Steve Davis was the same. Everyone, including me, thought he was a boring b*stard off the table. And then I found out he’d paid for the French underground band from the 70’s, MAGMA, to reform and play a gig in London, just so he could see them live! They reformed permanently down to Davis. Who knew Steve “Interesting” David had amazing taste in music! And now he DJ’s and makes his own electronic music with Kavus Torabi in the group Utopia Strong, who’ve played at Glastonbury and supported The Steve Hillage band on tour! Very “interesting” indeed!

@@stabilis8895 believe me i know that now! haha. i think before playing golf i would look at it from the outside and just think its hitting a ball with a golf club in the direction of the hole so how hard can it be right... now i know my fade from my slice and i dont have the skill to plan either one lol. I guess its like snooker in a sense since were on this channel, to the average viewer its difficult to appreciate the skill required when it just looks like hitting balls around a table but like you rightly say, these guys possess skill we just cant fathom and the requirement of skill to be considered even ''good'' at the game is really high.

I concur. I played a year or so ago after not playing for about ten years and I couldn't hit squat and I used to be quite handy. If I took 5 years off playing golf my handicap would go up ten.
