I have been saving turtles 🐢 my entire life.

Funny story: I went to a Corvette show judged by the local corvette club. It was later in the year than usual and I had put the hard top on my '69 convertible. I decided to leave it on as I does look nice and you rarely see them with the Hard top on. The show had two awards for C3s on for coupes and one for convertibles. As the only c3 convertible that showed, I figured I would win, but when they announced awards, they said there were no C3 convertibles and moved on. I inquired, and they realized there mistake, they had not recognized my car as a convertible with the Hard top.. haha..

Good resurrection project Ben. Should make a good "barn find" as it were driver for whoever commissioned you to tackle the project. Would love to find a similar "barn find" imagining they are out there in whatever numbers. Hopefully not too far gone. This one is noteworthy for its original condition, pretty much unmolested by incompetents as so many are, sadly. Nice job!

I love them hardtops too - especially with the vinyl covering/applique! They look awesome on the late C2s and early C3s, plus people will ignorantly think you're stupid when you tell them "I want a Corvette with a vinyl top!"

Love your channel and how smart you are with video and car repairs, so glad you got a hoist so you don't have to keep crawlilng under the car to fix things. i know im just an old man, age 66 but love vettes and caddys, classic cars and yet im driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT which i want to get rid of cause its just got to many issues and i can't work on cars anymore, bad back. waiting for the next video on this 75, funny how those bumpers just rotted off like that.

I found a 81 vette under a tree at a chicken farm in the middle of nowhere. Been sitting for awhile, engine spun, but no start. Checked and carb is a mess so took it off, and changed the distributor also, planning on new 80 wiring harnesses, and removing the computer. I might have a question or 2 during the biuld. I also have the factory build manual. I normally build c4 vettes, but thought I would give this a go,lol.

May not be loud but its one if the coolest cars 😎

That's a perfect project car. I call those red, orange and blue ones, Painters. That interior will work just fine with black, brown or gun-metal gray. And I'd sell those rubber bumpers and turn that beauty into a 68 model. It needs a black rag-top.

All in all your ride went well. GM started using catalyst in 1975 passenger cars.... did the Corvette use them in 75?

At beginning of video you said you overfilled the ps. The fluid will expand when it gets hot. If it came out the cap, that was probably what happened

That hardtop - never seen one with chrome tips. Must be like a fancy Texas boot. LOL This was like a nature cruise. Got to visit with a turtle and a dawg all in less than 10 miles.

In NY we still have salt powder all in the roads, I need to move to Texas so I can be away from protests and anti gun people. A guy from Texas moved here and he built same identical house he had in Texas and taxes in NY were $25,000, in Texas his Taxes for same house were $8000. Great job with corvette, I hope I can drive my classic soon.

The "key is in the ignition buzzer" worked because you had pulled off on the shoulder of the road and the car was tilted to the passenger side !!!!

To see a turtle on the road in Europe would cause a sensation! There is one species of turtle in whole Europe. In most palces they are extinct. In southern Europe we have one or two species of turtoise. I was amazed how many turtles I have seen on the roads in the States. Unfortunately many were overrun.

I was working in Urgent Care several years ago when two elderly ladies came in. They stopped to rescue a turtle that was in the road. As they were about to set it down in the grass the thing bit the one lady in the breast. She needed stitches and a tetanus shot.

I giggle every time I see this car without the front and rear clip (clip?). Anyhow, Love the car, color in and out. Hope you can sort everything out. 👍🐢🐢🐢👍

Back in 1975 gas stations only had unleaded, regular leaded and premium leaded and all new cars in '75 were required to run on unleaded so they all were low compression.

nice car i wish our gas in canada was that cheap we are currently paying 5 dollar's a gallon.

Had an A/C compressor clutch blow up in the rain but didn't travel too far so the engine wasn't hot.

I use 93 octane but I get the smog motor deal.....

Love the color orange. Love the turtle save. I do it all the time. A lot of painted turtles here. Even got a snapper out of the road last year. Why did you put 10% corn in that motor? Not sure I would do that.

In Europe we pay around 6$ per gallon. Many places more than that.

Always had issues with the brake equalizer valve when bleeding brakes closing off rear brakes. Have issues with it ?
