As Seeburg indicates, the SMC2 was made from 1979 thru 1981. The SMC3 of 1984 was the last Seeburg that played records. The motor for the volume control is inside the jukebox connected to the volume control by a rubber coupler. On my SMC2, I left the switch in the service mode which put it on free play. The MCU finally failed so I got the upgraded MCU(no more "D" batteries and consequently had no acid damage) from Ron Rich, who designed them. The amp lost a channel and I found out that it had the wrong amp, which had less power. I got the proper amp from Bill Bickers.
I have one, but no sound comes out, just a static sound. Any idea what could be wrong, it turns on, lights up, and does everything it's suppose to do just no music anymore. 🤔
