@@Hulk2k6 but the 28th of June in "87 was a Sunday...I assume BBC first started showing Neighbours on a Monday, so the final Ch7 ep would have landed on a Friday.
@TF80s I got the 1987 dates mixed up with the 1993 UK Gold repeats dates (same time frame just 6yrs apart), thst'll teach not me to go that episode site half asleep! Now in the clear light of day, you're right
Charlene (portrayed by Kylie Minogue) actually made her very first appearance in Neighbours towards the end of episode 234. Following that, episode 235 of Neighbours marked Kylie Minogue's very first complete episode as Charlene Mitchell. So, there you go.
Apparently an unseen family called the Simpsons, who are said to have moved out in 1988 when the house is auctioned. It's possible that the new family in this episode were meant to move into what had been Paul and Terry's house but that the real life residents of that house refused permission to shoot the network 10 episodes there so they went the other side of the main three houses for the new family instead.
