As Neil rightfully demonstrates, winning these challenges against Stephen by not just outplaying but maybe even more so, by outtalking Stephen. 😂 if you *are* the one talking all the time no one can distract you by talking too much😂😂
Neil is one of my favorite players. Hes just been having an off time right now and it happens. He will pull out of it. He has a lot of years left in this game. Great video as usual stephen. Im one of the rare snooker players from the u.s. lol. Not sure why its not popular here. I wish it was.
I've been watching your channel for over a year now, and I have to say what great entertainment it is. Never yet seen a dull video, and learned a few things to take to my own game also.
The major tv networks are missing a trick here....Mr Hendry presnting a new style big break game show, with his routines and Tough table challenge would be awesome
Yeah, plus seeing snooker players far more relaxed lets us see the "characters" more. Can only help drive engagement in the tournaments, which will be desperately needed when Ronnie gives it up.
@@entrace1I agree, why commercialise it when Hendry has full creative control right now. Love the channel. Dont move to tv, which means a Sky subscription and 1000 ads. Ta x
Eh, it’s probably gaining more viewers online, younger people all stream stuff rather than watch live tv now. This is keeping snooker more modern. Would be nice if this channel/type of content was shouted out during some of the tv tournaments though.
Robertson is the best potter when he's on like this. Great episode he's one of my favorites to watch, so strong and smooth stroke. More world titles for Robertson coming for sure.
Well played Neil, agree with others I'm amazed he hasn't had more world titles. Fantastic pool player too, which may just have helped him with a couple of these challenges, by seeing patterns more easily. That, coupled with his cue action and technique, one of the best out there. Hope he gets on well this year. Brilliant stuff on this channel, Stephen, keep up the great work.
and Hendry two separate times brings up that he has to qualify for the Crucible in the middle of Neil's attempts in the first two challenges - and he crushes both still!
In terms of talking, being humble, and having a good laugh, Neil is just simply one of the best guys on tour! It‘s unfortunate that his game sometimes isn‘t as exciting, especially when he prolongs his shot time but he‘s an amazing character for the game!
What a great player, Neil is and yet so few titles. It just shows you how small the margins are between success and failure are when you play at their level.
Great video, some interesting chat too. I love Neil, not only a great snooker player, but says it how it is. He will be back winning again soon I am sure, and maybe qualifying for the worlds could do him some good (thinking of Ding, he had to qualify one year, then got to the final!).
I think people dont understand properly how this channel and Mr Hendry effort worth! This is an absolute point of view and thinking of two best player in the field of snooker ( sport ). 🔆 specially for a person like me, in a country with lack of snooker learning opportunities. With kind attitude, without any arrogance! Tnx for your contrbution to the world of snooker Mr Hendry 🙏
You know what, I love his self confidence! Some people might see it as arrogance or being big headed but he knows his ability he knows how good he is! Fair play 👏
Anyone else noticed that in the rolit second before he hits a shot in a challenge, Stephen's eyes have that same look we saw when he was still dominating? Stephen was such an incredible weapon.
Yoy talking about the future of snooker reminded me of how we saw three snooker halls close here in Adelaide soon after Neil won his first world championship. All cue sports need better marketing here in Australia. Great video guys. Thank you
How many shots did Roberson actually miss here. None? Crazy precision even while talking all way through. 70/70 or there abouts, yet he still crashes out of world qualifiers. Just shows you how much talent there is now in top level snooker.
I remember playing cricket on the snooker table, one person has to pot reds only, the other person posts colours in order, the colours keep coming back out until all the reds are potted.. great fun with doubles or group ..
There is a good load of young players from the uk i used to play a lot as a kid i got a break of 68 when i was 13 but chose another path i seen a lad in the local snooker club last week must of been no older then 9 and made me look silly i was happy for hom 👌👌
Don't forget the century of centuries in one season, awesome talent. I don't mind Judd, but was really disappointed he didn't shake Neil's hand when the hundredth century went in.
Stephen you should get Manu Tuilagi on the show. He's just about to retire from England, and he's a big snooker fan. Would be awesome to see you interview him
I'm a Welsh left hander in London. digging your flavour dude. Where do you play? I'd be honoured to meet you at a table. only even for five minutes....😇
I think 1 big problem with snooker is availability of places to play, where i live im lucky we have a pub which has a snooker room with 2 tables but other than that i would have to travel into Nottingham city centre and can get expensive. Whereas darts and the boards are cheap so a lot of us have a dartboard at home and if not most pubs and community centres have a dartboard and it doesn't cost anything to play.
Seems a cracking bloke Neil, and in terms of talent, he has to be one of the best potters of all time. I have a theory about left handers that if they are good and strongly left dominant, they generally master things to a higher degree than right biased (maradona, messi in football, niel, mark williams, trump in snooker etc etc).
Absolutely NOT! He will drop out of the top 16 for good! He wont recover after the recent WHITEWASH- And the PUMMELING Judd gave him at the World Finals 2019. The new bottler on the block John Higgins that lost a final to Neil after leading 9-4. The cheat deserves it!
@@WayneAnthonyHolmes-re3qsnot sure what your point is, but Robbo was simply mistaken about Higgins having to qualify for this years WC. However results go, he’ll still be in top 16. Jack Lisowski will have to qualify. As will Robbo himself if he does win world open.
They talked much about young talented players and about the future, but not once did they mention Luca Brecel. They don't count him as such a good player? He won the worlds.
Like having a game with your mates, who just happen to have 8 wc titles between them. Thank you, Mr. Hendry. And Mr. Robertson, if one may be so bold, get you sh*t together!
No. Unfortunately, he is playing the worst season of his career. If nothing changes, then he has no chance of winning the WSC. P.S. I'm huge fan of Neil.
@@MrAlexAugur I think the important factor here is pointed out in your own comment "If nothing changes". If i've noticed anything about Snooker it's that someone can suddenly be playing what seems like their top game out of the blue. He has the skill in him so we're not talking about a player that hasn't shown the ability to get there. Obviously, it is harder when you aren't playing your best but never say never.
He has to qualify first, 2 possibly 3 best of 19, just to get to the actual Crucible. Shocking to hear, am sure he will qualify and it would be an absolute nightmare if he failed, as its double points at the biggest tournament of the season.
This is a key issue for me in the modern era, that we are constantly told that "The standard has gone through the roof" but also that nobody can knock the old-heads out of the top-16 because there aren't the youngsters around that can beat them...
