Harvey passed away 1 year later on Sept 1 2018-his wife's birthday, 6 months after his wife passed in March. He was a biology teacher for 16yrs, he volunteered time at a community care center, he volunteered with the park sevice for 29 yrs. He is intered at Fort Snelling for his service in the war. What a respectable man.
Wow! Thanks for the update even though I just found the story. I have a feeling those chairs will either remain outside anyway or be put up and never used again!
RIP Harvey, he sounded like an incredible man who earned and deserved every bit of the neighborhood love and support he received. What a treasure it must have been to know him.
If we're all so lucky to make it to 96 and be so loved. 😢❤ thank you for posting this update. I was gonna go look. Harvey is surely young again resting on a bench in Valhalla with his military siblings. Delighting in the hero's heaven.
He died on his wife's birthday? 😢 He probably died from the grief. Rice University did a study that shows grief causes huge spikes in inflammation, which causes all sorts of diseases, and death. You're especially more likely to die from grief if you eat meat, dairy, and eggs, since animal products cause inflammation and also shorten your telomeres.
I think we’re might be paying enough attention. The story i saw before this was of a two year old who befriended his neighbor, a woman who is in her 90’s. They are BFFS now ❤
It is heartwarming, if we help each others like this, the world is pleasure to live. Literally, all people in the world want peace but that is not the way few leaders wants, they just want power and do things for their sake than for benefits of their people..
I hope he doesn't get shot to death with all of this cowardly stand your ground BS that's always going on these days. That would be a hell of a way for a WWII veteran to go out of this world, killed by cowardly moron just for sitting in a chair.
