Another great and probably very useful lesson. While in Thailand, I never negotiated prices at the market, because they were completely abstract to me. However, I happened to negotiate a 50% discount on a TukTuk ride, because the price given by the driver seemed too high to me. Then it turned out that the road to the destination was very long, and I felt remorse that I took advantage of this man, for whom it was perhaps the most important income of the day. He spent over 2 hours on the road with us and another 2 waiting for the way back. Close to 100% understanding.

I've done some haggling in Thailand over prices, usually when buying clothes at a market, but I don't really like doing it, especially if it's only a couple dollars. I think the most I've gotten the price down was around 25%. Thanks for the fun lesson, understood 95%.

Understood about 90%. I don’t enjoy haggling but I have done it a lot at markets and with taxis. The biggest discount I got was 50% off a necklace. I knew I was still being overcharged a bit, but at least not as much lol

สวัสดีครับ Thanks for the lesson. I'm just wondering how should I navigate these lessons? I've been learning Thai for about six months now. I know the alphabet fairly well and can read and write on a fairly basic level but I think my listening comprehension is behind. Should I start with the most basic lessons and listen to just one over and over again until it makes sense or listen to a variety? Thank you 🙏
