I was on a train journey recently and saw about 6 horses and their foals racing along the hills as the mist started to rise. It was a wonderous sight and sadly i was the only one (in my line of vision) that witnessed it. Everyone else was sitting zombie like looking at their moronic 2 inch screens. I have left the world of mobile phones and have felt nothing but joy at being released from the shackles of this monstrous invention which seems to utterly dictate human behaviour.
The technology itself isn't to blame ...it's how people use it.. I use mine to access ordnance survey maps and explore the countryside, Have started listening to the complete works of Dickens, and last night listened to Suor Angelica by Puccini...I would not have been able to afford any these experiences without my phone. We have all the World's Art, Blues Jazz Soul, Great works of Literature, Philosophy History, but most people just watch porn. Blame people, not the technology itself, if people want to consume excrement some 'kind' soul will always sell it to them.
The church has been a big let down for me and I'm not even a church goer. As a wee lad, I was raised to believe the church was a force for good. I was dragged to Sunday school against my will and indoctrinated, so I had it drummed into me. But where was the church during lockdown ... SILENT Where was the church during the recent riots after the slaughter of innocent children at Southport...SILENT. Where is the church when UK individuals are being locked up for reasonable protest and imprisoned for FB comments...SILENT. At what point did the church turn its back, and decide to keep its mouth shut ?

I'm 68 with a 21 year old son born late in my life, as well as young adult grandchildren. I'm so proud of these youngsters, truly, they have their own crosses to bear but are grounded and sensible. We need to return to simpler ways of living, less tech, more nature, more reading, more home cooking, more closeness and appreciation for the people around us who we love. If we return to simpler ways of living, things would naturally make us more alive and less inclined to be part of the nonsense that is being forced on us. As a 70 year old I remember how life used to be, it was never perfect, but it was more human than what we have now. Our cultures and way of life can be ours again, but we have to start as individuals to make it happen.
The Amish have managed to do this. I’ve never found anyone here who wants to create a community- they are perhaps eager to join once the hard work is done. This is my experience so far. People just look to take advantage.
@@LilyGazou I think in our current world when people try to create community, egos get in the way. There is always someone who makes things difficult. Living simpler lives as an individual or as a family models a lifestyle that others might be drawn too, and who will try and create that in their own lives too. Unfortunately the west is now so consumer driven it is hard to make headway, but we can all try. Who knows what might happen if we all limit our tech and go back to older and simpler ways of life. It is worth it to my family to find out.

It was not about "mass-hypnosis via propaganda",it was about very common and unavoidable human propensity to believe absolutely anything based on our emotional attachments to the "truths" we've learned and how those inevitably lead to a creation of totailitarian societies/ states.
