtube is meant to work.
Glad you liked it. I did try adjusting mine first but no joy. The basic problem is a metal part moving over a plastic one. Eventually, the metal wears the plastic away.
@@alanwhitehead4142 yes agreed. I did take mine apart as well just to see and expecting the whole thing to fall apart. I too saw the problem of the white plastic cam wear that was allowing the metal leg to trip over onto the ramp part on the first phase movement. However I noted that by adding a small amount of downward pressure onto the metal leg it worked as designed. So I added a small self adhesive pad to the top of the metal arm so that the reassembled plastic top lid applied the added pressure but still allowed the metal arm to move ok. That worked a treat but probably only for a short while plus I added some silicone lube. Fingers crossed.
Many thanks for posting this video. Mine failed after 14months (catch manufactured 2021) Like you, I too was surprised that adjusting didn't work for more than one or two openings. I was fortunate in having a spare unit in the shed (kept for parts from a previous blown element) which worked first time (manufactured 2015). However, without your video, I'd be still struggling to figure out how to remove it from the drawer. Many thanks again for taking the trouble to post. (I've kept the dud unit and will try "Marlow Eye's" approach if it fails again)
Glad to be of help. I couldn't find any instructions online and it was only after taking the whole unit out (assuming there might be screws underneath) that I saw how the catch was released. Hence the video sharing what I found out. What really surprises me is just how many views it has had.
I had a spare from a previous Bosch but still didn’t latch so adjusted with allen key .. to be honest I think that would be the thing to try first as there is an access hole to adjust .. the latch I removed will still work I think just needed adjustment.. 🤷🏼

RANT: Considering how pricey these appliances are and NEFF's positioning of themselves at the 'high end' of the market, these catches are ludicrously flimsy and poorly designed 🤬 They're stupidly expensive too! Seeing @marloweye9188's reply below, I opened up my faulty one to have a look. The steel latch appeared to be catching on the little 'step' at the bottom of the ramp up onto the first phase latching position, so I carefully shaved the corner off the little step with a craft knife to make it a continuous part of the ramp. This now allows the latch to smoothly move up to the latching position. However, if I push the drawer in fully, the latch overshoots the first position and goes straight to the open position. So, if I'm careful to only close the drawer until I hear the first 'Click', it appears to now latch and hold it closed just fine. Pushing the drawer in fully unlatches it and it opens as normal. Not a perfect fix as it now requires a bit of care and finesse when closing, but it might help someone keep a drawer functioning while awaiting delivery of a new part. I've put my new catch away for safekeeping, and I'll see how long my 'repair' lasts. 😁
