The Dishwasher started making some peculiar noises and stopped draining. This is a quick video to show how to get to the pump / impeller to check for blockages and also shows where the blockage ended up.
Hi Chris. My wife once again deemed that it was time to get a new dishwasher. But thanks to your video, I easily identified the problem and fixed it easily. Saved me £150 if I had called somebody to fix it. I found some food particles and a curled up piece of clingfilm. Thank you very much. Your video very good despite the tricky angles.
Thanks for the video, Issue resolved after putting wire through blades, heard a big gurgle, put on a rinse and it drained perfectly! The mrs thinking I’m a super hero now, thanks 👊😀👍
Very helpful video. Cause of my blockage was a leaf. Absolutely no idea how that got in the dishwasher in the first place, let alone through the filter.
Hi ya thanks for the video, was able to find my way to the propeller and discovered a bit of pointed glass which was restricting water getting out. Once removed it’s working like new, Pity the engineer didn’t find that when he done his checks and charged me saying it could happen again in a few days and call him back. I only wish I had found this video before I called him. I do t know what you do but I’ll subscribe to show how grateful I am. Thanks
Thanks Chris - sorted my issue. And having just come down with Covid would have meant at least ten days without a dishwasher. Perish the thought!! 🤷♂️
Ahh I think i have worked out why large things get past the filter, It happed to me. when you lift out the filter if you are not careful things will drop in when you don`t see them while the cover and filter are removed for cleaning. I had a pickle jar transparent plastic gasket drop in jam things up (pardon the pun).
Thanks that was very helpful - the white pump cover you removed has broken and the dishwasher stopped Suspect some bits in the pump and or the fuse has blown? Trying to source the part Any help anyone would be appreciated 🙏
I once found a rollmop stick sitting in the well under the impeller. It took some fidgeting to extract. How the heck did it get past the draining mesh AND the finer filters beats me?
@@ChrisHorswill No, it would seem that the problem is electronic; we are not sure whether to pursue with fixing it or replacing it-- It is about 10 years old.
Sorry, not sure on that one. We do not have a display that would show an error number. Checking the web does not show 31 as an error code. Sure that is what is being displayed? Errors for this model only go up to 26. What is your model number?
