I only recently realized that neil is indeed the second coming, as he has not chosen to bring all nations crashing to the ground. Such altruism can only be divine.
As a non-English speaking person who had only caught a few words of the songs she's listened to all her life i can guarantee that : "Todaydodedodedodey dadida dida dadi" are the authentic lyrics of the song wondrol
@@Skiivin Understanding spoken language and written language are different skills. I have a friend who can type Spanish for her job but can't hold a conversation to save her life
I get that Neil has a reputation as a meme lord, but damn this song is well crafted in pretty much every way. The arpeggio at 0:55 sends chills down my spine every time.
@@wax2743 I came here looking for this comment. You are 100% right. It's brilliantly crafted. I've literally never heard a slur into a chord like that in music before. That's impressive.
1:17 it's this part that made me realize neil was FULLY capable of making a really beautiful rendition/remix of wonderwall but chose to NOT do that and make this instead. and this is why i love him
Our names are similar 🤯 also yes I agree 1:17 is beautiful and I only wish neil did more stuff like it I love how afterwards he's like "nah that sounded way too good, next part should be reversed"
still playable. you can play it in drop or cittern hell even modal, overtone or mando tuning, my point was you can play it on the most strenuous tuning therefore you don't need to retune. its just basic chords.
This is quite possibly the most profound piece that Neil's ever done, and I still think about it constantly. This song is the audible death of Wonderwall-the cry that signals that nobody needs to use it in a remix ever again. Neil brutalizes the song, stomps on it, spits on it, and beats it to within an inch of its life, until it isn't even recognizable by its own mother (who, I guess, would be Noel Gallagher?) Finally, he puts the agonized, mangled husk out of its misery by shooting it with a fucking gun. And the gun is the theme from Full House.
lmao this comment is so full of shit neil literally used this song in wallspin in the very next album and it was one of the highlights of the album don't accept music criticism from fucking youtube comments
The bits and melodies that Neil added in from 0:54-1:38 seriously sound incredible. I like to believe that there’s an alternate universe where Wonderwall never existed and this bit was used on a nonexistent Spirit Phone track.
Imagine a school concert. One of those middle or high school ones where they preform some prepared pieces and in other smaller groups they do their own thing. Now imagine a group of kids doing Wonderwall. People are having a really good time, and then out of goddamn nowhere some kid with a saxophone and another with a guitar run out and start playing the Full House Theme and everyone is just caught off guard. I need to do that it's my life goal. Even if it's an adult talent show.
i'd never heard wonderwall before listening to this version, so when the un-neil'd version came on the radio one day it was a shocking and visceral experience.
I'm gonna take a saxophone to the next party I go to and wait for someone to start playing wonderwall... Then I will burst in at the appropriate time and start playing the intro to Full House
I really like how the song abruptly starts in the beginning as if the song was always going on in the background but you only noticed it now. Like a statement of wonderwall itself being played to death everywhere, where you don't even notice its presence anymore. I like it so much I forgot it wasn't in the original song.
The original song is perfect as it is. This mashup is interesting but that's it. Definitely not an improvement like people are suggesting in the comments.
scary dolphin yo dawg, did you know that people have different opinions and shit? I think this version is far superior than Oasis’s version for example
If you take the vowels that are missing, “o, e, a”, you’ll notice they’re the same vowels from “OH, YEAH” and I think that’s such a beautiful Easter egg. Truly a musical genius.
Because maybeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I was listening to Modest Mouth at work and I forgot to turn autoplay off and we suddenly got a lot of customers and this started blasting and I couldn't turn it off because we got so busy. How did I not get fired?
Jakephlosion It is very faint and you most likely would need an audio program to up the volume. Search up easter eggs in Neil Cicierega songs and you are sure to find it.

Ziax you also missed the loud bass sound with the applause during the Full House theme. It's "we can all use a little channnnngeeee" played at *6.25%* speed.
I'd like to believe that an alien spacecraft passes by earth to see if we have developed intelligent life yet and this transmission comes on and one says to the other "crap, they surpassed us a long time ago..."
It's not random tho. Neil used the Full House theme for a song in his other album Mouth Sounds, then fucking AGAIN when you least expect it near the end of the next song. He's played the long game with this shit.
I hate (actually love) to say it, but song is actually what introduced me to the original. Yep, 9 years ago. In 2014. Imagine never being aware of Wonderwall’s existence for almost 20 years. I don’t believe that anybody… will believe me.
i have been doing through the mouth expereince for the fun of it and out of all the song this one actually got me the transition into "everywhere you look" legitmatly trolled me while i was doing the dishes today
>Drops banger harmony at 1:16 that's unironically and probably unintentionally better than the original >Releases it _as part of a fucking meme album cover of his own songs_ >Refuses to elaborate further >Leaves Incredible.
HOLY SHIT IT’S ACTUALLY BACK I can’t believe this i was checking through the mouth silence playlist and I realized this was on here and I thought I was fever dreaming for a moment
Give all the honors to Neil Cicierega. He's responsible for making this monstrosity of a song, as well as two 19 track albums of them, Mouth Sounds and Mouth Silence, this being included on the latter.
