Thanks but this is a summarized presentation and you have to research for more information. It’s difficult to present an extensive history in 20 mnts but that only helps to identify the main points so that you can choose to pursue it on your own. Secondly, I read, research and present what I believed and understood. I can only present what I am convinced about. Don’t we all represent our views on everything we do? If you find something you disagree with, present an alternative view because only you can do it. And I do mine. Thanks a lot.

As you mentioned we, Eritreans, have deep lack of knowledge and that’s the result our social engineering purposely designed by PFDJ. I remember in high no teacher recommended any type of books that elevates students’ awareness or expanding their knowledge beyond the subject matter. Even those who taught history I can’t believe it now when I think of. However, we always have a chance to learn and grow as people no excuse. We just have to have the will. Most of us love to brag about being Eritrean but if we asked what we achieved compared to other society NOTHING 0 . Thanks great content
Mr. Salih as usual I have big credit for your objective presentation. Though I have two corrections regarding you presentation of the History of our area. One is on point 8 which is about death of King Susinos is not 1932 rather circa 1632/3. Moreover about elite people you mentioned ሊሂቃን is the same in Tigrigna the sources is Geez same as ማእምራን. Anyways keep yourself forward as you said History has both light and dark sids, however, no one dying from reading History rather Ignorance of it!!!
Yeah. Thanks for the date correction. It was took late when I found out and didn’t want to republish a correction-smart people find out it’s an innocent error. On the elite, someone assured me it’s Geez. So I thought it was Amharic but now I own it :-). Why do you think some people are mad when they hear something that is against their long held perception instead of being corrected? It amazes me. It seems like they are saying “I love my ignorance, why do you spoil it for me?” Thanks
@@NEGARIT well Salihno, I feel pity for such people. And the problem is as young man I see such kind of problems in different occasions. I guess that we are the product of Only One ☝️ Party, one Mass Media, one ☝️ Dictator leader the entire 30-50 years. So we had luck of balancing problem for such long period of time. Moreover as people also we are very attached for region which is run out of Sin and punishment rather than love and freedom. All this seems like the Aristotelian Allegory of the Cave. When ever we hear such pure historical facts we can not tolerate because for us the only truth is the one that is narrated only by the elite groups. Meanwhile you are delivering good start for the eradication of our ignorance. we have amplitude gap with our modern world and the only solution is as you mentioned “ to speak the truth accordingly”.
I admire your lecture.I wander if you would consider speaking the role Eritrean people played within these 30 years to have Eritrea in the present condition, excluding the government role.
Everywhere it’s the same. But some forces campaign so much that they create a perception it’s not so. Eritreans are also struggling together but some elements make it seem different.
