It must be 50 years since I last heard this as a young kid. I'd completely forgotten it until I heard it tonight, and I had to come and listen to it again. It's a magnificent piece of music - just what you might expect from Neil Diamond in the 60s. Just... magnificent.

True this. I met my husbands Parents, I am a Granddaughter, of. A German officer in WW 2. My great uncle in lufewafe, my future in laws , a navigator in the Lancasters. Still face the same ignorance, from his family and their children. We came through, against many odds. I cry every time at this song. Let’s all the emotions in and the pain out. It depends on how old she is! My wife was 19 when we met and I was 33! We have 3 beautiful children and have been together 16 years.
